Disappointing experience at the Giant store today. I wish there were zero stars. I visited to purchase beer and some groceries. At the beer and wine checkout, there were two cashiers, a woman, and a man. I observed the man scanning groceries for customers before me. However, when it was my turn, the woman abruptly told him, 'You can't do that!' This happened despite me having only six grocery items.The woman explained that they couldn't process groceries at the beer and wine checkout because the line was too long. I find this confusing since other grocery stores like ACME and Whole Foods routinely allow grocery items at their alcohol checkouts. Is there a specific policy at Giant that prevents this?The overall experience left me feeling discriminated against, especially when they eventually checked me out after some delay. I hope the store can address these issues to provide a more inclusive and customer-friendly environment. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I am hesitant to return to this Giant store.

I don't know what happened today (1/2/24), but there was scarce produce and meat in the store! Like, very very minimal. The deli counter was moving slow and the staff was not very pleasant. I love this Giant, so I'm hoping today is an isolated incident.

Strange good placement & difficult to find . Often. in 3 different placement way around the store Non- Std. Big bread Cos. Out of stock on rye. (3 placements scattered far apart. - cheese (block) too... etc.Different stores, very different whole set ups. NoToo often lack of frozen veggies.More cashier's. The 1s I've had were great.

Used to be my go to place for groceries. The last few times employee's seem annoyed with questions. Will rarely responded with little other than a head shake. I said thank you and good night three times without a response. Will look for another place to shop. good night 3 times without a response

The employee at self check out treated me like a known thief or something who was trying to steal. She focused all of her attention on me scanning my items, circling me and staring. But then chose to be friendly with the shopper at the register next to me. I am a person of color and the shopper next to me was white. If employees aren’t going to be trained to treat shoppers equally while also trying to watch out for theft then the store should get rid of self check out.

Less than appealing. Probably won't visit again. Gave 3 stars instead of 2 because they carry Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer and the Freshness of their veggies were awesome.

I called earlier in the day and asked if they had soup at the salad bar. I was told yes, but when I arrived there wasn't any! So annoying! The lines here are so long and the cashiers are slooow!! Ugh!

Besides the fact that prices just keep on going up, Giant is a pleasant place to shop. There is regular check out at week as self check out.

When busy there are longer lines. Deli is usually very busy...long waits at peak times, like 9 am to 7:30 pm on weekends.. overall though, they do keep their shelves stocked & full...but these days u never know. Wouldn't blame giant. Prices are ridiculous these days, Giant is no cheap place. Store is clean, and overall well organized

I was quite happy with the service that I got from the manager station with my return although I believe they could spend a little more time perfecting their online discount website. It's very hard to get on and to sign up to and confusing to navigate.

It's your basic grocery store, with a decent selection, it had a few hard to find items, but it took a while to check out.Pros - good selection of various groceries which is helpful depending on the dish, so I didn't have to order anything from online. The organic, gluten-free items are on 2 sections which makes it easy to shop for those items.Cons - not enough cashiers and the self checkout scanner is awful, every other item set off the need assistance flag. I was a former cashier and have used self checkout in several other stores and never had that many issues with one.Overall I will probably go back, but never if I'm in a rush.

I have visited this store a half dozen times. I can find organic, plant-based products, and low-sodium items. I have been very pleased and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Store has good selection and store brands are good quality and price. Last few visits, the hand scanner kiosk was not working. Asked clerk about it and was told the store was going to get rid of them. This is what set Giant above other brands. Now it is just another store. Go figure.

Clean store with friendly staff. The quality of the fresh produce are decent and the price is ok.In the recent years, there has been more instances of stuff being out of stock when I shop there. Probably due to covid and not entirely the store's fault. Overall still a fine place to shop at.

I love that this store has great produce selections including fresh organic options. They also have a good selection of items with healthier ingredients than many traditional brands, which I also love. The store is welcoming and clean and I usually have a very pleasant shopping experience. I would recommend that they get more help in the deli though. I've been there a couple of times when it took a long time to get anyone's attention to ask a question. Including one time when I was picking up catered food platters at a scheduled time. The other time I was ordering fresh cold cuts. It seemed like the staff were overwhelmed with the volume or didn't care much to offer great service. Another shopper that was there at the time was visibly very disappointed and decided to leave.

