My son and I love chocolate! And we love trying chocolate from different places, so when we were in Erie PA it was no surprise we ended up at Romolo. The day we went the place was packed, although the line moved along quickly. My daughter got a rose green tea and tiramisu which she said was delish. My son and I picked up a mix of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, PB cups, gummy bears and dark chocolate pistachio bars. We’ve tried a bit of everything at this point and can say without a doubt everything fantastic!!! 🍫🍫🍫 It’s probably a good thing we don’t live closer to Romolo, or we’d be there all the time!! The staff was super friendly and very helpful, didn’t feel rushed at all despite how busy they were. The atmosphere was very quaint and really well done, could see spending a little time hanging out on the cafe side. If you like chocolate, or love it, and will be in Erie you must stop by and give it a try!!!

Romolo is a rather unique place of the chocolate factory of the same name.  Here you can find a store of own products, a souvenir shop and a coffee shop.  The coffee shop has a great location.  You can sit inside or on the cozy outdoor patio.Friendly staff, delicious pastries, delicious ice cream.  In my opinion, if the dine in order was served in glass instead of disposable dishes, it would make the cafe more cozy and atmospheric

We drove by this place a few times over the weekend, so we figured we had to stop by. It is a little pricey but good quality chocolate. We tried the famous sponge candy and bought some treats to go. We got ice cream next door which was delicious. I tried the pumpkin praline crunch.

Wheelchair accesible ( to the right of entry ) manual doors , clean well stocked great selection , no pandemic precautions . No Wi-Fi detected . The aroma in there is to die for ( my CGM read tilt , just kidding they do have sugar free treats for us diabetic needle drivers ) all manner and versions of dark,white,milk chocolate ,slabs ,slices ,covered ,wrapped, Bon bons ,truffles and fudge , to eat your way out would be exquisite torture but could be a prequel to “my 600 lbs life “ there is an outdoor seating area both in sun and shade depending on your preference . We are truly blessed to have such incredible local chocolate.

Enjoyed this place so much! Visited the bakery first and ordered the Raspberry Hot Chocolate. Then we browsed the gift shop before heading into the Chocolate Shop. This place did not disappoint! We left with an assortment of packaged chocolates, sponge candy truffles, different chocolate barks, and licorice beans! Katy was very sweet and did an amazing job assisting us. Even though she said she'd just started her job, you would never know! The entire staff was friendly and provided quick service to their guests. Also very clean. Would 10/10 recommend

While in town, stopped in to buy a couple of hot chocolates. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. First time trying, and would get again and again. On top of that, Sallie waited on us - and what a gem she is for their company. Cannot compliment her enough with her outstanding customer service skills. Was friendly and helpful in her recommendations, and you could tell she really enjoyed her job and working with the general public. You need many more employees like Sallie! She needs kudos by management. So thank you Sallie for a nice visit and great hot chocolates. (PS. add peppermint to the hot chocolate - you will not regret it)!

Possibly my new favorite for ice cream! Interesting flavors give your taste buds a new adventure. Waffle cones & bowls are well constructed and delicious. Staff is friendly and very helpful!

Amazing place with tons of odd items. We sampled and took home their sponge candy truffles and chocolate covered grapes. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They offer free ice packs for your chocolates if needed. There is 3 different buildings here so don't miss their ice cream shop!

The coffee and chocolate were fantastic. The service was awesome. While I would say the coffee was a plus, and the chocolate was some of the best chocolate I have ever had (not the generic stuff made in a different part of the state) it was the friendliness of the staff that put this place over for me.

$ - $$, But well worth it. Yes, they do have Chocolate's: Milk, White, Dark, and even Sugar Free, too. They're Famous Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Grapes. They also have their Gift Card Shop, which has Stuffed Animal's, and Paintings. Also, their Famous Chocolate Cafe' w/Homemade Ice Cream and Lounge Seating. What's not to love!!?? Even Outdoor Seating?? Yes, they have it. Enjoy yourselves!!!

Best chocolate company in the country! Not only is the chocolate good, but the cookies are to die for. When I'm asked about the signature cocoa I describe it as 'liquid love'. Truly should not be missed.Dietary restrictions: Absolutely NOT for diabetics!Parking: Easy in, easy out.

Just had to stop here during my trip in Erie, and I don’t regret it. The chocolate shop makes you feel like a kid again. The staff was so incredibly nice and inviting. And, of course, the chocolate is amazing. The sponge candy lives up to the hype, and the peanut butter cups were out of this world; but I also recommend getting their ultimate assortment to try a bit of everything.

We went for a family members Birthday Party and I have to say that I had no idea they were hiding this gem of a party room. I have been to the store and it's a landmark in town, but there is a building in the back of the building on the side that is used for parties, and it's amazing. It's like walking into Candyland or Willy Wonka's House. If you have kids that want an birthday party that their friends will be talking about, book it here! Also the chocolate is amazing and freshly made on site.

I absolutely wanted to camp out in this store. :D I had been to Stefanelli's before, but heard this was the original. Naturally, I was there for the sponge candy! Yum! You won't regret buying it. I liked their Chocolate Cafe as well for a great espresso. ❤ Staff seemed friendly. Not much interaction, but they were efficient.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to visit in Erie! Beautiful store with a coffee & ice cream shop, gift shop and a chocolate shop. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The ice cream is cold, creamy and very tasty. The cappuccino was strong and had a great coffee flavor. But the chocolates... Incredible! I'm glad I don't live close, because I'd never stop eating their sponge candy - sweet, crispy, light and literally melts in your mouth. My current favorites are the 2nd Day Brownies - I could eat the whole pan!I highly recommend Romolo's - They truly are dedicated to their craft and their customers.

We go here a lot but this time bought the famous sponge, chocolate covered strawberries, and a sponge milkshake. I also bought one peanut butter cookie and one frosted sugar cookie. Omg the peanut butter one is delicious, so soft. The frosted one was great too but the peanut butter is my favorite.
