Sadly in the last few months prices have gone up and there is mostly junk for sale. Used shoes are crazy expensive and shelves are empty. Broken or dirty and nothing worth purchasing. Everything nice goes to the boutique in town...

It’s the worst place I’ve been to ever in my life! For being a Christian place there’s nothing Christian about the people that work there. Nothing is labeled correctly. Nothing is tagged correctly they don’t have proper sizes Especially for bigger sized people! Even the cleanliness of the bathroom was not up to par. I would never recommend this place to anyone and honestly I don’t understand why they’re even open to the public when they have no people skills and are very disrespectful and rude especially the cashiers. Honestly, it’s not a great way to run any establishment!

All the staff was friendly and helpful. This place felt like it job st kept going. At first I thought it was one room, then I realized there was a basement full of furniture and another long room for housewares. The prices were typical of a yard sale. I wouldn't say the place was 'super clean' but I didn't get that ick feeling I've gotten in super dusty cruddy places. Plus they have an outdoor garden section where they sell herbs and flowers. Pretty neat for a random adventure

Staff is very warm , helpful to the community. Has fun events for the public. Plenty of different items in good condition and cheap. Its fun to find an awesome treasure. A great book selection for all genres. I can't say anything but good things about the Mission.

They stopped taking some common recyclables, so that's a mark off, but the inside store is great. Clothes are extremely cheap, and their furniture selection is pretty decent for what it is. All the money spent there supposedly goes to something good, and if not it's all cheap so it's not bad.

I can always find something awesome here, friendly cashiers. In the summer the backroom of shopping gets a bit hot, other then that this place is a hidden gem. At times the shelves arent really put together but sometimes there is joy in rummaging through stuff. :)

We go there to look around and have usually found great deals and appreciate the general atmosphere. However our visit there a few weeks ago was not so great. As we entered into the doorway, there were boxes with withered or rotting produce, plant starters in same condition. Inside the area that used to house glassware and fancier dishes no longer was there and the shelves that remained were kind of junky from what I had encountered before. We were able to get a few items in the back and checked out. Everything just seemed in such disarray and tossed about. I hope our next visit will find things in better condition. We love the store and have always enjoyed our finds. Just this time was off.

A thrift store that employs homeless in exchange for room and board. A great idea for the community. Prices are generally low and you can sometimes find high end items way underpriced. The jewelry is often nice but way overpriced more often then not. Its also not climate controlled very well and freezing inside during the colder months.

Review based on dropoff experience. Ladies up front were very nice but dropoff guy was ignorant and rude as could be. He was jumping up and down like a orangutan and yelling. Wouldn't help unload and kept screaming put it on the ground. Not sure if he is a volunteer or a court ordered community service but he needs to go or learn how to not be so ignorant.

Some of my family and friends like the place, but I stay in the car or don't go when they want. I CAN NOT STAND THE SMELL OF THAT PLACE!! I'd rather go to the Community Aid or a Goodwill.

Great place to donate "stuff" that has life left in it but you don't need. The store sells a wide variety of donated items at very low prices. The store used to handle recycling of electronics but now only glass, paper, metal scrap. It is a hands on charity.

I rarely find anything of value here. I have long suspected that they cream off the good donations and just sell the junk. The other day I bought a bolt of fabric only to find out that it was completely worthless and had been cut up throughout the bolt for appliqués. No reason for them to sell something that should be trashed. I would recommend you visit other thrift stores.

My wife and I love this place for second hand merchandise, it's along the lines of a Goodwill and Community Aid as a thirft shop that's operated by a Christian Church Organization. The merchandise here is in decent shape for being used and prices are reasonable the employees are friendly and helpful.

I love to go to BOGO on Friday with my wife. We can always find a little something for each of us. And we usually can find stuff for our grandkids too.

As a shameless thrift store browser 😆 I can't put the quality or selection of clothing very high up on my list, but there are certainly plenty of items in good shape, at some of the cheapest prices I've come across. As a matter of fact, I grabbed a few t-shirts for myself at $2.00 a piece. The backroom houses all of the houseware, more shoes, cosmetic/hygiene needs, fabrics books, and so, so much more. Then downstairs, you'll find all the larger household items such as beds, sofas, tables, chairs, lamps, etc. The staff is very kind, and more than willing to lend a helping hand, whether it's finding something, or loading/unloading items. I feel like The Adams County Rescue Mission tends to get overlooked. So please remember, those items you no longer have a use for, could be an absolute treasure to someone else 😊

Thrift shop with a wide selection. I’ve found some treasures here! Prices are reasonable, though I’ve noticed they’ve increased a little recently. Staff always nice and helpful.

I tried to donate a full garage of sellable items so much so I called and asked if they could pick it up. I was told that they only picked up furniture. And that I would have to bring in in myself. I thought that they would appreciate thedonation. For a operation that is financed through donations. That was a slap in the Face.Never again a dollar of mine will ever be spent or given to a place that has so much money that they refuse donations. This place will only care if you were a supporter with big cash donations. And they treat the people who stay work like slaves to their needs.

My name is Don and I can tell you from a very bad experience at this so called Christian mission that there is not much agape love at all. They are worried about only one thing and that's money. They make you work 6 days a week, 8 hours a day in their recycling center and expect you to do that for four months just to stay at this ungodly place. It's modern day slavery while they enjoy all the benefits. The pastor (Bruce) is very ignorant and has no respect or understanding of what some of us are dealing with.I myself have bulging and herniated disc in my back and was told by the director that he doesn't run a flop house. If I can't work for them then I am not what they need there. The over night staff "who are also men who live there" are very ignorant and have a bad attitude and also drunk on the property and in the building and they have nothing done about it.I would never recommend this ungodly place to anyone. My opinion is that they need to be and should be investigated by the state . I myself am filing a formal complaint with the state and also to the Pastoral committee.I suggest that anyone else who has been there and has had similar issues to do the same.

In today's rough and tumble society, the staff of workers and volunteers at Adam's Rescue Mission are like a cool glass of water on a hot summers day. The work they do and the support that they lend to the community are such a rare and valuable commodity these days. Please stop in and visit their thrift store. Just by shopping here you are helping make it possible for A.R.M. to assist those in our community, who need the assistance in re-establishing themselves and to overcome many of life's difficulties. So, if you ever find yourself wondering how or what you can do to help somebody in need, come on down to the mission and just ask what you can do to help. If nothing else just come in and check out the thrift store, great buys, at great prices, and all proceeds stay right here in the community that we all love.

This place is a nightmare inside and out. They sell junk, price gouge, and don't appreciate donations.
