We have traveled I-80 for years, and kept meaning to stop here! This year, we did… and it was awesome! Cheeseburger & fries for me, chicken wrap with tots for my husband and another wrap for our daughter. All the food was great! The pie though… awesome! Apple, chocolate cream and coconut cream! Our server was wonderful- I wish I remembered her name! The restaurant has a unique atmosphere that is a trip back in time, and the gift shop is huge and also very unique. Oh- and a great cup of coffee!!Don’t miss out on this little place.

I saw a good review for the fried chicken so I wanted to try it. I'm sorry I did. I normally order a burger or chicken sandwich and they have always been really good. The fried chicken was very dry, the crust had no flavor. I ordered onion rings and salad for my sides. The onion rings were decent, they lacked alot of flavor though. We ordered caramel apple walnut and coconut cream pie to go, both were delicious. Our waitress was AMAZING!!! If we hadn't eaten there before and had good food we wouldn't go back based on the fried chicken, it was pretty bad.

Absolutely wonderful food. Started with the beer cheese and pretzel bites and the garlic crusted cheese curds. Both delicious. Then the husband and I had the beer cheese burgermeister. I had home fries and he had French fries. The fries were done perfectly and the burger was very flavorful. We ended with a slice of the chocolate cream pie and I added a scoop of chocolate ice cream. It was melt in your mouth amazing and the crust was perfect. Donna was our waitress and she was a sweetheart. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve eaten here many times over the years. It USED TO BE a very nice place for a quality meal. Not so much anymore. The food was just ok where before it was GOOD. The prices have gone up just like most things have but the portion size also went down. The waitress barely put any effort in at all and they used to have some very good ones there. It’s now just a shadow of what it used to be unfortunately

The service was better than the food. My waitress, Shelly, was great. She kept checking on me and made sure my coffee was full. I ordered the "Mess," which was scrambled eggs mixed with home fries, with a biscuit on the side. This dish needed something, so I nuked it with ketchup, as well as salt and pepper. The biscuit was disappointing, hard as a rock. I should have asked for a new one, but I was tired and hungry. The next time I'm in the area, I will be probably come back, but try the non-breakfast menu items.

We had a late lunch, I got a Reuben and my son got a GIANT plate of spaghetti and meatballs! I enjoyed my sandwich but my son filled up on our appetizer of chicken tenders and took his entree home (where he said I could add sugar to his sauce) haha! Half of the sandwich went home also because it was quite large too! We were very happy with the service and the prices also. They have done some remodeling in the kitchen and made major improvements. The kids game room is gone but is now replaced with an adult game room (must be 21 to play) the gift shop was remodeled also and is much larger, so my 11 year old was sad he couldn't play games anymore he found many things he liked at the gift shop and my bill proves it!EDIT... 5 Stars to 2, ordered a big to go order at 6:41 pm on a Saturday night. My son and I ordered dinner and breakfast for the next day... Our pancakes (6) that cost $17.98 weren't even edible. The cook hadn't even tried to scrape the grill. The flavor was bland, they tasted like they felt; like a sponge and had black stuff all over the outsides fromtheother food on the grill. 😒 We also got 2 orders of bacon and 2 orders of homefries (1 with grilled onions and peppers) they both came with the onions and peppers and were chopped too small to pick out. The potatoes were old and fried hard on one side. My Fish dinner (fried with fries and coleslaw) was very delicious and only $12.99👍. My son's Bacon cheeseburger and fries was average but nothing worth the $15.68 we were charged. I've never been charged for bacon and cheese separately after you already pay for a BACONCHEESE Burger? When I checked the menu online it states that it's only $11.39. Oh and I ordered 2 pieces of pie a banana cream and a chocolate cream but only got 1 chocolate cream pie and my son said it was the best part! Thank goodness I only got charged for 1! Horrible experience 🤢🤑maybe the difference between eating in and take-out?

Stopped for lunch on a long drive. The attached store is bigger and better stocked than a Cracker Barrel... great place to shop for gifts of all kinds! The restaurant was a little dark and outdated, but who cares when the seats are comfortable, the view out the window is nice, the food is good, and the service is great! Excellent BLT with tater tots and yummy Mac salad. Very reasonable prices, too!

