For the most part, the older employees at this store are helpful, but there was one younger rude cashier there yesterday 11/30 who gives dirty looks and doesn't even greet customers.There was one employee that left who would greet customers and it was refreshing.

It would be a great store, except when you pull into the parking lot and see 2 people smoking out the back door and only one person at the register.... It gets to start feeling like the store is just F@@@ing you over. THEY ARE!

Dollar general is an amazing convenience store. I like their pricing and long hours 20% off coupons are nice too. I am so glad that this store opened (a few years ago) in our neighborhood. It is also nice to see more and more stores popping in this rural area

Although the people who work here are nice (which seems to be the exception rather than the rule in the west end), the store is dirty and dingy as compared to other DG stores I've been to in this area. The store also seems understaffed every time I go there. It needs a good scrub and about two more floor workers.

This was my first time at this location. Very friendly, helpful staff. Everything i was looking for was in stock even sale items on the last day of the sale. The store was a little sloppy could be more organized, who knows maybe they are understaffed. I would certainly recommend this store to anyone. And will definitely be coming back.

Always one line open at checkout. Lines are super long and other employees refuse to open registers. Store is in shambles, smells like something is rotting inside and some items are missing price tags. Giving it a two because of convience but in reality this is a one star store at best. Winter of 2019 the store opened while the parking lot was a sheet of ice making for hazardous conditions.

Pretty messy. I found the shoe polish on the floor under the shelf where it should have been. Cashier was good but long line and only one cashier. Think they need more employees. Maybe cause of covid??

Overall very well laid out and organized with friendly staff. Missing some inventory last couple times I was in, but had most if what I went in for... considering COVID-19 restrictions are in place, they are doing very well with their store and service!

The store has obviously gone through a change in management. Aisles are cluttered, shelves are a mess. New stock remains at the end of the aisle making it difficult to walk. I use to love going there. Now, only if absolutely necessary.

My local DG. The trash outside in their parking lot is horrendous! The amount of garbage spewed in the grass there is unacceptable. There's used oil containers, and mounds of cigarette butts. They don't have a garbage can outside and the employees don't clean up the trash. It's gross.It's also been robbed...twice, and the local degenerates go there to shop lift. The store is usually in disarray and has a revolving door of staff most of the time. It will get overcrowded and lines tend to get long. Most of the time there is only 1 employee on the register.Yes I shop there from time to time for cheap snacks or miscellaneous household items I don't want to drive to bville for.DG has been popping up EVERYWHERE now. And overall this is my least favorite of them in my surrounding area.

Found what I wanted but only one cashier for almost 15 people in line. Would have been nice if they called for a second person to help out. Wait was longer than shopping. Not first time this happened.

Dollar General employs the nicest people. Everyone is friendly and they all say Hi when you walk thru the door. Also they have GREAT prices and a very good stock. I can almost ALWAYS find what I'm looking for at Dollar General 👍

The Dollar Generals excellent place for when you can't get to the supermarket. Just go to the Dollar Generals and they are things in there that you can get and the prices are good and it lives up to his name because a lot of things you can get for a dollar and you stretch your money when you don't have that amount come in your pocket to spend at the same time. It's very convenient for single people who just want to snatch something and run and get home in time to go after work. Visited sometimes and you'll find out what I'm talking about.

Great location. Great selection and prices on most all products. If you have their app you can save even more with the digital coupons. I shop here at least once a week. You can usually get in and out fairly quickly.

Lots of items to be used around the house food basic tools.Was not impressed with the parking lot Found alcohol bottles syringes empty cans just a lot of debris that was most likely plowed up with the snow.

I love the convenience of our local dollar general but whenever I get there, I feel like a lot of the things in the fridge/freezer section is out of stock. Still appreciate that I can get most essentials from here

It's got most basic essential items you'd need to supply your house and a little bit extra so overall Dollar General is a pretty solid place to go to for items.

A particular younger cashier (who is tattooed horribly)at the Dollar General located in Effort often racially profiles ppl of color and chooses to announce when someone of color enters the store over the megaphone. She is TRASH and should not be in customer service.

Dollar General in Effort PA is horrible. It feels dirty and shelves aren't stocked. Tell your employees to stop taking all the Lysol and the better cleaning products as well as paper towels and toilet paper.

Customer service is good, however there is always a long line with one cashier. OK place if you need something on the spot. A bit pricey.

The store is poorly stocked and so busy. The poor employees do not have enough help and have toDeal with the wrath of nasty customers who do not realize that it’s the corporate offices fault Bc they are the ones that tell them how many hours they are allowed to use.

It was very pleasant easy to find my items that I needed and very friendly staff they were very efficient and when I needed help was there to help right away when seen waiting in a line was checked out immediately

A new, older woman was extremely rude to my husband when he went in there all because he showed up close to closing time. She followed him around the store, counting down the minutes that she was going to "allow" him to be inside. Apparently, restarting the place didn't do any good...

It's a Dollar General. Fine for small purchases or visiting traveler needs, but limited selection, and this location never has enough registers open during peak hours.

Decent variety, and ok prices, everything is not a dollar like the dollar tree however (which by the way is a great store as well!) Customer service is great. Does get packed sometimes.
