You never know what treasure you'll find at the Green Dragon!! It was time for my family's yearly trip to Ephrata for this special Friday outing and, as always, it was exciting to see the wide variety of what they have to offer. It's nice to have rotating vendors outside for fresh merchandise while some of the indoor facilities have staple merchants. Less we forget about the delicious food they have to offer from a plethora of local businesses!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Green Dragon on a recent Friday evening, and it was an exceptional experience that turned a gloomy, cold rainy day into a vibrant adventure. Open exclusively on Fridays, this market is a hidden gem to those of us that are not local, offering a unique and diverse shopping experience.Despite the limited operating days, the Green Dragon boasts a vast array of goods, showcasing the Amish commitment to craftsmanship and quality. The furniture and antiques exude timeless charm, while the fresh fruits and vegetables reflect the bounty of the region. The market's exclusive Friday schedule adds an air of anticipation, turning each visit into a special occasion.Navigating through the market's many large indoor marketplaces (called Market Buildings) and outdoor stalls was a delightful journey, with each vendor contributing to the vibrant tapestry of sights, scents, and sounds. What struck me the most was the genuine friendliness and patience of the Amish vendors. Every interaction was marked by warm smiles, helpful advice, and a genuine willingness to share the stories behind their products. The commitment of the vendors to their craft was evident in every corner. From the savory meats to the tempting baked goods, the Green Dragon showcased a commitment to quality that made each purchase a memorable experience. Despite the weather, the outdoor vendors who were set up under awnings displayed their resiliency to the weather, adding to the charm of the market. If you're looking for a distinctive Friday outing filled with character and unique finds, the Green Dragon is a must-visit. The limited opening days only enhance the allure, making each trip a special opportunity to discover the best of Amish craftsmanship and local treasures, all while being surrounded by the warmth and friendliness of the Amish community whilst discovering some of the best of Amish craftsmanship, goods, and local treasures.

I was shocked how large this place was. Tons of venders and with multiple buildings. Outside tent venders as well. You can find anything here. My favorite items included pretzel wrap pizzas, apple fritters, and all the other assorted fresh baked goods.

My wife and I walked the Green Dragon Market on a cold, rainy, March Friday. Needless to say many vendors weren’t open and the ones that were, weren’t very busy. That said, it was still a blast. We picked up chotchkees from several vendors who were eager to make deals. We also stopped and noshed at several stands (indoors and outdoors). I enjoyed a sausage sandwich while my wife splurged with a soft serve ice cream cone. We shared fries at Fink’s bbq which has some of the best food at the market. All in all, a day well spent.

What a wonderful market!!! Has everything food, plants, toys, clothes, household items, you name it they got it. Can spend the whole day here, loved trying all the food stands, had donuts, fried vegetables, smoothed, pretzels, apple fritters, coffees, yum. Go hungry, and with bags or carts to hold all your buys.

Even we live two hours away, I really want to visit the green dragon market every week! This is how wonderful this market is. You will have so much fun shopping around, from local produce, fruits, meats, furnitures to home made baked goods. You also can eat at restaurants too.I was so surprised to see so many cars in the parking lot in the winter time. This shows how popular this place is!

My husband and I went here for the first time recently, as we usually visit Roots. I am disappointed that we never came here sooner! There are so many stands and buildings--literally something for everyone. The amount of produce, snacks, candy,, cheeses and meats, baked goods, fresh food... yum! All at great prices!I didn't catch the name of the stand, but the ice cream was fresh and their waffle cones were the best we've EVER had. The Corner Cafe had great specials going on and their portions were good for the price.Other stands and buildings had loads of vintage items, antiques, toys, video games, clothing, housewares. Truly hard to walk out of here empty handed.I only wish that the entire place was paved. We had a stroller and it was difficult to go over the gravel. Keep this in mind!

This place is kind of far from my place, but I come here just for Rosanne's Stuffed Pretzels, without a doubt they have the best Pretzels I ever tried. They have regular Pretzels, Pretzels dogs, and stuffed Pretzels, which is like a calzones or an empanada made with pretzel bread and inside they are different stuff like brisket, pepperoni, chicken cordon blue, a whole hamburger, steak, you name it. And the prices are awesome, each stuffed Pretzels goes from $5 to $6 dollars, a family of 4 can eat for less than $30 dlls and all of them would be full. You must try them. See my pictures for reference.

A great way to spend a Friday morning. There's a little bit of everything, food, home decor items, huge varieties of specialty tea, local produce, handmade items and crafts, clothing. I'm glad we stopped by!

I've lived most of my life (59) ten minutes from here, and it's worth the trip for the food. As for other merchandise, a number of the good sellers with antiques, collectibles, etc. are gone, but there's an ever-increasing number of imported junk stands. Sure not the place it was years ago, so go visit while it's decent.