You may never cross paths with Owen from the Hotel up the hill. Take a pause from your busy life to ponder this for a brief spell. You dont know Owen, but his lore is indeed legendarily spreading across the greater Allegheny River Valley. If Owen tells you where to eat, you can bet it is the Plaza Restaurant. His musk and waft may mist the air overlooking Interstate 80 - and the pheromones containg his seed will draw you like a moth to a flame. Glance at the menu, surely something will tickle your fancy, allow your fancy to be tickled - and know - Owen is always there for you, right up the hill. Walk, run, write a letter - Owen will answer the call. His duty is to cast his bounty over all those who venture within his aura's shadow YET - do not fear the shadow and darkness - as Owen will light the beacon from within you - and light your path to the Plaza Restaurant.

We were at the Plaza Tuesday October 17 around 5:00 pm. Sierra was our waitress. She was excellent, very pleasant and was waiting on a least 6 other tables and still took care of us. I usually don't write reviews but she really impressed me. I used to be a manager of a fast food restaurant, so I know a exceptional worker when I see one. She is a keeper. Also food was excellent. We had the Chicken stew and a delicious fish sandwich.

This was a gem! Great atmosphere, clean, great service, and great food. The coffee was awesome! The adult/kids got lunch and my husband and I got the breakfast. They loved the food too. The only reason I didn't give that a 5 star was because the bacon on our breakfast was a bit burnt for our taste. It was a unique place and we all loved it.

It would be nice to have at least on vegan item in your menu. It’s 21 century outside. Simply buy one pack of “Beyond Meet” patties and keep them in your frizzer. It will cost you nothing, but when times will come, you will make one hungry vegan happy 😋Have a lovely day🌱

We Went in for dinner, received a taco salad with no meat or cheese and I sent it back, by the time it got back to me my partner was done eating so I needed a to go box. When I checked the salad they had melted the cheese and burnt it and the meat was so hot it wilted the lettuce, I still had to pay for it and it went right into the garbage before we even left the restaurant. We were faithful customers but there are to many other places that will treat you right so we won't be returning here. New management is terrible. All they had to do was make it right and she wouldn't even do that!

After passing this several times I thought I'd stop at this cozy looking place. The store is very nice and has many things you can buy. So I sat in the restaurant and ordered biscuits and gravy. $13 for a plate. It tasted funny to me. ( My grandmother made it homemade with bacon or sausage grease.) I told the server it tasted odd. She shrugged it off. I kept eating. I finished about 1/4 of it. I finally figured out it tasted like tuna. I told her. She said nobody else had complained. She had no empathy at all and was sure I was gonna pay for them. She laid the bill down. A cook walked by. I asked him. He said the gravy was Libbys. NOT EVEN HOMEMADE GRAVY ! I had to pay for this garbage.( The apple pie was very good. ) As someone from Tennessee, I would laugh when my friend called the area Pennsyl-tucky. But I find it's an insult for Kentucky because they would atleast make homemade gravy. I am not a picky eater but I am a good cook. I had to pay for garbage this morning.I found the meal to be not inimitable for good fellowship with my co driver.

I can't say enough positive about this restaurant. Starting with our above and beyond wonderful waitress Caitlyn. We both had the meat loaf with HOMEMADE mashed potatoes, it was perfect, even the gravy was awesome and I'm very picky on that. The pies are to die for. We as OTR truck drivers are just happy tonight that there are still places left like this gem. Thank you so much Plaza Restaurant/ Caitlyn

Showed up with a very large group of people today and surprised them with the amount of business, instead of getting upset and being short with us like many rest would if that many people came in unannounced we were met with a smiling face and great service. Our server was very attentive to the needs of 4 tables that she was working all by herself. The drinks were always full and the food was great.

Asked for sausage gravy over biscuits with eggs on the side...they bring me my meal with the eggs right on top, and as I'm trying to eat around them, the egg yolks are just breaking into my meal. They offered to make me another which was generous but I turned it down because my appetite was kinda ruined. Got one coffee and they charged me for 2, resulting in paying $5.18 for one coffee. Will be our last time coming here.
