My family and I love this community gathering spot and bookstore. As an independently owned and run store, it offers great selections, events, online webinars and author chats, and outdoor meet and greets with local artists and illustrators. They can order almost any book with comparable shipping times, with store delivery or pickup. A community bookstore is more than a brick and mortar that sells stuff, it's the intellectual and social hub of the town. It offers so many opportunities to children, parents, and families. I appreciate that they also offer employment for high school students and have been so flexible and dedicated during these difficult times. I shop here all the time. There really is something for everyone.

I absolutely love this bookstore! The staff are always nice, always talkative, there's always new books when I walk in, and the separate rooms for different ages is awesome! There's two cats, and Bernie loves attention and likes to be held sometimes. They even have a free little library in their side alley that is always stacked full of books!

Went here with my mother and son for the first time. Amazing book store. It’s the type of store that makes you feel as tho you are home. Comfortable, no pressure browsing. Great selection of books, primarily focused on kids but with a nice sprinkle of adult titles as well. The stars of this store are the two extremely friendly cats that my son got to pet to his hearts content. The owner was incredibly friendly and took time to show him all the unique parts of her store. I will be a return customer for sure!

It is rare to find an independent bookstore these days, let alone one that caters and includes you. This book store is so charming. I loved the people and the message. They also have a website! If you're looking for a valuable activity for children and family, go there is worth the trip. .

Let's Play Books Bookstore is a wonderful place! They not only provide excellent resources for readers (interesting displays, suggestions, and ordering titles), they also create a great community destination. There are frequently author/illustrator visits, book clubs for a variety of ages, and fun activities such as puzzles in the cattic. Speaking of cats, the two bookstore cats who live there, Garfield and Bernie, are absolutely amazing and worth stopping in to meet! I definitely recommend visiting Let's Play Books Bookstore.

This store is amazing! The staff is always so helpful. If they don't have a book in stock, they can order it for you on the spot. They wear their heart and values on their sleeves, and truly believe in the power of books to build up a community and create a place where learning helps people thrive. This was the best bookstore I've been to in a while. It is a family run store, but you couldn't even tell if you look at how well it is run. All the workers are very nice, especially the worker named Maddie. This young lady helped me find a book, and was very sweet and kind. Also this book store hosts events that are perfectly planned out. There are frequent author meets, and child friendly activities. Let's Play Books Bookstore is the only bookstore that I would recommend going to.

I order from LPB pretty regularly. They always get my books to me in a timely manner and call to make sure the order is correct. Kirsten is the sweetest person - she's so knowledgeable and kind and will sometimes throw in a book she thinks I or my kids might like as a gift. We can't wait to come back east and visit in person someday!

I love this shop. Let's Play Books is my first stop for gifts - and they are so helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have what you're looking for, odds are very good that they can order it for you. They've been forced to pivot so many times in response to the pandemic, but through it all have offered exceptional customer service. Check out their website if you can't stop in to the shop!

Great that others have had good experiences. Our was completely different. We purchased a "membership" a few years back when we bought some books there for our young teen son. The guy who checked us out seemed bored and standoffish (which should have been a clue), no one else was in the bookstore. We had put our email address on the list but never received any emails - no "special sales", events, anything. I tried to put our email in the system again, never got anything.Really liked the bookstore itself and appreciated the variety of books, but definitely didn't give off any vibes of welcoming or inclusive in the couple of times we've been in.

If you LOVE supporting your local downtown businesses, this should be on your lists of stops. Great selection of books and the layout of the store keeps the kids engaged in the book buying process. They offer tons of fun, family friendly events throughout the year and always seem to be up to something new. If you haven't been here yet, its worth the visit.

Great little hometown bookstore. Good selection with some cool collectible stuff mixed in. Friendly people. Prices are higher than the big chains but watch for sales. It’s worth a little more to have a small business like this in Emmaus.

This is THE BEST store. Walking through the door is like entering a fairyland. Great selection of books and kids things, and fabulous customer service. This store hosts reading groups and kids activities, and supports local schools. It is one of Emmaus' best treasures.
