Food was really good! I’m vegan so I kept it to rice, beans and plantains but it was delicious! My family had some of the meals with meat and they enjoyed it very much. The venue could use an update to its bathrooms badly and seating, as the tables are a bit wobbly and sitting by the windows when it’s cold you’ll feel a draft. But again, the food is great!

For starters this bakery cafe is a gem in a quiet town. The personalized service my fiancé and I received from Gina and Theresa was amazing. Theresa took such care in making our iced coffees, blew all the chain coffee shops out of the water. And don’t get me started on the pasties, wow is an understatement. While talking with Gina we found that Theresa was not only the baker and the owner but also her very funny and kind mother, the duo are a delight to chat with. To cap this rant please please PLEASE go get the coconut bread (absolute perfection) apple turnover, pineapple turnover, meringues (bought the whole batch!), cheese danish and last but certainly not least, an iced coffee. This place is definitely on our list when we come back!

My husband and I went for a weekend trip in the Poconos. We came across this restaurant and the atmosphere was cozy. We ended up coming 3 times because their breakfast, dinner and pastries were amazing! We were born and raised in NYC and given the fact that we're also latinos, it tasted like a piece of home. The food was delicious and the people were warm and welcoming. The Mangu was great! The pastries and tres leches were light and flavorful. Don't hesitate to stop by because it is truly delicious food. Our go to stop in the Poconos if we ever in the area again!

On our way back from spending a long weekend camping in the Delaware Water Gap, we stumbled upon a cozy looking Colombian restaurant situated near the Poconos. We initially planned to get takeout, but the hosts were so inviting we ended up dining in. The decor, the friendly atmosphere, the music and weather all combined to create the perfect, relaxing ambience. Having traveled to Colombia several times and my wife being from there, it’s been a challenge to find good, authentic food locally - this place hit the mark. They have a full restaurant menu, but also specialize in delicious baked goods, too. We ordered so much, we had leftovers - the owners were very social and the place was family and pet friendly, too! We’ll definitely come back again on our next trip.Communication was good, they are native Spanish speakers but can converse in English just fine and are very welcoming. Don’t let some biased reviews stop you from experiencing a real hidden gem. Our dogs gave it 3 paws up, too! (And they only speak Woof!)Parking: Parking was easy and plentiful right next to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The place was very family oriented and pet friendly, too!

We were spending the day at Shawnee and we were looking to have dinner. As usual I googled places near by. Only a 6 minute drive away from the mountain, it was ideal. Upon arrival the parking lot was well decorated with Christmas ornaments and more than enough parking. We were greeted and sat promptly. Mind you we were a party of 10. The service was attentive and they are bilingual so communication was no issue. We started with the beef “ empanadas “ as an appetizer. They were fresh, warm and delicious. We also ordered hot chocolate, fresh lemonade and a typical hot Colombian drink. All on point. We ordered 2 “ picadas” which is a mix of meats. The picadas were a huge portion enough to share. We also ordered a churrasco and it was juicy and came with 2 side orders. We finished with some coffee and a cappuccino. Over all a great experience by all! Next time we are back in the area we will definitely stop by!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available

We arrived for lunch as a party of 6 without a reservation and were seated immediately. We had some difficulty communicating with our waitress. We tried to order some chips and guacamole, but she told us that they do not do appetizers when it is busy. We ordered the Chicken Breast in Garlic Sauce, Roasted Pork, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Mofongo, and Vegetable Mofongo. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked how the food was coming along. The staff came back to confirm that they were working on our order. 15 minutes later, we finally got our food. The food is pretty expensive, but the serving sizes are pretty big. Unfortunately, all of the meat was overly salty. The garlic sauce was good and some parts of the BBQ ribs were super tender and came off the bone super easy. Definitely not worth the wait though. It was hard to communicate with the staff, we had to wait a long time for the food, and the food was expensive and not very tasty. I would not recommend coming here.

I can’t imagine how anyone could have anything bad to say about this place! My fiance and I were in town for a weekend getaway and this place was our favorite part of the trip! First of all the service was INCREDIBLE. Gina and her mother Teresa were so incredibly authentic and kind and we ended up spending extra time just chit chatting with them as they were such nice people! The bakery is out of this world, we had the coconut bread and it might have been the best desert I’ve ever had. Gina at the front desk was one of the kindest women I’ve ever met, you could tell how eager she was to make sure the customer had the best experience possible and she definitely succeeded with us and left quite an impression. They are the nicest people, use the freshest ingredients, and have the most DELICIOUS food! Alex and Val will definitely be back :)

My family and I visited for breakfast on our way back home from vacation and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing! Their baked goods selection is incredible - try the guava and cream cheese pastry. The owner is great fun and her daughter is so kind and attentive during your meal. The vibe is comfortable and the decor is beautiful. We loved every minute of our visit and would highly recommend this location over all the others visited during our week-long stay. Support local!

