We had a Great dinner. The lasagna was probably the best I have eaten 👍. Great sauce and My wife's shrimp and pasta was also good. Service was Great, our waiter Blane was excellent, friendly and helpful. It's been awhile since we had our left overs packed up for us ✅. Even the bread pudding was great. Dining area was very nice, lots of wood and nicely decorated.

We chose the Stone House as the caterer for our wedding and boy am I glad we did. Christine and her team treated us like family from day one. Not only was the food DELICIOUS, the service was incredible. Christine is a fix it woman and will make sure your special day is everything it should be and more. We enjoyed the food so much that we had our rehearsal dinner at the Stone House as well. I cannot say enough good things about Christine and her team. They deserve way more than 5 stars!

Outside of the roads being very bumpy and weird to pull in, my girl and I enjoyed our stay. The only complaint we had were the carpet looked a little dirty, but the bathrooms were amazing and the jacuzzi was awesome. The Jacuzzi wouldn't want to turn off, but after like 20 min, it shuts off by its own. The number to call, ima assume was the housekeeper is always accessible and always willing to help.Nearby activities: There's a bowling alley down the street, if ur wanting to go explore the State parks and etc, only a 25 min drive. Food and great restaurants are about 15-20 min away, so not to bad.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Ft. Necessity. Very glad we did. Pecan Salmon salad was really good. Salmon was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing with just right touch of banana peppers on some good spring greens I enjoyed greatly. The bruschetta salad with chicken was also really good. Portions were generous and the wait staff was amazing. It was a little chilly and they started up one of the fireplaces for us in the dining room while we warmed up quickly with coffee. Hope to make it back here again.

This was my second time staying here, and I have nothing bad to say about the place. My meals were excellent, and I feel well priced. Service was exceptional, unfortunately I did not get the name of the housekeeper working during my stay. She was so polite and helpful, asked us several times if we needed anything in our room, and to call if we needed anything. I will be back again, and definitely recommend staying here!!Rooms: Rooms are quaint and comfortable. Everything is self check in/out, which is very convenient. The two times I was there they were very clean.Nearby activities: A lot to do around the area. You have Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, and Kentuck Knob. There is the Christian Klay Winery, Ohio Pyle state park, Fort Necessity and many other smaller attractionsFood & drinks: The prime rib special is phenomenal, it was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend.

Didn't stay at the hotel but ate in the restaurant. The food was amazing. I had the Sunday suicidal meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Simply delicious. Will definitely return.

We had the "Room and Dinner package." The Lincoln room was as expected in an old inn and quite adequate. The door had a coded lock and a code was needed for the outside door for access after the restaurant is closed. The dinner was amazing- Cajun shrimp appetizer, Prime rib and Osso Buco entrees, and Italian cream cake for desert, (see accompanying photos), and Jamie, our server was friendly and quite knowledgeable about local things to do.

I had the Alfredo fettuccine with chicken. I did not like the Alfredo saice at all. It had no taste. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs and said the sauce was bland and the meatballs were under seasoned. The gratuity of 20%was included on the check. Paid the waitress and she never did bring back our change. We will not be back.

INCONSISTENT - We went back to the Stonehouse Restaurant for the great atmosphere and because my wife had the best steak of her life there a couple of years ago on her birthday. This time my wife, sister, brother-in-law and I all got the New York strip steak based on that past experience. While 3 of us had a good experience, my wife’s steak was terrible; riddled with thick, tough strands of gristle. It appears that the chef cannot consistently discern a good cut of meat from a bad one. For the high price, I expect the chef to choose good cuts of meat for all patrons, not pawn off the bad ones as a percentage in larger groups

Great food at a great price. Service was very friendly and efficient. The food was very good and priced well. The old fashioned was one of the best I've tasted anywhere. Literally every item we ordered was delicious, I including the homemade dressings. The atmosphere was great especially.on the tavern side with the Steelers memorabilia.

We’ve been going to the Stonehouse for years and always had a fantastic experience and loved the steam and bbq. We went last weekend to find a complete new menu that’s stripped, along with an apparent new chef. For lack of better judgement we stayed, the pulled pork nachos were the only thing we had good. Meat ball hoagie was mediocre to say the least.

