So happy to finally have my old town loon 106! My experience was 5 stars. Their website was accurate and up to date with their inventory and Dale was wonderful helping from start to finish.The 106 was not on sale but matched the MSRP I see online or within $100 of those prices. I found it definitely worth it to go through LCM as I had an awesome personal experience, got to see it in person, got my registration done in the moment, and all the accessories I needed. I was really happy to find the kayak locally and support a local business (which means I also didn’t have to pay shipping or deal with shipping damage nightmares.The non-angler loons were the best price I’ve seen at $1064. We will definitely be back when my fiancé is ready to get her loon.Thank you!

If you’d like to see and check out a large selection of kayaks(100+), this is the place. They only sell the better brands and no junk. They also have a lot of accessories like life jackets, paddles, and other boating stuff. Only thing is they are understaffed, and although the people there are cool, it can get hard to get help at times so be patient.

I went in to purchase a PFD, with the thought that I MIGHT buy a kayak. I BOUGHT THE KAYAK!! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They took the time to find the perfect kayak for me. They had it narrowed down to just a couple of options after asking a few questions and factoring in my body type (they know their stuff)! I sat in each kayak multiple times as they explained everything and let me take my time to feel each one out. Once I had decided and was going through the checkout process, I was IN AWE at their overall knowledge as I listened to them helping other customers and knew that I was in good hands. I feel like I got to chat with close to every member of their family through the whole process. I was also in need of a roof rack to transport my freshly purchased kayak (and also my husbands previously purchased circa 2014 kayak) and they hooked us up! It was so easy and the one on one tutorial was top notch! 10/10, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, looking forward to future visits!

I came in as an Amsoil sales rep, and spoke to Duane the service manager. He was extremely kind, and professional. I valued his passion for the business.I would have at least appreciated the opportunity to present our brand, our products, our history, and how we could service your business. It would have been helpful for him to consider listening.Having another brand to offer especially a superior product would absolutely drive in new customers who will spend money on other services, or products.Customers love options especially in lubricants. Only having one brand which is the manufacturers brand does not provide customers with options.The majority of powersports businesses offer a few options. If business is booming like he said it never hurts to be open to trying new things. After all there are no buy ins, or minimum order requirements, and your customers will shop with you regardless of the economic situation. From the first contact with Dale to spending time with Duane to try on some kayaks to office paperwork with Sarah, LCM staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I highly recommend them for all your kayaking needs. If you can’t find it in their inventory, then you don’t need it. I called up asking for a Hobie Lynx with color papyas, Dale didn't have that but worked out a deal where he was able to swap some colors with others so I didn't have to wait for a new order that would have stretch it out by months. I was able to pick it up within a few weeks. Dale also gave me some credit back for some discoloration which was a great bonus. Thank you for the smooth transaction.

I think the reviews overall are pretty accurate for this place after visiting myself. You have to initiate contact with these people working otherwise they won't interact with you at all. Secondly, from my experience at least, they take phone calls over customers already at the store. I waited approximately 10-15 minutes or so while one of the store owners took multiple calls over my needs. As for inventory it's pretty solid. The staff that work there are very knowledgeable. Will I come back? Nope. One and done for me they had their chance and failed when it came to making a deal.

Dwayne was wonderful in helping me find the right kayak. At 6'4" / 250 lbs, I am not a one size fits all kind of guy. I got a Necky 14' with a rudder and cannot be happier. The kayak is super fast (especially for a sit on top) and the rudder makes it fun to twist through low hanging tree limbs.Thanks for helping me find a way to really enjoy being on the water.

Highly recommend Lancaster County Marine. Family owned and operated. Exceptional selection of quality kayaks, backed by knowledgeable staff. I had been shopping for months online, for a fishing yak, then I found out that Lancaster County Marine had all the kayaks, in stock. Stopped a couple days ago, Dale walked me through options and I purchased an Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL. They had all the accessories and loaded my new yak onto my SUV. Easy and a pleasure to do business with. I read the other reviews, some were not satisfied, but absolutely not my experience. Go to Lancaster County Marine, they have outstanding selections, options and they really know their products. Plus it is a quality, family owned and operated business - just go to Lancaster County Marine, they are the best of the best.

