Wow great place .Very freindly .Very clean.Great selection of beer.Great food .Clean outside cleaninside.Was very good price ,I fact maybe I was under charged on accident .I had 12 -14 inch pizza and 3 really good beers.

My burger was outstanding! I never would have thought to put apple slices on a burger, but it works well with the maple BBQ sauce. Fries were crispy. I did not enjoy my seasonal cocktail as there was an odd bitter aftertaste. The concept sounded good though. Nice, clean space with attentive servers and a free parking lot in a mini plaza on upper Peach Street. My mom thought the poutine burger was just okay but I would go back to try that next time. It would be even better if they offered turkey burgers as an option.

John Russell Brewing is a newer and welcomed addition to Erie, PA. More than just a great selection of brews, they offer more, with some tasty menu items. Service was great and would recommend stopping in and trying them out!P.S. They do offer samples so you can try before you commit to a draft beer you aren't sure you'd like.

This was our second visit. It is a must stop when we head to see family in PA. The brews are tasty and so are the mules. Service is fast and friendly. And the food is always great! Loved the pretzel with mustard and cheese. I opt for pizza and am never disappointed. Usually have some sports on the TV. Quiet in the summer months and busier in the fall. Go see them! You'll be glad you did! Way better than visiting just a chain.

The food was good. I was in town for business and found this brewery. It is a place where I will frequent, when I come to town. Jenn, the bartender is one of the best in the business. Do not pass up an opportunity to drink or eat here. I recommend sitting at the bar. The beer was ok for me, but I can be a snob at times. Do not pass up an opportunity to visit here

One of the only non-chain establishments on Peach and the only brewery. Excellent beer selection, both in house and guest brews. Multiple different styles are represented. Also, a great food menu with lots to choose from. I had the Jamaican Jerk Flatbread and it was delicious. It is nice to see a real place to eat and get a quality beer among all the chains.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.Kid-friendliness: My 5 year old loved the quesadilla and 8 year old had the pizza. Both on the kid's menu.

Upon arrival was greeted and promptly seated. Server was fast and courteous taking our drink and food orders. Then we wait.. and wait. 45 mins for our food. Mind you there was only maybe 6 other customers in what’s usually a pretty busy place. Food arrives and fries instantly appear old and stale. They looked felt and taste like they’re a day old microwaved. Soggy. My potine burger was a salty soggy with gross under cooked fires but a little warm. Wouldn’t recommend. The tacos had to go back because they were soo cold and stale looking. Staff was gracious in taking the tacos back to make “new ones”. As you can see in the picture my finger mark is still in the sauce when they brought it back from the microwave. Not new tacos. Also the fries on the burger were not fried or cooked they were white playdoe consistency. Definitely cooked a different way. Staff was nice a apologetic. Also seen multiple staff walk by garbage/food on the floor and no pick it up. While they’re dead. Manager comped the tacos. Went to use the bathroom before i left and there’s debris all over the floor. It’s a shame they put so much money into a previous awesome place to let bad management effect it’s repercussion. Rip another good place

Burger & fries were dismal - no flavor, overcooked, sad. A complete opposite were the wings! WOW! A smoked dry rub...DELICIOUS! Flight of 6 - 4 from John Russell - IPA (good), Black Lager (good), Oktoberfest (flat, watery), & Berry Weissbier then 2 from visiting taps, a Pumpkin Stout & Dancing Gnome Spy Dolphin (favorite - juicy, hazy, citrus, smooth, I'd definitely do a takeaway).

Good rebranding of this location. The menu isn't much different, but there are beers being brewed onsite, as well beers to go and other guest taps.Flights are available - 6 beers to a flight.It looked crowded, but there is a decent amount of seating between the first and second floor. Service was relatively fast, and the staff was very friendly. A manager was working the crowd to check on things as well, which is always nice to see.Food choices are the typical bar choices; wood fired pizzas, flatbread, BBQ wings, etc. My nachos were pretty good and my friend really liked his flatbread.Pricing was reasonable as well. That, coupled with everything above, will have me returning, I'm sure.

They specialize in pizzas and also brew beer as well.The buffalo chicken pizza on bolle style bread is pretty decent. Note: the center of the bread came out slightly doughy. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this almost made it better. But I like raw cookie dough... so for what it's worth.Dietary restrictions: They offer a cauliflower pizza dough option.Parking: You can park your car and go in. Hooray.

As always at any location, great beer and fantastic food. Kitchen was a little behind so there was a wait. No problem. Sat at the bar for a minute and had a drink then got a table by the bar. Kitchen staff got through it great. Manager up front was rocking and rolling the show. Bartender/server was great.

Service was great! But we ordered the pulled pork tacos and my son ordered the pulled pork sandwich we love pulled pork but this not so much very fatty pork and not really that great tasting. Also he got the smoked wings very salty and a little slimy inside he didn’t care for them either. We might come back and try something else only because the service and the Great atmosphere.

Just finished having dinner at your John Russell establishment. Have one word for you "amazing".From my first email to ask questions about gluten options to a conversation with Anna to make reservations for 10 of us 6 adults and 4 children..On arrival we were escorted to our table upstairs and Adam was prompt to serve us. He is an amazing ambassador for your restaurant from explaining dishes to suggestions on beer selections.As for the food and drink words cannot tell you how good and tasty it was.Next time we visit Erie will definitely stop and enjoy the food and drink.

I came here with two family members on a Friday evening while staying nearby. Our waitress was rude and acted like we were the biggest inconvenience ever. The food was disgusting which is a shame considering how expensive it was. We ordered the Asiago spinach dip which was essentially a bowl of oil and the pulled pork nachos. The pork reminded me of beef jerky because it was so dry and over cooked. The cheese on the nachos was most definitely some sort of canned cheese.

Juliana was my server! She was such a sweetheart and thought of every detail to make my experience the best. I got the bacon grape flatbread made into a pizza! So yummy!Juliana honestly made coming here worthwhile. Impeccable service.Kitchen staff Jonah even brought my food to me! Made me feel so special!Juliana is kindhearted, beautiful, and has such a great sense of humor. If you’re not coming here for the beer or pizza, take a trip in just to have Juliana serve you. 10/10.
