Stayed two nights while in town for business and couldn't imagine a better place to stay. As one who is constantly staying in chain hotels, the inn offered a wonderful break. Very friendly staff, the rooms were very clean and adequate. The breakfast is complimentary and better than most paid breakfasts I eat while traveling. The associated restaurant had a simple yet interesting menu, and I can tell you, the burger was insanely good. Can't wait to return during my next trip to Eagles Mere.

We’ve visited Eagles Mere a few times in the Spring and Summer but this was the first time making the trip with the puppy during the fall season. The hospitality that you encounter at the Eagles Mere Inn was unrivaled by anywhere we’ve ever stayed. Every employee that we had the pleasure of interacting with was top notch! Looking forward to our next visit!!!

Recent update tastefully brightened especially restaurant (EaglesMere salad & smokehouse burger were great choice) while retaining historic character of building. Most comfortable B&B bed we've enjoyed for a couple of years in immaculate room: getting up for breakfast could have been a challenge, but the innkeeper's personal service made good meals even better. Every staff member we met was cheerful.

We had a lovely experience! We came to Eagles Mere for the first time, not understanding that the off season is truly quiet. No cars, no people, hardly any other guests at the Inn. Jim the Innkeeper was friendly and welcoming, and we had delicious breakfast each day. We were surprised to find most of the stores and museums etc closed, and it was interesting to learn that most of the houses are unheated summer houses and the residents don't appear until May. Still, it was delightfully quiet. The Inn is really nice, the rooms very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch rocking chairs watching it rain. Thursday evening we had dinner downstairs at the Drinkery, the grilled cheese with bacon and crab is Amazing! I highly recommend visiting here, off season or in season.

Eagles Mere is a slice of Heaven here on Earth and truly needs to be experienced first hand! It is like stepping back in time to a slow paced way of life, total R & R, friendliness and kindness just oozing out of everyone we met! We stayed at the Eagles Mere Inn and it is a beautiful inn! We stayed in the Winter Carnival room in the Garden Cottage. The room is large, very clean, and comfy. The staff was top notch! A round of applause to the staff at the Eagles Mere. We will definitely be returning!

Stumbled upon this place due to complications with booking our cabin... so this was our next option. You pull up and the Inn itself is beyond breath taking and you go inside it is so warm and inviting within a modern twist to a classic look absolutely beautiful beautiful furnishings and decor. Staff is ever warm as well and very welcoming. We got the Flora Villa which is in the back of the inn very quiet and private and we walk in the room and is just as beautiful as the front lobby... Very warm and and extremely clean and accommodating. It as everything you'd need. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and the shower, luxurious and relaxing perfect after a long day. I think this was the best stay in any inn or hotel I ever had. Absolutely will be coming back. Very impressed and statified.

I usually only write reviews when something is exceptionally wrong or exceptionally right - in this case, it was the latter. We had a terrific and memorable weekend at the Inn last September! We’ve driven through Eagles Mere before but never had time to tour around the town (unfortunately). We’re busy parents with chaotic schedules and rarely get away for a couple’s weekend. When we got the chance, we knew we wanted a quiet place where we could disconnect without distraction. Eagles Mere is just that – a rather quiet and quaint town with enough recreation and dining, but far enough from the mainstream. We arrived late on a Friday evening and had just enough time for dinner and drinks on the patio under the heated tent, which was a welcoming environment to enjoy pub wings and the portobello melt. After dinner, we turned in to the Raymond suite, located in the Garden House, an annex which consists of four or five guest rooms. Although we later had an opportunity to tour throughout the Inn’s other rooms (as we planned a subsequent stay), we especially liked the Garden House due to its direct access and outdoor seating (though we often found ourselves sitting in the rockers on the front porch). The next day, we had a delicious breakfast in the Inn’s dining room before traveling to Worlds End State Park, Forksville, and Laporte (all within an easy drive). On the way back, we had lunch at The Barn, which was very good. We returned to town in the afternoon and toured through the EM Museum after a walk around the picturesque lake. I highly recommend visiting the Museum – its display of Eagles Mere’s history was professional and informational. Later that day, we enjoyed some snacks from the Sweet Shop and the Country Store. In the evening, we had dinner in Muncy Valley and returned to the Inn’s porch for stargazing in the clear sky. We had another fantastic breakfast the following day before playing a board game in the Inn’s sitting room prior to our departure. We were sad to leave. We loved EMI and the surrounding area so much that we’ve cancelled our traditional summer beach vacation so we can visit Eagles Mere again. We’re excited to experience the lake with the whole family next summer. It’s evident that Jim is dedicated to the Inn’s operation and its longevity. He and his team have worked diligently to modernize EMI while keeping its character and integrity. It’s renovated and decorated in a casual, comfortable, but discerning manner yet still feels like home. If you’re looking to disconnect from technology and reconnect with those who matter most, Eagles Mere should be top on your list of places to visit. Can’t wait to return!

This is such a lovely bed and breakfast, set in the most charming little lakefront town. I spent 4 nights in the Crestmont Room and it was quite comfortable. The staff at the Eagles Mere Inn were so kind and helpful. The food was amazing! The bartender concocted wonderful cocktails. Two thumbs up!