They have a large selection of kayaks and I went in wanting to like the place. But at the end of the day it is very much like being at the car dealer. Long process and some last second fees were added at the very end which was unprofessional. The salesman claimed that the purchased kayak weighed "30 pounds, yes that's right, three zero". Fortunately for me I do my own research and knew that couldn't be quite right. Sure enough, it weighs 36 pounds. There was talk about discounts on other items for buying a kayak but no numbers or documentation. Again, it's a neat place but against my expectations I left not excited about visiting again or recommending to others. Do your own research and read the other reviews. Never put down a deposit on anything. If they say there's more stock coming in soon, just put that statement to the test or find it elsewhere.

We ordered 2 kayaks late summer 2021. We had the pleasure of meeting Duane, who helped us find the right kayaks. Then, we met Sarah and Dale who were very helpful as well. We placed the order knowing that the manufacturer was not producing the color that we wanted because of the pandemic. Sarah went to bat for us and for a few other customers to have the manufacturer fill our orders as requested. It was worth the wait because today we picked up our kayaks and they are exactly what we wanted. Isaiah showed us how to mount the racks and the kayaks on top of our truck. We were delighted to meet Isaiah's mom and had a delightful conversation with her. In summary, we were very pleased with the service that we were provided with. We were treated like family!

I am very happy with the way everything’s worked out. I found a kayak I liked, they promptly got back to me. We discussed several options and once I made a choice they figured out the shipping for my new kayak. The shipping cost was very reasonable and everything went flawlessly. I bought an Old Town Loon 106 Angler from Lancaster Marine on 2/28/23 and got it on a lake a few days later. First the buying experience. This is a 56 year old family business. You don’t stick around that long if you’re not treating your customers right!I exchanged a few emails with Dale before I made the trip up from Maryland and met his brother Duane when I got there.There was no high pressure sales, or trying to get me interested in a more expensive kayak. They took me right to the yak I was interested in and spent a long time educating me on Old Town’s history and kayak fabrication process. The kayaks are built in the U.S., which mattered to me. Then I sat in the kayak and we went over the 106 Angler from bow to stern.Everything I had learned from my research was reiterated and more. I bought it and we chatted more while we loaded it onto my truck. A truly great buying experience and worth the drive.The kayak is a huge upgrade from my BassPro Ascend. It’s wider, deeper, more stable and loaded with cool features. The seat is designed to adjust in a variety of ways to suit your size and it is extremely comfortable. The cockpit is large with the console in place and even larger when removed. The trolly anchor system is a nice addition, as are the built in bottle and paddle holders.This kayak tracks like a dream and turns with minimal effort. The kayak is constructed in three layers and there is no give or wobble at all in the hull or elsewhere.Both the purchasing experience and the Old Town Loon 106 Angler are completely worthy of 5 stars!Thanks again Dale and Duane! You two are experts and I’m glad I met you!

Avoid Lancaster County Marine! They have a large selection of kayaks. They have the know how. BUT, as others have mentioned, they are very quick to try to get a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT on things that shouldn’t even require a deposit. My wife and I went there to look at kayaks. We were assured that they would fit on our existing Yakima roof rack (they knew exactly which rack I owned) with the appropriate attachments. (They are also a Yakima dealer). We gave a deposit and planned to come back the next day with our Yakima rails installed. When they went to put the kayaks on the roof, they realized they would not fit with the existing rails and said we needed to spend an additional $300 plus to upgrade to wider rails. No apology, no adjustment and no refund offered for their mistake! I said I’d have to go home and think about what I wanted to do. I decided I had little choice and paid for upgraded rails. When I started looking at accessories, I found that they were charging 30 to 70 % OVER suggested mfg. suggested retail! Needless to say I bought my paddles, life jackets, trolling motor, and other accessories elsewhere. When I challenged them on their exorbitant prices, they had no explanation other than to feign surprise. The owner, who was my salesman, was like a typical car salesman, pretending to be your good friend. I only bought the kayaks there because they were in stock and selling for the same price everywhere if you could find them.

!!!SHOPPERS BEWARE!!! Terrible customer service. I called them on the phone to make sure they had an oil filter for my boat to purchase. Dale confirmed, so I went in to buy it. However, once I got there, I was told that I had to buy other items to make it “worth selling to me”. The other items they wanted me to buy included oil that was extremely overpriced. This is not my first time here, and the same level of service continues to be a problem. I highly do not recommend going here.

Total scam. They charge you a deposit and if you change anything you are going to lose it. I lost 500 $ to these scam artists. I have not received anything from them cause I canceled a kayak which they have on their back order and were not able to give me an ETA. Be Aware.

I wrote a review a few months ago when we purchased our kayaks in May that I was a little worried about their stance towards wearing masks in the store....maybe I just wanted them to take the virus a little more seriously. We went to pick up our kayaks today and they all wore their masks and made a really nice effort to make us feel comfortable. I totally appreciated that... Dale, Isaiah and Sara were great....wonderful customer service, great knowledge of the kayaks. All around great experience.

