What a gem! Our family had a fantastic getaway for Spring Break with school out this past March. Our kids, ages 2 and 5, had an absolute blast -- They loved the heated pool, seeing the animals, the pancakes! The grown ups felt pampered to the max. The rooms, the service, the activities were all fantastic. We stayed at the newly reimagined (renovated) Lodge. The suite was spacious and luxurious. We found the resort very approachable and family-friendly (lots of young families when we visited) and the personnel, top notch. We couldn't have been happier with our visit and are already planning our next visit -- we heard Christmas time was especially magical.Would recommend giving the team a call in advance to check which activities are available as not all may be open from their website. The reservation agents were so very helpful, answering questions and helping us plan our itinerary, even before our trip began. Also of note, the resort is huge and the buildings/activities are more spread out than I had initially expected from the map. There's a complimentary shuttle that can take you from location to location -- we weren't up for the trek with our young kids (the wait was never more than 5 minutes).A great place to indulge and enjoy an excellent getaway for the whole family!

Nemacolin is an experience that's hard to summarize in just a few words, but I'll do my best to capture its essence. This place is not just a hotel; it's a massive playground for adults and kids alike, set on a massive estate in Pennsylvania. It's the most adventure and fun I've had in one place in a long time. The property is vast, with activities ranging from two golf courses, bowling, axe throwing, off-road driving experiences, spa treatments, and art classes. Another personal favourite of mine is the animals on property. The property has animals to pet as well as some more larger and majestic selections like lions and tigers. My townhome was right across the big cats and wolves, a bedroom window even faced the enclosures! The accommodations themselves are diverse and make me personally want to come back just to try all of them. The attention to design in each room, the quality of the finishes, and the views make every stay here comfortable and exciting, exactly like how a hotel stay of this caliber should feel. The service was good and all workers we encountered were warm and demonstrated exceptional hospitality. There were also large and comfortable free shuttles to take you everywhere in the resort. Dining was delicious and varied; the restaurants on a side note were all absolutely beautiful.Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, Nemacolin is it. I fear to give it this review out of my own selfishness to keep this place a secret.

Nemacolin has held a special place in my heart since 1998 when my boyfriend-now-husband invited me to join his family there. Now we take our own kids there! This was a solo spa trip for me, and I got to stay in the newly renovated Lodge. The room was SPECTACULAR! Food and drinks at the bar were yummy, and there was live music. Can’t wait to return!

OVERPRICED & Tacky. I used to come here for dinner until they closed the doors to non staying guest. Who wants to pay 1500 a night to stay in Fayatte County. The Nepo/spoiled rich so runs the place now and it shows. It's average at best. Go to omni instead. And be-aware of fake reviews the they bought to increase the rating.

Stay away from the townhomes. The experience was shockingly terrible. They are worn out and poorly maintained. It seems the management has given up on them. We have stayed in the homes a few times before and always had minor issues but this time problems were so overwhelming that we decided to check out after only one night. Here is what $600 a night got us: missing utensils, wine glasses, spatulas and dining chair (!) in the kitchen. Peeling wallpaper. Stained carpets. Flickering lights seemingly due to faulty dimmer installation. Running and leaking toilet in the master bedroom… I could go on, but you get the picture. To be fair, the chair and wine glasses were delivered shortly after we reported them, but by the time we discovered the toilet issue we were done.We ended up canceling our spa and dinner reservations and heading out the next day despite it being a birthday celebration trip.We stayed in 833.

I cannot put into words how absolutely FABULOUS Nemacolin is. From day one, the staff has been more than attentive to our needs, wants, and desires. Yes, desires! I met a great bartender by the name of Eddie. His Old Fashioned whiskey drink is very good. I was at dinner and I wanted a drink made by Eddie. He made the drink, and the staff brought it to me at my table while at dinner. My wife and I were on the opposite side of the property. Yet they still accommodated us.