The Historic Stone House Restaurant is a hidden gem in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored 18th-century stone house and inn and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The historic setting of the restaurant is charming and unique. The menu was straightforward and the food was fresh and delicious. The service overall was very attentive and had a full knowledge of the menu.My steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were just the right amount of boozy. The peach cobbler cheesecake was rich, fruity and decadent.I would highly recommend dinner here, especially for a celebratory dinner or while traveling. It's a great place to indulge and enjoy some delicious food in a unique setting.Rooms: We stayed in the Sophia Gallatin room and loved it. Very quiet and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking.Nearby activities: It's located very close to Laurel Caverns and central to many Laurel Highlands attractions.

I found this gem several years ago by accident and had eaten here but I really wanted to sleep in one of these charming rooms. I'm SO happy I did! I slept so well and the room was so pretty. We also ate at the restaurant, I had a turkey wrap. Everything on it was super fresh, it was delicious! Also had a glass of Sangria that was fabulous. Prices were very fair, I will be back as often as I can get down that way. 🙂Rooms: We stayed in the Titlow room, it was so inviting and comfortable and just beautiful. Slept like a champ!

The service was good. The staff were friendly. However, our food was really overpriced for such low quality. It tasted like it was frozen and/or microwaved. The chicken was really dry. The pasta was from a box. The meat balls had a very odd taste. I expected much better quality for the price.

Long drive for dinner but if you are in the area, definitely recommend. Food was delicious, I had the chicken and dumplings which was very filling and tasted great. Service was a little slow though on the bar side tables. Old fashions came out in a little smoke chamber which was very cool. Men's bathroom only had stall which was the real issue.

This is for the restaurant only!We have checked in on a Saturday night at 7:00 pm and were asked to wait for a table. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, we were seated. As we reviewed the menu, we waited for the server to stop by. After the 15 minute mark, there were still no sign of a server. Then we called it a night and left.In the room we were in, there were only 3 tables were full out of 7 or 8.What a waste of time.

This review has nothing to do with the actual restaurant, we were served by a wonderful waiter who took good care of our meal.My issue is with the stay that we had there, it's a rustic no frills place located a reasonable distance to get to wherever you would like for the national parks surrounding the area, so location is great. However, during our stay it appeared to us that we were the only ones using the lodging accommodation, which in itself is not a problem but the the doors from the outside to the inner hallway where all the rooms are located do not lock and during our last night of stay we were heard someone trying to get into ours and other rooms in the hallway. A few minutes later we found that our vehicle was still the only one in the lot. This naturally concerned us, it was after hours of the restaurant and someone had just tried to access our room. We called the help line number they gave us and reported the issue and ultimately decided we were too wigged out for the night to stay so we drove home at that point. It's the next day now we haven't heard back from anyone who manages the hotel side of this business. Until they have a policy about keeping the exterior door locked I would not advise staying here. It did not feel secure and its not comforting to know that they don't take a concern such as this one seriously.

Cool place to stop along Highway 40. Neat old building with an interesting history. Nice variety draft beers on tap in the Tavern. Great (friendly) service. Only stopped for a short break from driving and wet the whistle but would definitely like to come back qns have a meal. The food we saw being served looked really good. Hopefully soon.

I was pretty shocked how over pirced the food was. The service wasn't the best either. Waitress was cold to us. Like she didn't seem to care we were there.

The State liquor Control board system in PA need to come up to the stone house to check on the pouring of liquor. I ordered a shot of liquor, expected to get a 1.5 shot hmm. .5 shot and charged full price ! as a bartender myself I challenged the bartender on her pour! she changed her tune when I caught her cheating the customer out of the charge of pour! the lcb needs to check on this ! I don't think Zeigler wants this kind of hassle...right Freddie!!

For a busy Saturday night we were surprised we were seated right away. Our waitress, Kimberly, was phenomenal. Dinner was very good and came to the table quickly. The food was delicious. In fact, we were so pleased that we went back the next day for lunch. As luck would have it, Kimberly was our waitress again. She even remembered our drink preference. Next time we are out that way we will be stopping for sure!