What an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in the door until I drove off with my new Hurricane Kayak everything from selection, service, advice, quality and value was way above expectations. I asked dozens of questions and Dale and staff were patient, very knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. I asked them to install a custom rod holder system and they had it installed within 24 hours! Prices were reasonable and online from my research online and they even have a loyalty program that netted my hundreds in savings. The advice and guidance is worth a trip to this place alone. Couldn't be happier!

After doing tons of research, test paddles, talking to people, I went into Lancaster Marine to buy a pretty high end fishing kayak. I wanted to buy from them because I live very local. The only employees I saw in the hour I spent playing with their kayaks avoided eye contact like I had the plague.I left, drove to the land of tax free shopping, and bought my cool new kayak.That was two weeks ago, and now I need a trailer or roof rack. I thought there was just no way I’d get ignored again. I was wrong. After being ignored again, I got in an employees face, and asked if there was anyone who could answer questions about a Yakima. He sighed, said he guessed that was him, and started to walk over to show me.He actually then ignored me to talk to a customer that came in after me.The Yakima won’t work, and I really want the trailer I was ready to buy if the rack wasn’t an option, but I guess I’ll have to drive again. Fascinating business model.

This is a place where the phrase buyer beware really applies. They make you put a deposit down for pending purchases, fair enough, most other places do the same, but they also have a contract you sign that prevents you from getting any of your deposit back if you don't make the purchase for any reason. Many similar stores do not have this practice and you have other less challenging options when shopping so shop wisely. I'd suggest looking through the reviews and the Better Business Bureau website for similar complaints, you'll see many, so you can make an informed decision. A great alternative is Blue Mountain Outfitters in Marysville who allows you to cancel a purchase and get a full refund.

I recently purchased a kayak trailer for a Bicycle for my son’s 14th birthday which cost $350 when I got it home and put it together the trailer was very flimsy and of poor quality. I had to reinforce the cross member that holds the wheels on as they were designed very poorly and my main concern is safety . My son was very excited to get out and ride to the river and launch his new kayak but not even one mile from the house the part that connects the trailer to the bike had broken while he was riding down the street , the trailer does have a safety strap and it was being used but still the kayak had received some scratches. My son called me up and told me what happened and luckily he did not get hurt , I’m in California for work and was unable to help him but he found a friend with a truck to get him home . The trailer I purchased was a joke let alone dangerous and for $350 I totally feel robbed .

Bought two kayaks here two years ago, great service, taught us how to out them on our car. Used to have a great selection of lake kayaks and Old Towns. Took a friend today to buy a kayak (he was really ready to buy one). NO practical lake boats, hardly any Old Town lake/river boats. What is worse is no one even acknowledged we were there, no one came to answer our questions. I am stunned with the 180 degree turn in customer service and selection. They lost a sale and two life ling boating customers.

I ordered my kayak march 17th. Its august 13 an still no Kayak. The customer service from Dale and the rest of staff has been neglegent and Disrespectful at best! Promises to communicate or call back never fulfilled. Only offerd a kayak if I paid an xtra 400to upgrade and shipping went from under 300 to over 550 closer to 600. Refusing a refund. I'm currently fighting to get my money back through the bank but initial results may not be in my favor. DO NOT BUY HERE! CURRENTLY IM OUT 2199$ WILL UPDATE AGAIN! Updated , I received a full refund from my Bank ! This place is a scam avoid shopping here

I bought a used boat from here about 2 weeks ago. I love the boat, just disappointed in the service. I was told that my boat had a tune up, it was ready to hit the water and that it was a very reliable boat. I had it on the water twice so far and had trouble with the engine randomly shutting off and puttering. I called to speak to Duane on Saturday and was told he was busy and would call me back. I still haven't gotten a call back (today is Wednesday). So I took the hood off over the weekend and figured out the problem was my fuel filter and in line filter. When taking my fuel filter out it was black and I was scraping chunks of algea out, when I changed my in line filter same thing its filled with dirt. So this just disappoints me that I didn't get a call back and I had to spend another $30 on top of price of boat and change these parts myself even though they claimed it had a tune up. Definitely won't be going back for anything.

Dale, Sara, and the rest of the family are awesome We bought our first kayak a few weeks ago and went back a week later and grabbed another one for the wife. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Even though it's a 2 hour drive for me, I'd definitely go back.
