I rarely do complaints, but I hope this reaches corporate. This is without a doubt the worst store in Erie. I have never been so disgusted to walk in a dollar general, and have never been so angry leaving one. The store is slovenly and unprecedented. The shelves are blocked to the ceiling with packed shipment items. The “manager” is incompetent, lazy, and rude, yet rather than carrying out her managerial duties, sits aimlessly on the register soliciting with random customers while the actual cashiers do the heavy lifting. She was incredibly ignorant on the system, and I basically had to process my own transaction because she swore it couldn’t be done (I worked retail, and it indeed could be done). Another person behind the register (yes, person, not employee, i’m assuming her friend or husband) was demeaning and insistent I was in the wrong further adding to my aggravation. Not to mention, I’ve had an application in for over a month (which I am no longer perusing) and every time Ive gone in to check in on it, the same manager is sitting at the register doing nothing, and I get the same excuse of; “sorry we’ve been so busy, I haven’t gotten a chance.” I’ve worked at a CVS and have dealt with lines of over 50 people in less than an hour, while keeping the store clean and dealing with managerial duties, multiple shifts at a time and can confirm, the 2-3 customers that come in an hour are not the reason nothing gets done. I don’t usually root for the corporation, but I hope, for the sake of your store, you open your eyes and reconsider your management before the store itself collapses.

This store is always empty. Staff would rather do absolutely nothing than actually work! They think popping up ever other block will compete with other bigger chains! But honestly how can they when ever store is messy, empty and cluttered!!

Love the nite manager. Imma swing thru in a minute and get her name. She's amazingly talented w the way she jokes w customers and is so empathic w people. I've been going to her store(s) for the last 3yrs cuz her attitude. DG got a 🌟

Not a bad store considering it's location. Wanda the cashier is always friendly and helpful. Many downtown stores that have theft problems start to treat everyone like criminals. This store is not like that. It is refreshing. The only issue is that they tend to be understocked.

Staff is really nice here and this store is actually a little bit cleaner than most Dollar General locations, it’s just not in a safe neighborhood unfortunately but it’s really convenient for the people who live near it.

They dont replace the ink cartridges in their registers like they r supposed to and i get screwed out of my money that i worked for. They wont let me return my bluetooth speaker for my money back because the receipt machine messed up on printing the receipt. So now i am $16 in the hole with a broken speaker from their store.

My 2 most favorite things as I grow older are dollar stores and caller I'D. Dollar General has an amazing inventory. The staff is aiways helpful, and the prices just right! The stores are also conveniently located...

Its close by & usually has whatever I need in a hurry. It can be messed up but its in a high traffic area. They acknowledge you when you enter and that's a nice thing.

I went to get a charger n i got hme to be very disappointed bc it wasnot a charger at all nor could i charge my device i am very upest the employees was talking amongst each other n messed up my purchase

Not to bad prices although the time in which we live in make long lines but to save money makes the wait worth it rather then have long line then more employees to rases prices in our nation's time of need.
