We took our 13 yo dog here for a 2nd opinion on a torn ACL. The vet and nurse were truly outstanding. Our dog wasn't himself and we did not know he had 2 ear infections and also arthritis and some loose teeth. The vet also recommended a monthly shot for his arthritis/ACL. Fast forward 3 weeks and our boy is back to when he was younger. We didn't do surgery and he is running and playing wonderfully. They are very thorough, compassionate, and experts in their field.

We also appreciate they do not push for excessive treatment as some veterinary offices seem to do too often. They also run on time which is fabulous!

We rescued a 7 year old dog who was surrendered by his owners. He had been seen at another practice, and we were lucky enough to get his medical records. Within the first week he had some G.I. issues and we went to Fort Washington veterinary hospital. Because of their excellent care, we were able to determine that he had a congenital condition that had never been identified even though laboratory test suggested the problem since the time he was three years old. He is now getting the care he needs. We are indebted to our vet and this practice.

I am so pleased with the treatment of both my dogs here. Dr Andrea Orsher is a true asset to the practice. She takes the time to throughly evaluate your animal and lets you make decisions for your animal collectively. Very kind vet techs and office staff too. I’m glad this type of veterinarian care is available right here in Ft Washington!

My first time at Fort Washington Pa vet on Tuesday Nov 7 2017 and brought my baby Peanut in for a skin issue and Dr Lance Horwitz that is a specialist in Dermatology was fantastic in finding out what was going on and now being treated . Thank You for the great treatment Peanut this morning is feeling better this morning and the scabs and loss of hair look under control. Fantastic Doctor Horwitz!!!!!!! loved Him !!!! Been taking Peanut there for 3 years now and Dr Janet is wonderful to Peanut and is a wonderful person . Peanut loves her. Highly recommended.

Ft. Washington has been my veterinary practice for more than 30 years! I have always found the veterinarians to be highly educated and current on veterinary trends. Although they are a group of practitioners and support staff, I have always found each individual to be caring, compassionate and supportive. I have been to many veterinary practices in my life and I have never had confidence in a group as I have in this team. Love them!!!!

We wish Ft. Washington Animal Hospital were located in DE for easier travel, but traveling to Ft. Washington was our closest option for the purpose of cryo surgery for our 9-yr. old Yorkie, Charm. We couldn't be more pleased with every aspect from accommodating and efficient staff arranging appointments, receiving Charm in a caring manner and explaining in detail the procedure and care. Dr. Schultz is an excellent doctor along with her staff who assisted her. We are very pleased with Charm's successful treatments and thankful for the excellent doctors and staff at Ft. Washington Animal Hospital.

This is my regular vet. My Doberman is very anxious at the vet, but they make both him and me feel very comfortable. They don’t give him when things are a little challenging, but try every approach to get through the medical visit without scarring my dog. Because of that, he has improved so much when attending his annual visits.

Came recommended on FB page-made an apt week in advance to become new client. They call to confirm day before-get there for 11 am apt. Waited in their parking lot for 45 minutes-5 other cars/pets came and went. I call-no idea how much longer….complete disrespect for your time. Never even went in but sat in their parking lot wasting my time.

My 4yr old Havanese had his annual physical. He needs a dental cleaning. Dr. Theodore explained the procedure thoroughly. She also gave our dog shots and drew blood without him crying or wiggling. We have been going to the practice for over 23 years.

It’s taken me a while to even process the horror I went through in this hospital. Long story short, my dog died after a dental cleaning at this hospital. My family dog, who we’ve raised since she was a puppy and was now 12 years old, is now gone.I took my five dogs to this vet for a check up and dental cleaning. They all came up healthy after the check-up, so it was okay to proceed with a dental cleaning. After the procedure, my eldest dog was paralyzed from the waist down and in pain. She also had trouble breathing through her nose. When confronting the hospital about this, I was told that perhaps some sort of movement was too abrupt and could have injured her spine. I was also told they had missed that she was in no condition to be under anesthesia, because she had a nose obstruction prior to it and they had missed it in the preliminary scans.I cannot begin to express the pain my family has felt after this event, after countless nights of my dog’s seizures and having to make the decision to end her suffering. No one admitted their fault, no one took responsibility. She was one of the first to be attended here, and I have never brought my other dogs back.

Started taking my dog to Ft. Washington Vet 9 years ago and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. They go above and beyond and give my dog the best care possible! All the doctors are wonderful and very knowledgeable. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Always do their best to accommodate even through the challenge of the pandemic.
