Food was excellent!!! Came out quick and generous portions for the prices! I got the BBQ chicken melt and my friends got the Friedensburger and the Haddock. All three meals looked great and everyone said that they loved it! Definitely coming back again!

Context is important. Not a ton of restaurant options in this area. Friedensburg Country Restaurant has a really friendly staff, huge menu and tasty food. Mega Burgers definitely seem to be the specialty! We all enjoyed our meals and pricing is very reasonable. Stop by if you're in the area!

Had a wonderful experience earlier this week where 20% of their entire day's sales were donated going towards Cassie Wolfe's fundraiser. Was really nice seeing the place packed with a long waiting line the entire day. The wait time considering the situation wasn't that bad, and the service was great ! Especially Shay ! She and all the ladies working that day handled everything like bosses. Was a great turn out and I was really proud of my community that day, for sure. Thanks to all who had their part in making that day what it was. Quick healing, Cassie !

My sister took me and my daughter to this restaurant and my sister and I ordered baked haddock and 2 veggies, senior platter and my daughter ordered turkey over waffles with gravy and loaded fries... when the waitress brought out our food to our table...OMG... the portions were huge, we could not believe that we were getting this much food... The food was amazing, the service and atmosphere was great..we will be definitely going there a few times a month. The prices are awesome...so much food for a decent price.. thank you to the owners for offering us amazing food at awesome prices.. your restaurant is priceless.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The waitress was very pleasant and very attentive. It does not look like much on the outside but it is very nice and clean inside. I would highly recommend.

Foods great! Service is ok. Atmosphere? Typical Pa Dutch old timers type place. If you don’t mind eating in a diner type setting the foods worth going. Oh yeah! They serve beer! 💯👍🏻

Don't get the popcorn chicken bowl unless you like licking a salt shaker. Extremely salty and entirely way to much gravy. It might as well just be listed on the soup menu because that's pretty much what you're getting...And when you go to checkout and they ask you how your meal was and you say not good and kindly explain why and have the server agree with you and tell you "yeah I never recommend that one it's never good" and then you still get charged full price.

Good food , great menu….however the last THREE takeout orders were wrongOne was missing salads and sides, one was missing an entire entree and tonight’s takeout… entire order was wrongEven ordering with the new online system and giving order number still resulted in errorsVery disappointing😔

Saw the reviews for this diner as I was looking for a late lunch after visiting Yuengling brewery in Pottsville. Thought we would give it a try!Pleasantly surprised by some of the Pennsylvania Dutch items on the menu.We had the open faced roast beef sandwich (which was excellent!), a cup of soup of the day (halupki soup, which was a tomato base with cabbage and rice), and the lettuce salad with warm bacon dressing (amazing).Hubby had the taco special which was also tasty.Our young waitress was pleasant as well!

Had Thanksgiving dinner buffet style,it was packed.They were nice and the food was average/ok.20$ a head even for my 6 yr old who only had 1 bite of cake.

Struggled with what rating to give this restaurant. I was here for a gathering in the banquet room. so did not eat at the restaurant itself. The food that was served in the banquet room was bland, and chicken breast was dry. They did not even have utensils to serve all of the food with. Never saw anyone that worked at the restaurant the whole time we were there. The building looked like it needed a good cleaning.

This is a four (or sometimes five star) "country" or "family" restaurant. Usually very good service here. Also I don't believe that they have raised their prices despite "inflation." Lots of good food served in comfortable atmosphere. Senior portions available for many entrees. Their "side" salads are large and dressings are ample. They are also generous with their French fries. Try their Patty Melt Sandwich and Onion Rings. You will not regret it!

Arrived at 1:45 and sat ourselves, per the sign. Four other tables in the restaurant were seated. At 1:50, we decided we were giving it 5 minutes until we left, as we had not so much as gotten menus yet. Finally, a young woman with a ponytail came and gave us menus--and walked away. Took almost 5 more minutes before another older woman came and took our drink order; at which point I was finally able to ask for a high chair for my son.While we were waiting for our drinks--15 minutes after we first arrived--a woman with medium length black hair got up from one of the other tables, at which point I realized she was not part of the family sitting there, but a waitress! Who had ignored us walking in and sitting without being acknowledged for all that time. She went back and got that table's food--AND THEN CAME TO TAKE OUR ORDER!!! She was our waitress the whole time, and didn't so much as look our way for nearly 20 minutes!!We got our order in. The appetizer sampler was pretty good. Then our burgers came. Our burgers that we each ordered medium...acknowledged on the order sheet. They came out so overdone that they were crumbling! I think they would have tasted pretty good if they were done right. We ate less than one whole burger between us and brought the rest home for our dog.I never write reviews like this, but the service was so ridiculous that I felt I needed to. This was our first and last time at this restaurant. Which is a shame, because I'd heard so many good things before this.

Wow! The best burgers in PA. Hand formed, perfectly cooked and huge! The basic burger is 10oz and they offer a double! That's 5 quarter pounders on a single bun. Amazing!

Big burger! Larger amount of fries! Fast, quick, friendly staff. Took a star because many tables were unbussed and dirty and the burger albeit being huge was cooked well and was a bit dry.
