It's a great place to stop and grab something you need for your home fast. It's also a nice place to browse through and see their sales. Sometimes higher priced probably because of the convenience.

Great to have a shop like this in the neighborhood. Convenient and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Prices a tad higher than larger similar stores but the convenience and gas-saving trips are a definite plus.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store on 3/9 at approximately 2:45pm. I entered the store and was one of 2 customers. The cashier and 2 store employees were at the front of the store. No one greeted me or offered assistance. I wandered around and searched for the item I wanted without success. Finally, I asked if anyone could help me. The cashier pointed to an aisle and said, "halfway down". I still couldn't locate the item and eventually another female employee saw me and came over. I never have experienced this unwillingness to help at the East 38th Erie location. No one was helpful or friendly. I won't be returning to this store.

I only shop here for convenience. You pay a much higher price for the neighborhood convenience than the large Home Improvement stores. Their selection isn't great and most of the time they don't have those hard to find items. I would probably shop here more often if their prices were more reasonable.

Ams always mark treats his costumers like there family all the people who help you are awesome but Mark goes above and beyond had a prob. With new gas heater in the connection he didn't Get excited just to make me happy opened a new one and replaced it.

Valu Home Center staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. All Valu Home Centers have a substantial supply of goods for whatever your diy project is. I especially like the 12th and Pittsburgh store because it's especially large, well-stacked, brightly lit, and fun to explore. I have consulted with staff on everything from wood furniture restoration to window insulation to light bulbs. Mostly, I like the acrylic wall paints and specialty paints offered by Valu Home Center. Best of all are their seasonal deals such as fall leaf rakes, summer outdoor furniture, and holiday decorations. Thanks to Valu Home Center for all their help through the years!

Friendly staff. Limited selection if your are looking for something specific.Lack of selection for plumbing slip joint nuts. I got what I needed but made from lower grade plastic. They had the space to stock different type but it is not their business model.This is not a Lowe's or Home Depot and is not meant to be.

Great alternative to huge stores like Lowes and Home Depot. Obviously they don't have 20 types of every product but because of that you can get in and out with your purchase in less time than it takes to find the right department in one of the huge home improvement stores. There are always employees waiting to help too.

Let's face it. This place is NOT Lowe's or Home Depot. But...they do have most everything you'd NEED for basic hardware necessities along with some of the friendliest folks that are always ready to help you.

Nice little home improvement store, with a wide variety of products. Everything from small power tools and hand tools, to plumbing, electrical, outdoor products, and paint. Along with many interior items as well. The only downside is some of the prices are a little high, but the convenience factor cancels that out.

This is a great local place to pick up any hardware supplies you might need in a pinch. This store specifically does not carry some larger or more specialty items but the store at 12th and Pittsburgh does carry what this store doesnt have. They can be a little pushy about their rewards program but it is possible to purchase goods without being forced to sign up
