Beautiful and delicious cupcakes! The cupcakes I ordered for my daughter's baby shower were perfect. They were exactly what I wanted.The service I got while placing the order was wonderful. She took the time to make sure I was getting what I wanted. She even helped my search for colors and designs. She did not make me feel rushed. She made me feel relaxed and valued as a customer.

Living at The Residence at Whitehall … a family brought in a huge cake to share with all of us in the dining area for their 90 yr old mom and grandma …. I knew it HAD to be a Barton’s cake. Barton's staff is amazing! They help me to find the right flowers and use their expertise to add just the right touch to what I need. The store has so many unique gifts to choose from. The bakery hasn't ever let us down. We've bought cakes, cookies, fundraiser pepperoni rolls... And each experience has been a delicious adventure. Not to mention how creative the cookies and cakes are... Thank you Barton family and staff for always going above and beyond to help us add beautiful touches to everyday life!

I ordered a cupcake cake for my daughter's shower... the cake was super cute but the cupcakes and icing were awful tasting , dry, and even hard in spots like it was sitting for a week... wasted 60.00 on 2 dozen cupcakes that went in the garbage, the people at the shower even said there was something wrong with them. 😕 won't be using them again.

I have been going to Barton's for specialty cakes for different events (birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers and anniversaries) Every time, we have never been disappointed! Delicious cake, beautiful designs and they have gone above and beyond to create cake designs that are beautiful and custom. I could not recommend them more!

If these Easter delights taste half as delicious as they look.... First time visitor, and I was amazed at the beauty of both edible and non edible merchandise. It's like a walk back in time when mass production wasn't the norm. Vintage, classy, exquisite.UPDATE: Today I brought the Easter Bread to family dinner and I was both embarrassed and disappointed. Having grown up with my Grandmother's homemade version of this seasonal favorite, I know what this bread should taste like. Barton's attempt is a complete failure. I had to double check to make sure I actually purchased EASTER BREAD; after a few bites it resembled stale Italian bread.Unappealing photo added. That's almost the entirety of the Bread which will not be eaten. Waste of time and money.

Rating: 4.8 StarsMy parents got a Pumpkin Roll through a fundraiser so I am not overly familiar with this shop or their other product offerings. However, the Pumpkin Roll was a great choice! It had a great pumpkin taste with a nice hint of spice that was not overwhelming. The cream cheese icing had an excellent sweetness, and it complemented the pumpkin flavor quite nicely. I highly recommend this Pumpkin Roll!

I ordered a 3 tier wedding cake and flowers from them. When I arrived to the venue the top layer of my wedding cake was leaning due to no support on the bottom layers. The design was exactly what I asked for except for the leaning part. Guests at my wedding were disappointed by the taste of the cake.My flowers were white and black calla lilies. They said they would have to spray paint some of the white ones black and I was ok with that. The flowers looked beautiful at first but before we got our pictures taken the black flowers were chipping off the black paint. They did not make me aware that this would happen within an hour of having them. I figured the black paint would eventually chip off but not that quickly. All and all I would not recommend them and will not be a returning customer.

We used to LOVE Barton's. Their cakes and cookies are delicious, and the customer service used to be great. I tried to order a cake with a four-day notice, and the lady on the phone was rude and said that they changed their policy and need a one week notice. She made no effort to make an exception or even offer to sell us a cake that they usually have on hand in their case display.After ordering our wedding cookies, cake, and numerous birthday cakes from this bakery, we will not longer be a customer. It's okay for policies to change, but if you want to keep good customers, it's also a good idea to find solutions.

My husband and I ordered an 8 inch round, single tier, cake to cut during our reception and it was the most beautiful cake we've ever seen! The top was covered with colorful flowers to match our colors and the lemon batter and raspberry filling was delicious. Our DJ even said as we were cutting it that it was one of the most beautifully decorated cakes he'd seen (and he's worked at a lot of weddings). We could not have been more pleased!

