We had such a lovely experience at this Alpaca Farm. When we arrived, we were greeted by Mary. She covered all of the rules, and stayed with us to answer all of our questions. We had a wonderful time and we bought a bunch of goodies at the store. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Pohopoco Creek Alpacas! Be sure to make an appointment and bring your camera!

Amazing place! Heads up call atleast a day or two before to schedule a time. Is not walk in, appointment is needed and is well worth it. It is 5 dollar per person and is a farm up the mountain. The owner Mary gave us a private tour and explained about alpaca to us. Mary is ultra knowledgeable and friendly! We were given carrots to feed the alpacas and we had so much fun. We also stop by the small gift shop and got some yarn, teddy bear and socks! A must visit for anyone who wants to see and interact with Alpacas!

Had an amazing time here with friends. Mary explained well the story behind her beloved alpacas as well as the nuances of taking care of these adorable animals. The shop is also a good source of alpaca-derived products whilst helping communities that keep the industry alive.

What an amazing time we had at the farm today! It was so great to be super hands on with the alpacas. We were able to give them treats (carrots that were provided), pet them and take pictures. We definitely will be coming back to visit again!

Beautiful space atop Rt 115 in Merwinsburg, PA.We found out about National Alpaca Day from chatting with people at a local resraurant. We parked and walked up the path to 2 tents that housed a woman pulling and weaving on a loom and in the other tent, a lady shared information plus bag of carrots to feed the alpacas. We entered the pasture where the alpacas were roaming and eating among all the visitors.I visited the craft shop and purchased a few things made from the wool.Great jaunt on a Saturday afternoon.Enjoy photos.

This place was fantastic! Visiting friends in the area and decided to call Pohopoco Creek Alpacas to see if we could schedule a time to stop by. Mary (if I remember her name correctly) was welcoming and friendly. It was $5 a person and she gave us carrots to feed the alpacas. Mary told us a lot about these beautiful animals and what their fur is used for. We were there about an hour. They have a small shop with things like socks, scarves, yarn for weaving or knitting, teddy bears, etc. The scenery was beautiful and it was lovely to learn more about the alpacas. Would recommend!!

This is a real alpaca farm. You have the opportunity to feed the alpacas and pet them if you choose. They are gorgeous animals and their fur makes for some super soft gifts. Yes, there's a gift shop too. Owner accepts Venmo if needed.
