I adopted a puppy from here about a year ago and I absolutely love them. They do such great work and care a lot about their animals. They’re very nice and knowledgeable as well, I was so pleased I returned to have him neutered with them and they took great care of him. I definitely recommend them to adopters. Eros, formally named Valentino as he was born on Valentine’s Day, has grown into an amazing dog who spoiled and living his best life ❤️

My mother filled out a very extensive application for a cat that no one will adopt because it requires special food and it doesnt like dogs. On the application it requires you to list all the pets in your home. She only has a cat so thats all she put down. After a week of waiting my mom called and was told they were still waiting on landlord authorization. She called a few days later and was told that the landlord already gave authorization and the actual reason she never heard back was because they saw a picture of a dog on her facebook. The dog has been deceased since 2016 and she told them that. Their response was they started on a different application. I called today to see what the status was and they want records that this dog died in 2016. Do not waste your time here and just go to the pound to adopt. Its cheaper, quicker and way less of a hassle.

They want to find homes for their animals but then treat potential adopters like garbage. They ignore people trying to adopt or make things more difficult then need be. And the whole situation with accusing someone of lying about owning a dog, when the dogs been deceased for YEARS, and then wanted to see the ashes as proof? That is ridiculous.

I adopted my sweet dog, Camo, from Precious Paws and am so grateful for the compassionate, dedicated staff. One thing that impressed me was that they don't just hand over the animals to anyone walking off the street. They understand that many of the animals in their care have unfairly been through abandonment, abuse, or neglect in their lives, and they do their best to ensure that they are placed in loving, appropriate homes where they will be able to thrive and find happiness.The love and care they give to the animals in their facility is so wonderful. My 20 year old cat recently needed to be put down. Dr. Waitz was wonderful with us. She examined Kitty, agreed it was her time, then explained in great detail and with exceptional empathy exactly what she was going to do and what to expect as she did. Kitty peacefully passed surrounded by myself and several caring workers from the veterinary clinic. It was a great comfort.

For all the negative reviewers, please note that they come from people who either didnt have good pet ownership histories, didn’t have a vet reference, or their applications were received after others. We do require people to submit an application before meeting the animals; this is because our insurance doesn’t allow people to just wander through the building and because we have a very small staff. We love our rescue pets and our adopters.

First I just want to say my family only rescues animals. Every animal wwe have are rescues, dogs ,cats ferrets, birds. We have the time and money to do so.. Now this place does not respond or call people back. They were rude as soon as I walked into their business and very unprofessional. I just wanna say it's sad enough to have animals go through what they go through but when a good home comes along they reject everyone. I've heard this from other good people as well. I feel sorry for these animals I really do.I forgot to mention they refused to show me the animals . So I can just imagine the neglect of these animals.

They're amazing people. It's really nice for the community and surrounding communities that we have a convenient way to keep our pets up-to-date on shots, get them spayed and/or neutered, or microchipped at a very decent price when a lot of us are struggling but we still love our pets and want to keep them healthy.

My rottweiler recently had puppies and they just started on puppy food, ran short on cash this check and was low on dog food. Called everywhere and nowhere could help. Finally found precious paws and they are they only ones that would help out with dog food. If it wasn't for them, not sure what I would of been able to do. I'd give a billion stars if I could. Also had adorable pups there.

I love this place! I traveled farther specifically to come here instead of going to my local shelter because I saw they had good reviews, and it's so true. The people are very friendly and accommodating. All the animals are super adorable! You can tell they are well taken care of and in great hands. I'm hoping to get a cat from here soon, adoption pending ❤️ I would definitely 100% recommend this place. They know all their animals so well and answer any questions you have about each pet.

I'm an animal lover and wanted to adopt as my last pet deceased and was very hard on our family. Our pet wasn't fixed and we weren't give a chance at all just told pets in home need fixed. Pet is deceased and cremated and not in the home living. Was very loved and cared for. Don't see alot adoptions as wasn't even returned calls after said needs fixed. Tried to contact again and no calls back. Just ignored :/ Prayers to all the animals that need adopted out.

The most wonderful & caring people I have ever met. The only place I will trust with my fur babies. Got my kitten fixed here, they not only did a fantastic job and treated her like their own, they called a few days later to check on her. I recommend them to anyone & everyone. ♥️♥️♥️

This is an amazing rescue, very caring and committed to their work. We have supported them in the past and will always help where we can. My only concern (and the reason for 4 stars) is that I think there is some room for improvement in the vetting process. We met our pup, and adopted him after a short meet (less than 30 minutes). He is loving, but much more energetic than we saw in the meet, and a bit too much for us. Perhaps a room where potential adopters could see the pups off leash and get a better feel for him. It's our fault as much as anyone's, but worth a mention

The staff at Precious Paws were very kind to me.. Diana and Teresa were professional, courteous and cared about helping me find a cat that was best for me. Dickens has come into my life and has filled my heart with joy; he is a very loving animal. Thank you ladies so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness. I know from personal experience working with Precious Paws (in the lab assisting with check ups and various surgeries) that the patient/animal/pet has their welfare as a #1 priority when they are being cared for and/or treated. The owner(s) of the dog whose surgery was cancelled, because of Parvo, should be ashamed of themselves. You guys did exactly the right thing by rescheduling the ELECTIVE surgeries as a prophylactic attempt to not unnecessarily spread Parvo to other healthy pets who were there for, once again, elective surgeries!!! Shame on all the people trying to cast a negative light over the good that Theresa Wiggins Weldon and everyone at Precious Paws are doing. I have seen so many animals, some of which would not have stood a chance elsewhere, get loved, cared for, and adopted out into wonderful homes. It makes me proud to be a part of something so great and beneficial to not only the animals, but also the community by providing an alternative to overpriced veterinary services and shelters where animals are put down if they don’t “fit the mold”. Keep up the good work and know that you are doing a fantastic job!

They would not trim my cat's nails for me, even though I would have been willing to pay a fee if they did that🤔😾. Otherwise, they were very kind and courteous. I like how they have their 'cat room's set up, especially with the window box for kitties to sit and watch people! 🐆🐈🐱🐈

I was suppost to adopt a puppie but the lady didnt tell us we needed to take our dog we have now to the vets yearly or we cant adopt the puppie then on the day we were suppost to adopt it theyhave anpther family already there to adopt the puppie an the lady is apparently good friends with the new family adopting it. So I dont recommend supporting precious paws in any way shape or form.

1st off they are terrible at communicating I inquired about adopting a dog they said it was still available I said I was going to put in an application for the dog as soon as I got home from work which I did they then didn't respond to me for days I contacted them again and said I didn't inquire first and they adopted the dog to someone else this rescue is far from professional I will not recommend this rescue to anyone and will never adopt from them