Excellent tasting food entrees. The desserts are amazingly fresh and delicious. Plenty of parking, seating, and friendly personal service. My wife and I have gone twice and will definitely dine in again on our next journey up Route 209. Bring a sweater, and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

I usually don’t leave reviews on Google. But I wanted to take my time to do it for this amazing Colombian restaurant.I’m from Ecuador, and finding food that make you feel at home is hard.I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the Bandeja Paisa, Morcilla and Tres Leches. We were visiting the Pocono Mountains area, and found this place. The owner was so welcoming, and she gave my little boy a free pastry, and he was delighted. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend this cozy restaurant that has left the best impression!Hospitable host, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful desserts.I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again.

This place is AMAZING! The daily specials are delicious and such a good price for the amount of food you get (which is a lot), and they are always so fast with their service. They are so sweet and friendly, and the food is incredible. The roasted chicken with rice, beans, and salad is my favorite - juicy, flavorful, and wholesome. The pernil is also incredible! I love grabbing lunch here and ending it with one of their delicious pastries or ice cream. The coconut bread is unbelievable and has become a holiday breakfast tradition for me (but it's fantastic any time). You have to try this place! You will not be disappointed!

This place is amazing! This family own restaurant has the most tasty food. Everything is bake and cook fresh. The owner is so detailed and caring toward her customers. We had most of her pastries ( guava, pineapple) shrimps, tilapia and her fresh coffee. If you are in the Pocono mountains, PA stop by. You will not regret. Thank you, for your amazing service!

My husband and I spent two days in the Poconos and this was a spot we definitely wanted to try as we love Colombian food. The location is very nice, we had lunch on the outdoor patio. There was a bit of waiting time but probably because times are long for paella Valenciana . I definitely loved the food , the paella was delicious. My husband got the churrasco which was not bad. Coffee was nice too and they also sell a few items inside from Colombia such as cups and clothing. I didn’t have the opportunity of tasting one of their desserts but they actually looked delicious so I brought two of them home. The lemonades were very nice too! Overall, I really recommend this place, loved the atmosphere, the staff is amazing and friendly and food is good.

When I found out there was a latin restaurant near our resort, I got so excited. Gina was our server. She was very sweet and kind. The food was amazing! It's so hard to find authentic latin food. The mofongo with shrimp was perfectly made and the guacamole with plantain chips was delicious. I'm so happy we found this family owned restaurant.

Everything about this place was great. From the food and to the service. The food tasted and looked very good. The service was great as well. The lady at the front was making me and my family laugh. You should definitely come here if you want great Colombian/ Dominican food. Me and my family are definitely coming back if we visit Pennsylvania again.

Pocono Cafe was awesome. Who knew that a quick Poconos romantic getaway would also have some really great Colombian yummies! The coffee was great, the baked things were yummy, the Colombian breakfast was perfect. Recommend Chicharrones, the Fried Yucca, the Colombian Breakfast Plate... all good, family style! Not just another roadside egg joint. All of the staff were really sweet and helpful and we'll be coming back next time we're in town.

They are open again!!!! My friend and I both drive from MA and MD and meet in East Stroudsburg twice a year. We so look forward to going back to the Pocono Cafe as much as we can during our 3 day stay. Their coffee is the ABSOLUTE BEST (and I'm a coffee snob) and I will be ordering some to be shipped home! You can't go wrong--we've tried baked goods, appetizers, meals--everything is so delicious and flavorful. It's like a warm hug being greeted by Theresa and her daughter every time we arrive. Please check this out--you won't be sorry!

The Pocono Cafe was the highlight of our trip to the Poconos! They treated us like family in the best way possible. We had breakfast there when we first arrived and then dinner later in the week. We enjoyed so many of their pastries for breakfast each morning that we had to come back for dinner. We got to see them sing happy birthday to another family at dinner and it was truly a celebration. Our toddler had to join in and dance. Delicious authentic Columbian food and baked goods, South American themed Ice Cream flavors, and unmatched personable service is what sets this place apart. Make sure to give them a try when you are in the area.

I wanted to give this spot a try and called in my order. I ordered the garlic shrimp meal. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I got to eat the meal, it was very good. The garlic sauce was tasty and the shrimp was good. I enjoyed the meal and had a good experience.
