I took my cockapoo puppy to Play Care at Paws 'n Claws after she passed the Temperament test (required). She had a great time playing with the other dogs. It was a great opportunity for her to socialize. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The store has a variety of items for your dog. I felt the price was reasonable for a half day of fun and I had a chance to do some yard work.

I have boarded my dog at Paws and Claws on West 26th Street more than once and it’s always been a great experience. I’m sure if my little guy would talk he would tell me the same thing. It’s a tough decision leaving your fur baby behind when you travel but Paws and Claws makes it a little easier.

Love this place! We were told by Glenwood that Nova would have to be SEDATED to get her nails done. We went here and they accepted her with open arms.

My husband gets a call on a Saturday from this place about our dogs appointment. They want to know if we can bring our dog in on Monday instead of our appointment on “Friday”. Husband says, I just had heart surgery, I am not driving, you will have to speak to my wife who is working this weekend. She will call you Monday. I call Monday around 10am and a man answers and says it is too late the appointment was for 9am. I said ok and by the way, when is his scheduled appointment? (my husband schedules them and he could not remember at the time). He said Friday at 11am. I said ok.Friday comes and I make arrangements for my daughter to pick up the dog and take him across town to them to be groomed. They say he does not have an appointment, that it is the following Friday. She leaves. She calls me and tells me this. I call the Erie office and question why the guy told me Friday. A so-called manager defends the guy and proceeds to tell me that he did not specify which Friday, and that I should know when my appointments are(basically). Extremely unprofessional, and very rude. I say to her, so you mean to tell me you are not going to acknowledge the fact that he gave me the wrong day (one), and (two) you can’t even apologize or acknowledge our inconvenience maybe providing a discount next appointment. She continued to be defensive. So I say ok bye.TODAY, I get a voicemail from a PATTY, one of the “OWNERS” from a girard number, that they are CANCELLING tomorrows “SCHEDULED” appointment that I “SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT” because our dog is DESTRUCTIVE during grooming and that she found out about last weeks conversation about the appointment and we need to find another groomer!!!!!!!! This PATTY also called my husband and did get him on the phone and said the same thing. My husband said to this lying “owner”, “Destructive?? not once has ANYONE called us and said our dog was destructive. Do you have written proof?!?”PATTY said she was told about it, proceeded to take some nonsense, said goodbye and hung up!!After my voicemail, I called PATTY and I asked since when did you decide he was destructive, (one) this is the first I am hearing about it and (two) exactly what way is he destructive? PATTY said.. he throws towels around, rips them up and he has ruined all of our crates and we have to install new ones. PATTY was talking over me while I was responding with “REALLY!!?!” and then this OWNER HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and no one answered.This PATTY is a liar. I have saved her voicemail and will be attaching it everywhere I can. Patty is a terrible liar.

Really impressed to have found an all inclusive pet facility that catered to my malshi who is fearful of everyone meant the world to me. Finding a groomer with the patience & skill to get Cooper looking so handsome without using sedation is a Godsend. Definitely returning with his big sister/shih tzu😊 Thank you Paws ‘n Claws!

I loved this place. It was my first time getting my dog groomed here, so I didn’t know what to expect, but my dog came out looking so great, and he seemed so happy that he didn’t even want to leave the girl that brought him out 😊. I will definitely be back.

My dog loves this place, they do a great job of helping socialize dogs! We send him to daycare whenever we don’t have enough time to exercise him and we board here regularly. They always make sure to take great care of him, we are never worried leaving him in his doggie condo. They’ve been excellent about accommodating his need for a litter box when he stays overnight as well. We have also had him groomed here and very pleased with the results. Great place and great people! We especially love Nikki!

Our cat was well cared for the 4 days he was at the Paws & Claws on West 26th Street.I called after the 1st day and was reassured that he was doing well. "He ate & pooped and was getting cuddles from the staff"We were very pleased and would use them again.

Had an appointment yesterday for our dog. I was told about 2 hours, they would call. After 2.5 hours I headed there assuming he would be done. I was told he would be another 2 hours as they had a lot of “walk ins”. So walk ins have priority over scheduled appointments? Never have I heard of this??Bad customer service. I won’t be going back

They cost twice as much as this other place that I go to to get my cats nails trimmed. They do a good job trimming his nails but like I said it cost double here. Also this last Sunday I called ahead and asked if I could bring my car in to get his nails trimmed and she said yes but then when I got there she told me that there’s no groomers in there on Sundays. I was confused at first but then the lady came out and said oh are you the one that called yes I should’ve reminded you that we don’t have groomers on Sunday. Since I’ve only been to this place twice I did not know that there was no groomer there on Sundays. So beware of driving all the way out there hauling your cat in a box for nothing like I did. Other than those things I think that the place seems pretty good. They do good work I can say that much.

My first time getting my dog groomed here was great! He seemed happy when we picked him up and he looked so cute! They did a great job grooming him. Also the customer service was really great. I love the shop and was able to get my dog a treat and toy after he got groomed. I will absolutely continue coming here! :)

My family is so grateful for this place! Besides the grooming and nail trimming services we also utilize Playcare. We have a high energy dog n due to our disabilities we cannot walk or play with her like she needs. This place helps us give hera quality life.Staff is always friendly n takes the time to remember you and ur pup.Highly recommend this place!!!