Nemacolin is a singular experience, with a range of accommodations all with high standards of excellence and stunning locations. The rooms in Falling Rock are breathtaking, and the butler service and world class dining take the stay to new levels of pampering and indulgence. The whirlpool bath and full rain shower were a nice touch and the panoramic balcony views of the rolling hills and lawns are jaw dropping, especially at first light.Shuttle service around the property is free, although everything is somewhat connected in a loop for the intrepid who want to explore on foot, we did once on a chilly but sunny day and it was a brisk but beautiful walk from the Peak (restaurant and activity center) back to the hotel. Speaking of the Peak, the food was delicious, there was plenty for us all to eat including vegetarian, gluten-free and kid-friendly, and the prices were more than fair. Especially considering the year round heated pool and lazy river, with firepits and a huge screen TV. Not to mention the outdoor ropes course, climbing wall, and lots more for the adventurous! I think families, corporate groups and team building groups, and especially golf fans would really find a special home here.We also stayed in the townhomes, a very different but equally magical experience, with a high level of excitement being near the wildlife sanctuary and able to hear and see lions, tigers, wolves, bison, yaks?, cows and goats. It's especially incredible to hear the wolves howling as the lions roar at sunset. The views of the lake and rolling Allegheny foothills from the back deck are simply stunning, and the kids loved the shared back yard with playhouses they were on every afternoon. The first night we ordered room service from the hotel and it was simple to do but the food was excellent and the kitchen catered to our dietary preferences and needs. Housekeeping was wonderful, the staff was super friendly and they did a great job. We had zero complaints at either location, in fact we would, and will, and do recommend that anyone stay at Nemacolin if they get the opportunity. We will keep our memories here for a lifetime!

**edit- shortly after posting this review on their Facebook page I was blocked. My original post is a copy paste of that review. Seems the only thing they care very much about is their online presence so they can get your money and run.I booked my honeymoon at nemacolin. less than 24 hours before my check in they canceled my reservations and my only option was to book and suite/ home for $3,000 more for our 5 day stay. they didn't offer to comp us or re-book our stay with them. since booking I've been seeing advertisements on Facebook for them and yesterday decided I would leave a comment talking about this experience to see if they would make it right someway or another. they responded to the comments quickly and asked for me to DM them my email to resolve the issue. this brings us to today, where I have not received any response from them and the ad popped into my feed again. then I see they deleted my comment and their response from the post. this company is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend to anyone.

My husband and I drive to Nemacolin Resort each year around Christmas to see their lights and walk around in the lodge to enjoy their beautiful decorations. This year when we drove the hour to get there, we were stopped at the security booth and told that only guests staying at the hotel were allowed to be on the grounds. What a disappointment and a smack in the face. Nemacolin is very expensive to stay and someone such as myself cannot afford to stay overnight in one of their lavish rooms. On the night we were going to visit, the rooms were $1,200 for that Saturday evening. Apparently Nemacolin doesn't want poor people walking around and enjoying the lights and decorations. I am so very disappointed in the way we are made to feel like we aren't good enough to be there on the property. Shame on you Nemacolin for being biased.

For a city girl, this was a wonderful stretch! Location wise. I find it very, very far from civilization, which may be just what you are looking for? This is my second visit. There are at least two hotel-spa-resort options. The first stay was at the Chateau. Very old world and comfy. This time, we had a mother/daughter spa weekend at Falling Rock. A cheeky homage to Fallingwater, mostly because of its mountainous landscape and Mission era decor, which as decor aficionados we found grand, yet inconsistent. Take the giant heart w/ snowflakes that met us at the door during January. Okaaaaaay. And some of the art was oddly placed or maximalist for no reason. I do however applaud the mixed media pieces in rhe bedrooms. (All art is for sale) Still the charm of the place and the top drawer service made it worth the winter wonderland drive. Spa services? Nice! Food—good enough. Turndown service—Excellent. Free night time cookies, shoe shines, clothing steamed, bath (milk w/ rose petals) and pillow options and let’s not forget the butler. Ask for a toothbrush even if you don’t need one. It’s free and comes in a gift box. Chocolate truffles and refrigerated beverages are also complimentary. Ahhhhh. You will be treated like a princess if not a queen. Just remember though, if you are a Starbucks junkie it’s a long, long way to get there.