As I was leaving the store today at approximately 12:45pm the back wheel of my cart locked and as I was trying to push it out of the entryway an employee appears and asks me if I have a receipt. I replied yes. She then wanted to see it so I showed it to her and asked her what did it have to do with the cart. Her response was ‘ok…you’re good to go’. Again I asked her the same question and she holds up this hand held device and says ‘I locked the wheel on the cart’ with such an smirk on on her face. I said one more time…‘I don’t understand why you did that…did you think I was stealing $44.99 worth of groceries in two clearly marked Giant plastic bags. She never answered my question as to why she stopped me. I left the store and waited another 5/6 minutes to see if anyone else was stopped. No one was that I could determine. Clearly I felt that I was racially profiled. And you can bet your last dollar that I, any of my family members, or my friends will ever spend another penny in your store.

My car’s battery died while I was in the store. I asked a young man named Noam working behind the customer service counter to help me jump it. He didn’t think twice, asked for his managers approval, and was able to get me up and running & on my way within minutes. It was a selfless act and he didn’t think twice to lend a hand and help out. Not to mention it was raining outside. He deserves recognition for going above and beyond. Thank you Noam!Erik

I always have a good experience. My children went shopping with me, and they got their own cart, and they had their list, and it was good, and the store was great with them. I'm teaching my kids how to shop. My kids want something that think it should just be there. So they will learn.

After spending thousands of dollars over many years a Giant stores my wife, who is Black, was falsely accused of stealing at this store. She was followed around the store by a manager who called out to her. She turned and acknowledged him and asked, "Yes?". He said, "Wrong person." He continued to follow her and eventually said she was in the store earlier that day, she wasn't, and that she was stealing. She asked to see the alleged footage and then they couldn't produce it. The manager claimed the police would, "drag you out of here" So they both called the police.At no point did it dawn on this employee that an actual thief wouldn't be arguing with you about their innocence and waiting for the police to arrive. They'd be down the road already! Anyway they filed a police report and Giant banned my wife from the store. If she comes back it is considered trespassing.It's bad enough if that this happens at all but if I look up my receipts I bet we've spent tens of thousands of dollars at various Giants.We're done with this place. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you!

Recently heard a terrible story: A Black woman was accused of shoplifting from this store based on "video evidence" that the store then refused to produce. They called the cops and banned this woman from the store with no evidence. This story was shared by a trusted friend and I no longer feel comfortable shopping at this store as a member of a mixed-race family.

My Issue Is NOT With This Specific Store. I Actually Love Shopping In-Person At This Location. My Issue Is With Giant Direct Delivery Service. I've Had To Cancel My Order TWICE Due To Them Being INSANELY Late. After The Order Was Canceled, The Driver STILL Delivered The Items Around 12am (Because My Camera Recorded It), And Left The Groceries OUTSIDE ALL NIGHT. Honestly, I Give The Delivery Service ZERO Stars. You'd Be Better Off Ordering From Amazon Fresh Or Shopping In-Person.

Great Location! Always clean and always fully stocked. They have the best fruit because it really does last in the fridge. I have bought fruit from other markets and even in a new fridge, they don't last more than a few days. Meats are always fresh as well. Other than fruits, meats and veggies, you can get a variety of everything in between. They also have a nice section for organic/vegan items. When you're done shopping, you can pick from self checkout or one of the many lanes that are open. There also is a 'scan as you go service' as well. One other thing I really like is that they do employ many young adults and teens which is great because it gives them a start at being not only responsible but also independent. Forgot to mention they have a mini Starbucks inside as well. I like the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with whipped cream.

Good variety of choices in most departments. Fresh produce. Polite and friendly staff during this visit. Take your bags. Plastic bag don't make it to the car. I've got holes and broken handles. I'll be sure to ask for paper the next time.
