It is a lot cheaper than Family dollar. You can buy the same items for a lot less, and in general they are pretty reasonable considering the economy right now. Plus, they have a weekly coupon, so that's a bonus. I was actually surprised to find they had a decent bit of options for things. Such as lactose-free milk (and not at twice the price like other such stores).For what it is, it is decent. I'd recommend it over other dollar stores.

The fact that it's not family. No I'm kidding, there's never been a Dollar general that I've gone to so far that an employee has treated me anything less than with respect , and at this particular one I walked in trying to find something on the maps so I wasn't able to find the drinks and one of the friendly associates give me directions totheir drinks and the place that I had been looking for for about 20 minutes with my mother and was very friendly and understanding. The best part was that she could sense that on me and I didn't even have to approach her. I don't remember her name but Misty was the clerk and she had been very friendly with the previous customer having made his kids laugh multiple times during check out, and she also put a big smile on my face.none too often do you have a full round positive experience in a place like I did that day so I have to say that.

It's a low price store and it's a good thing to have these around for a person who is on a tight budget. They also have most everything at a lower price than most stores around too. I like them. There is a huge niche filled by this particular chain store.

Love my DG family in Listie & in Stoystown. The Listie store & I have a great emotional bond. Last Thanksgiving I took a seizure in their store & Sandy was right on que with how to stay calm while helping me & getting help to come.

So much better than most dollar generals around the Somerset County area. A large variety and selection on items and the store is located at a convenient spot!