I can't recommend Paws n Claws enough for any of your pets needs! Their entire team is caring, compassionate, and wants what is best for your dog. We've been taking our rescue Hound mix - Dot - there since she was a puppy, and would not trust her with anyone else.

This is a great place do take your pup for grooming services. Tyke always comes out looking fresh and happy. Prices are very reasonable, although I haven’t done any due diligence. They have a host of services, including a grooming school. My only complaint is, based off their indeed postings, they pay their employees barely above minimum wage. Given how busy the place seems to be, it makes one wonder why they don’t pay their employees a living wage.

If I could get this place to zero and get my point across I would’ve so not happy with them you asked for some thing and then you ask them not to do something and they do it anyways and it’s the opposite of what you want! The groomers listened to nothing I said. I took a shaggy haired puppy in and specifically said I DO NOT WANT A POODLE CUT!!! Did not listen!!!DO NOT USE THEM if you want something specific. The groomers name is CARRYN pronounced Corrine!!This will be posted everyday until my dogs hair grows back!!PS the public pays your wages it’s called customer service and giving the customer what they want maybe they should listen.

This was my first time and P&C Erie. Took my 2 year old giant schnauzer mix to get groomed. He came out looking like a totally different dog but in the best way possible. He generally has a very wiry coat and dry skin. He saw Sam and she did the most amazing job on my pup. He seemed legitimately happy and his coat is the softest it has ever been. I didn’t know he could look more handsome. So happy to have found a great groomer and business here. Baxter and I look forward to seeing Sam again and being a continued customer of Paws n Claws!

I’ve been taking my dog maya here for years and now she’s 15 years old. I made a last minute appointment to get her face trimmed, nails trimmed and a sanitary shave and my mom had to take her due to my work schedule. When they brought her out to my mom she looked like nothing had been trimmed and she was wet because she’s old and peed in the cage and the groomer didn’t even wash her. They tried to charge my mom full price ($50) for a barely trimmed face and my poor dog covered in pee. Luckily she said another lady behind the counter refunded $20 and made sure she got washed and trimmed up a little more around her face. After all of that they basically told her to find somewhere else to take maya that they couldn’t do it anymore. The highest reviewed place in Erie should know how to groom elderly dogs especially one that is 3 pounds with no teeth left, and they should definitely not make you pay $50 when trying to hand you your dog back covered in pee.

I absolutely love everything about this place. Everyone who works here from Sean the manager, to the play care attendants, and the amazing groomers are fantastic people. They take care of my Sadie as if she was family. Sarah did a great job cutting her nails. They have amazing brands of dog food, adorable outfits, and a great variety of toys. It's definitely the best place to go if you love your fur baby. I've even booked a weekend for Sadie to stay in her own condo! I'm sure they'll pamper her while we're gone. Thanks so much, you guys rock!

I got my Newfoundland groomed here yesterday by Kaitlyn (not sure of the spelling) and she was fantastic. I paid $60 for a basic bath and whatever else came with it which is the cheapest around Erie by far. Another place estimated $120 since she is such a large breed. The workers told me how well my dog behaved, which I wasn't surprised because she loves baths. I dropped my dog off early for our appointment smelly and shaggy and when I picked her up she looked like she lost 10 pounds of hair. She was bathed and brushed with a cute little bandana. She did not get any hair trimmed while there, or have any knots in her hair to begin with. She is also small for her breed at 85 pounds which may have contributed to her low price. Her fur feels incredibly soft and she smells amazing. They also called the vet for me to make sure she was up to date on her vaccinations so that I didn't have to find the paperwork myself!

I have been in her 3 times to try and get my 7 month old puppy nails cut I have been turned away every time for some poor excuse.. it takes 2 mins to do a puppy nail cut the fact that they can't make time after the third time in there is ridiculous. It does advertise walk ins welcome. Mad isn't even the word

I come here to groom my cat, and they do a good job. It can be difficult scheduling as groomers only have certain days and hours they work, but the staff is friendly and helps schedule around your time and ask any questions you want. No guarantee time when they'll finish with your animal, but that's to be expected. Offer a lot of other services but their grooming is great.

My dog is social. We used play care and boarding at Paws and Claws in Erie. I was told my dog needs re-evaluated because he barks to much. He was fine with other dogs, staff, and overnight. But because he is social he started barking when staff opened up as he wanted out. This is why he needs re-evaluated. So think twice before using Paws and Claws. Especially if your dog barks a lot

First time customer and was in and out for a nail trim in 15 minutes. The staff was so friendly and personable. The groomer even gave my dog a bandana that matched her collar, she was so sweet. Will definitely be returning.

I have used their services twice. I wasn't happy the first time, but thought I would ask for a different groomer. Well that didn't help. The Groomer took more then 4 hours. My small Bolonka dog looked good when I picked him up. But when I got home and got a closer look. His front claws were not done. His face is uneven cut and neck, belly, butt and armpits were not trimmed. I will not be returning to this location again.

Took my two dogs here to get groomed for the first time today. Everybody was very nice, and both our dogs came home happy and looking great! My only complaint is I paid extra for our little girl dog's nails to be done and it wasn't a super good job. Some of the nails just had the tiniest little dot of pink on them. So I wouldn't recommend the doggy mani, pedi, but otherwise I really like it there. I felt very comfortable leaving my babies with them for the morning to get pretty!