Richard was so helpful in everything he did. My son is in a wheelchair and there was a lift he used to help my son to be able to dine in the downstairs dining area. The room was vet nice and cozy and the bathroom extra large to accommodate my sons chair. I came to Eagles Mere to visit my friends, Tom and Barbara Graff who had received a Labrador Retriever from me. We really enjoyed ourselves and the area is so well taken care of. Thank you Richard for making our stay at Eagles Mere Inn one we won't forget. ❤❤❤❤❤

If you wanna really get away from your busy everyday life, this is your getaway ticket. You won't find a mall, an overpriced henna tattoo parlor, or a boardwalk here in eagles mere. You will find a beautiful lake, some of the most breath taking hiking views, and some peace and serenity. The eagles mere inn is a cute, cleanly, and extraordinary place to stay while on your getaway. I couldn't say enough great things about the owners and how perfect they run this inn. If you do stay here, (which I don't know why you would pick anywhere else) be sure to make a reservation and have dinner here!! I was completely blown away by how incredible the food was! Breakfast AND dinner. Everything is homemade and the flavor profiles are out of this world! I have thought about making the hour drive just to go get dinner there ever since I came back! Truly an amazing experience, definitely will be back soon!

If you want a relaxing, peaceful, cozy place to stay, this is it! My husband and I stayed here over the weekend and had a wonderful stay. Richard, the innkeeper, was so welcoming and accommodating. Our room was clean and cozy. We spent hours in the lobby sitting area reading in front of the fireplace. The dinner was excellent! Very impressed. Will be staying again!

The service and atmosphere are very nice. The scallops wrapped in bacon was mediocre, the bacon was barely cooked and not a good texture. The career salad was good and the burger was decent as well, although we asked for it to be cooked medium and it was cooked through. Also, the portions are fairly small. Overall a good meal but not amazing.

We love Eagles Mere Inn. Went there last year. Great Inn, atmosphere food and the management staff is the best. Coming back again this year for a repeat stay.Rooms: The rooms are all nicely decoratedNearby activities: Lots of walking around the town plus there is a sweet shop, very big bookstore and walking trails on the outskirts of townWalkability: You can walk to just about any item of interest from the Eagles Mere Inn.

Great quaint location. Even though I didn't stay at the Inn (was there for a gig) I immediately fell in love with its charm. More of a bed and breakfast, has small individually decorated rooms, downstairs dining with bar, and a tea/coffee nook. The porch is great for relaxing and is. Short 3-5 minute walk to the lake. Of you want a quiet getaway with picturesque views, this is the place.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at this beautiful and historic Inn here in Eagles Mere! We arrived late and our envelope was at the desk with perfect instructions as to where our room was and when we could get breakfast the next day. They even offered to make us food if we got up late! The room was nice, it really felt like being in a cozy home. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom and the breakfast the next day was amazing. This is a lovely spot and well worth it to stay here and enjoy some country living!

I have had the pleasure of eating here a few times in the past month. I can honestly say there is no place in the area that comes close to the culinary experience you will receive at the inn. The pub menu is swanky yet casual and the 1887 menu, served in the formal dining room, is beyond anything you will find locally. The bar is fully stocked with a wide array of liquors and a very nice selection of wines and beers. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and the chef and his staff are amazing. I highly recommend giving the Inn a try!

Everything about the Inn was fabulous. We started with drinks and appetizers to share. Plenty of food. Not small portions. We then ordered our main course and it was prepared and plated perfectly. The wait staff was attentive but not overwhelming. We will definitely be going back.

Eagles Mere Inn has been a delight. The building and landscaping is beautiful and comforting. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We've very much enjoyed our time. The only two things that were a downside were the copper tasting hard water and the (free) WiFi coverage.Overall I would stay there again and recommend others do as well.

We had a great experience at the Inn in July. We were always Crestmont goers and with that closed we went with the Inn and really had a great stay top to bottom. We live over 3 hours from the Mere and always enjoy the pretty drive through some of the most beautiful PA country to get there. Breakfast was really good. Place just has a really cool old school feel while staying contemporary.

Great affordable Inn...Nice accommodations, great owner and a real breakfast... I found my new favorite place to stay when photographing in World's End State Park... The food at the Inn is delicious, and while ordinary sounding...it has a distinctive "Bam" by the chef.Richard, the owner, goes out his way to be helpful. The town is small but the hearts of the people are as big as the night sky. Kudos to the town for minimizing light pollution and making enjoying the night sky possible from the surrounding hills...and even when in town.

The Inn was nice enough. Restaurant, bar area service are constrained as a result of coronavirus, but they do manage to feed guests which is necessary as there is virtually nothing to do/nowhere to go in the town/area in Late September (Kind of like being at a golf course/club in the off season when the clubhouse is closed). Town was interesting for a couple of days in its oddness.

Very nice place. Mostly updated. My husband had a problem with the bed. They offered to move us to a different room, but we were staying 1 more night. But I would say, this is a great place to stay and was dog friendly. My dog Jessie loved it there.

Lovely weekend stay. Food is very good. However, staying in the James Glass room is right above the dining room and kitchen. It was a bit noisy and woke us up during the night and early morning.