I cannot stress enough how delicious their cupcakes were and how gorgeous their flower arrangements are. They did a phenomenal job catering our wedding and creating unforgettable floral arrangements for us and our bridal party. We ordered 100 cupcakes (the wedding cake and devils food cake are to die for!), a few gluten free cupcakes, and a sugar free pie and everyone was raving all night about how delicious the desserts were. We also had a Pittsburgh Cookie Table, and those cupcakes were still flying off the table! They are honestly the best cupcakes I have ever had, and I eat cupcakes OFTEN. Then the bridal bouquet was absolutely picture perfect! I added on a lot of customizations and Mr. Barton ran with the changes and made them better than I ever imagined. If you're not sure exactly what you want, he will make sure to show you every flower option available, including a few gorgeous additions I would never have even thought of! Then the bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were also stunning. They made the arrangements incredibly easy, were very responsive, and delivered our flowers and cupcakes without a single hitch. The bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were so beautiful, that I made sure to professionally preserve the bridal bouquet and the petals from the bridesmaids bouquets to create a lasting piece of our wedding. I could not have imagined better floral arrangements than what I was blessed to have on my wedding day. I cannot thank this shop enough for everything they did to make sure our day was perfect! We will also be driving the distance to get these cupcakes from now on, because they are bites of pure heaven!

Wow!! My stepdaughter bought her husband bday cake here. It was like a strawberry scooter crunch cake. At first I was thinking...no way because I don't particularly like fruit flavored desserts BUT let me tell you it was fantastic!! I think I found my new cake shop! Icing is phenomenal also.

I normally don't do reviews but I have to say this place is a hidden gem. My mom's bday was a Monday and no bakeries are open and I happened to find this place. When I called they couldn't have been nicer and went above and beyond to help me order a cake the same day. The cake was absolutely amazing and now my mom says she wants this cake every year! Thank you!!

Stopped in for the 1st time the other day. Have to say the worst bakery we have ever went to. The cookies and brownie we ordered were hard. The lady working was condescending. Won’t be returning.

purchased two ~120$ bouquets for a funeral viewing and was disappointed to find that they were two household sized vases…Sizes did not correlate to cost. Flowers were nice but sad to feel ripped off for a somber occasion when spending that much..Will take our business elsewhere in the future.

I used Barton's for my grandson's birthday. The cake was gorgeous and delicious. I took 42 cupcakes to our Employee Appreciation luncheon today, and everyone raved about them. Their products are always delicious and beautiful. Both Hailey and Amy provided excellent service.

Not only is the bakery magnificent, but the staff is like no other. I was late picking up my daughter’s birthday cake and called after closing time. Mary offered to drive the cake to me so that I had the cake for my daughter’s birthday. I have never experienced someone going out of their way like this for something that was my mistake. It was this act of kindness that will keep me going back to Barton’s for as long as I need baked goods! (Also they’re the best bakery in Pittsburgh!)Thank you, Mary! You saved the day!!!!

I am addicted to their baked goods! The cupcakes are delightful, the frosting is the best in the area, so light and creamy! Their lady locks are delicious, and they even have Buckeyes! (A hometown treat I’m having trouble finding in PA). They even do door dash! Highly recommend. ❤️

My favorite bakery in the area, hands down. I finally had the opportunity to check out a different (overpriced) bakery known as "Pittsburgh's Bakery" and will never again go anywhere other than Barton's. Not only are their baked goods beautiful, but they are delicious and priced well. I tried a few cutouts, thumbprints, lady locks, and buckeyes and EVERYTHING was delicious. Do yourself a favor and visit😊

Barton's did both our flowers and cake for our early spring Pittsburgh wedding.They are such a pearl for Pittsburgh weddings and I am so lucky to have found them! My flowers were fresh, full, and gorgeous, and we are still hearing about how delicious our fruit-filled wedding cake tasted. The staff are detail-oriented, creative, and reliable. We will absolutely be repeat customers for events and celebrations to come!

I ordered a small smash cake and half a sheet cake for my daughters first birthday, it was amazing! It exceeded all of my expectations and the pricing was even great. I had never been in the shop until then. I would reccomend them to anyone!

If I could have gave this “bakery” negative stars I would...We ordered an apple pie from this bakery through a fundraiser for a Mt. Lebonan soccer team and cut into the pie only to find mold growing on top of the apple filling. The pies were frozen right after receiving them from the bakery so the mold was there before the transaction. Completely unacceptable. Especially from a bakery that’s not mass producing these pies. Somebody dropped the ball and brushed quality and public health under the rug. Thanks Barton’s! Glad I didn’t bring this to thanksgiving dinner tomorrow........ trying to find out how to add a picture to this review to show proof of this carelessness. Long story short, if you love very not so fresh pies with mold growing on the filling hidden under the stale crust from sitting for 7-14 days before giving them to their paying customers then this is the place for you! Yes that’s how long it takes for mold to grow on apple pie filling. You’re welcome.
