We were there couple of days ago and we would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a nice getaway from your regular life and relaxation time close to the nature!!The cabin was super clean and the fireplace was one making the cabin cozy and comfortable. It was spacious and was equipped with all the necessary kitchen items, up and running warm water, and beds with mattresses etc. The view was amazing, firewood and fire pit were easily accessible right next to the creek.Last but not the least, there communication was excellent. Michelle was super nice and helpful. Thank you so much guys for making our stay comfortable and memorable!Rooms: Rooms are spacious especially Oak cabin!Safety: It’s a safe place, with booking manager very easy to communicate with and linked to the main road in case of any emergencies.

We stayed in the big cabin for a girls weekend away and the place was just perfect for 8 of us. It was better than advertised...really roomy with enough sitting for everyone to hang around in the living room and plenty of room to eat at the dining room table. The place was clean and had everything we needed and more. We had fun playing pool for a bit and really enjoyed the hot tub. Everything was immaculate and they are working to improve an already wonderful property. They are adding a charging station. It looks like they added a brand new playground. It was a great place to get away from it all with beauty scenery, nice hiking and kayaking opportunties nearby and great cell signal!

This place is doing everything right! Our cabin (Maple) was clean, comfortably furnished, had a great gas fire place, a full kitchen with all the basics, a grill and utensils for cooking out, and a beautiful porch with a swing and a view of the extensive grounds and Pine Creek. Very romantic cabin! The grounds have several outdoor fire pits, a pavilion, and benches and chairs scattered around for enjoying the beautiful views . There is so much outdoor space for kids and dogs to play. The grounds and areas around the cabins and walkways were well-lit and spotless! We didn’t have a reservation and no one was in the office but a quick call got us in our cabin within a half hour. Highly recommend this gem!

Excellent and quiet location. I even left a pillow at the cabin and they got it in the mail the next day. Property is beautiful and close to every outdoor activity imaginable. My brother and I were blessed to discover this place for a quick get away from the city. In the evening we went to Cherry Springs to look at the stars and admire God’s handiwork. Wellsboro isn’t far and they have a great restaurant ‘Red Lantern’ which was a nice surprise for being so far up in the country. Check in process and check out was painless.

Rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed in suite 7, on the end. It had a firm king bed, fireplace, full kitchen, and a very nice selection of cookware. Bathroom was a nice size with a modern shower. There was a comfortable couch and TV that you could watch from your bed. The only slight downside, and I stress slight, is the road noise from the trucks on Route 66. The unit has very well insulated walls and glass windows. We couldn’t hear our neighbors at all. Overall we would definitely stay here again, as we loved the space. Communication was prompt and professional.Nearby activities: Very close to PA Grand Canyon

My wife and I along with our dog stayed for three nights in suite three for our 20th anniversary and it was wonderful ,very clean and cozy,with a very well stocked kitchen with everything you could need to prepare meals except for the food. The area is beautiful with great views . Michelle was very helpful, we decided to stay another night last minute , and she put us up in Maple cabin which was very nice and romantic . I can't say enough about Rough Cut Lodge and its staff !

We stayed at Oak cabin for a few nights in February. The property was nice, especially being close to Pine Creek. The fireplace was so nice to have on cold nights, and the night sky was clear enough to use a telescope some nights. Very cozy for a getaway and close to the PA Grand Canyon.Nearby activities: PA Grand Canyon, Hiking, Kayaking, Cherry Spring State Park, Shopping downtown Wellsboro and Galeton, Antiquing

Absolutely awesome.. from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. The suite we were in was 1. It was decorated beautifully. Fully stocked kitchen utensils. Stunning views of pine creek and mountains. Deck with rocking chairs. Perfect location to stay for an adventure. Close to delicious restaurants. I recommend the lig cabin inn. Reservations a must. Go see for yourself rough cut lodge is the most beautiful place i have ever stayed in the entire region. It is a must visit. Highly recommend going and seeing for yourself.

Excellent location and views. We stayed at Hickory cabin..it was very clean and beautiful with gorgeous views. Our two teens also loved the place overall. Michelle who manages /owns the place was very pleasant and helpful and responded promptly to our questions.Thank you Michelle and we plan to visit again very soon.

The suite was beautiful and rustic with a comfortable bed, good internet access and nice amenities. Would highly recommend.Nearby activities: About 20 minutes away from Cherry Springs State Park. The park has amazing nighttime views of the Milky Way/stargazing. Bring a DSLR, a telescope or at least a tripod to steady your smartphone to take incredible pictures.

Wonderful place to stay! We needed a last minute place to stay for one night and we have two toddlers so ideally wanted a room for them so we wouldn’t wake them, so I picked a two bedroom suite. The staff provided us pack n plays and it worked out perfectly. The suite was so nice and clean inside. Wish we could’ve stayed another night! Plus they had a playground which our twins enjoyed too.

Cabins are immaculate stocked with everything needed. Beautiful property. Property was an active construction site this summer. Made our reservations one week prior to arrival and they were not transparent about the fact that construction would be taking place on property from before 8 am until 3 ish pm. Noise of the construction took away from the beauty. Also, lodge is located directly on a main road; on top of construction noise there is the noise of road traffic making it less than peaceful.

We reserved a cabin for March not expecting to deal with snow. We got 6” while we were there, which added to the beauty of the area. Very relaxing and pup friendly. Only negatives were that all their checkout registrations made us feel like we were employed there and maintenance never showed up to remove snow till we were leaving, 12 hours after the snow had stopped. Would probably stay again if vacationing in the area.

Absolutely LOVED this place! The property is well cared for, the lodge suites were quite lovely, well maintained, had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and the room was very clean. The outdoor area was also quite nice... with several fire pit areas with nice bench seats and complimentary fire wood, a small covered gazebo and a larger pavilion. We really enjoyed the swing that sits alongside the creek.. so peaceful! HIGHLY recommend! We will most definitely be back!!

I can’t stress enough how clean and cozy our cabin was. We stayed in suite 4 and were pleasantly surprised that the fireplace ( which is tied into the thermostat) was on when we arrived at 8 o’clock that night. We have stayed other places where you have to wait for it to warm up when you get there. We paid extra for the linen service because it was more convenient than packing those items and then have the added wash when we got home. Tastefully decorated and comes with everything one would need. Would definitely stay again!

First, no one told me my accommodations had an excellent view of.... the fkn hwy! Second, this in no way shape or form is any kind of camping! It's an Air B & B or motel.The grills aren't near the suits, nor are there picnic tables near the grills. The fan in the bathroom did not remove excess heat/steam. They have a tip envelope, but leave me a list yo do the cleaning as part of check out!

Booking was good. The room was very clean and nice. There are costs that are not known when booking through an agency related to bringing your own towels and sheets.We had a power outage and management made no attempt to proactively contact us or provide help with lighting, bathroom services, showers. Etc. Had to drive out of area to text them. Was never offered any help till 2 hours before checkout time. They obviously did not have an emergency management plan.