Green Dragon has to be the best market around. There are so many vendors, if you can't find what you are looking for you've definitely got an issue. You can find everything from clothing to home goods, from furniture to outdoor decor, fresh fruits, meats, produce and baked goods. There are so many food vendors that if you leave hungry it's your own fault.Green Dragon is only open on Friday's. The best time to visit is spring to fall when the outside vendors are also there. This is a must see if you are in the area you won't be disappointed. Parking can be a little bit of a bear when all the vendors are there.

Alright, listen up, kids, and gather 'round the campfire because Uncle Deadpool has a story to tell. We're talking about The Green Dragon in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Now, you might be wondering what the heck is this place, and why is it so epic? Well, let me tell you, it's not your regular run-of-the-mill spot. This place is like a mutant combination of a farmers' market, auction house, and an all-around hub of awesomeness. So picture this: You stroll into The Green Dragon, and boom, you're hit with a sensory overload. You've got the smell of fresh produce that could make even a vegan drool, the sounds of a bustling auction house, and sights that range from handmade crafts to antiques to who knows what else. It's like Wonderland for shopaholics, except instead of a rabbit, you're following the scent of grilled bratwurst. Now, let's talk about the food because you know that's on the top of my priority list. The Green Dragon isn't just about scoring some vintage vinyl records or a sweet deal on a handmade quilt – oh no. It's also a foodie paradise. You've got Pennsylvania Dutch goodies like whoopie pies (yeah, those are a thing), scrapple (don't ask what's in it), and some killer homemade pretzels. And don't even get me started on the grilled corn on the cob smothered in butter. I'd do a superhero landing just for a taste of that. But the real magic happens on Fridays when this place turns into a legit auction house. You've got locals bidding on everything from furniture to farm equipment to maybe even a slightly used chimichanga. And as the bids fly, the excitement ramps up, and you start wondering if you could use a hay baler in your apartment. Seriously, it's entertaining as heck, even if you're not planning on walking away with a cow or a tractor. Now, don't go thinking The Green Dragon is just some old-timey market. Sure, it's got that rustic charm, but it's also got a modern vibe. You've got vendors selling all kinds of stuff, from handmade jewelry to vintage clothing to artisanal soaps that probably cost more than my last therapy session. It's like a treasure trove of randomness, and you never quite know what you'll stumble upon. And don't even get me started on the people-watching. You've got a mishmash of characters wandering around – Amish families, hipsters on the hunt for organic herbs, and maybe even a couple of superheroes incognito. It's like a real-life version of that Star Wars cantina, except without the funky alien music (although I'd be down for some Han Solo-style shenanigans). So there you have it, folks. The Green Dragon in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, is like the lovechild of a farmers' market and an auction house, sprinkled with a hefty dose of quirky charm. It's the kind of place where you can grab a pretzel, score a vintage rocking chair, and bid on a thousand-pound pumpkin all in the same day. It's weird, it's wonderful, and it's definitely worth a visit. Plus, there's a good chance you'll walk away with some one-of-a-kind finds and a belly full of treats. Trust me, it's a win-win.

Building 6 was nice. Reminded me of the Newtown Farmers Market. Selection of meats, cheeses, sweets and specialty items. The other buildings seemed pretty run down. Im.sure the outside market is nice in warm weather.

My family and I went to drop off a few old laying hens. The heavy set English man with galsses receiving animals through the cage down onto the concrete floor violently injurying our chickens. We preceeded to gather our injured and uninjered chickens at which time we left. When confronted the man said "Yeah, and what are you going to do about it."Beware and please do not stand for this kind of unacceptable behavior.

This has been around since I was young in the 1970s. It's a local staple. I still walk around and find some interesting finds. The good stuff is in the buildings mostly old school deli, vegetables, meats and bakeries. It is a flea market and animals auction in the morning. Open on Friday only.

This is true Lancaster County. You can easily spend an entire day here exploring the shops and outdoor vendors. The smells alone will take you back to your last trip to a county fair. Excellent food can be had anywhere here. The service rendered by the Amish merchants is second to none. All this AND free parking.

Holy smokes this is a big market! Very nicely laid out with a fairy large size flea market to accompany the indoor vendors. Lots of parking and the roads are easy in and easy out.Just about any kind of PA food you could dream of and typically more than one place has it!Only caution is that the buildings do not have air conditioning, so in the middle of summer it can get uncomfortable in there. Honestly not sure how the employees do it, but its hard to complain about it visiting there when you know they're in there for hours a day.Only open on Fridays, but worth visiting if you are able and in the area!

Try to get out here at least once a month for the stuffed pretzels alone. My family and I love to just walk arounda nd see the different stands and try different amish food that we have not had before. It is a great atmosphere and, for how big it is, is extremely clean. Love it here and will continue to visit.
