If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! My boyfriend and I made room and dining reservations for the weekend, not knowing what to expect, and we were completely blown away. The accommodations were wonderful, and the inn was so beautifully kept. Hammocks outside and a porch for sitting and drinking coffee. Dinner at the inn was phenomenal! We were overwhelmed with how they perfectly prepared every single dish. Never have I EVER had duck cooked to such perfection. From our appetizers all the way to our dessert, our dining experience was exceptional. A full sit down breakfast was included with our stay, which was lovely. Haven't had someone prepare my eggs over-medium that perfectly in quite some time. This place can do no wrong. Who would've guessed the Crestmont Inn, up in Eagles Mere Pa, would hold such an experience. Will definitely be returning!

More room then a hotel and yet budget friendly. Nice landscape and scenery. Crestmont is up on a hill but it is still walkable to the lake trail for someone used to hiking. Owners were very courteous and easy to talk to if I needed anything. They use a hands-off approach leaving extra towels and things you might need in the common area. Breakfast snacks were waiting in the pantry when we woke up.

My Wife and I have stayed at the Crestmont many times. They Previous Owners are back and running it as a Guest House. We enjoy the Lake and it's beautiful beach. The Eagles Mere Air Museum is worth a trip. It now has a "Muscle Car" Museum for the same Admission. We had Dinner Saturday Night. They serve Salad Bar with Shrimp,Salmon and Chicken for $20 or You can have a Giant Steak dinner for $20. Hope to be back for Fall Foliage , if not sooner. We enjoy visiting Worlds End State Park and touring the area's covered bridges. Big Mike's in Forksville is a great place to eat also.

The inn is very rustic. The rooms are nicely maintained while trying to keep furniture from a different era. A nice common area with ping pong and pool. The dining room was a short walk outside away from the rooms. The inn is a short drive from the town center. There is a nice lake nearby that freezes in the winter and is great during the summer.

The Crestmont Inn is a beautiful location, our stay was recent so I'd love to come during busy season and fully experience the summer beauty of the lake and the area. We only stayed 2 days so we didn't get to walk the entirety of Laurel Path, a trail around the lake, but from what we did walk, it was beautiful. I feel that because it is off-season, customer service could have been better. We realized our hot water ran out in the evening and had to wait to report it the next day bc no one was at the front desk. The Inn was short staffed. We had dinner one night and breakfast one morning and the food was amazing and did not disappoint! Overall it was a great stay and I would love to return!

Stayed in the "Wedding Ring" room to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately we killed 11 flies in the room during our one night stay. Put a damper on our get-a-way weekend! They said "sorry" but it was the season. For the price paid for this room we expected more updated accommodations. The food was good and nice complimentary breakfast.

We love eating here! And for my birthday, the hostess reserved us a special table on the back patio, it was so special; like eating among the trees. The chefs special pierogi appetizer was incredible and service is 5 star. It's not cheap so ask the waitress what is good for sharing etc...and what tastes the best.

My sister and I stayed at the Crestmont this past October. I have waited a bit before posting this review because I feel badly for the owners of the Inn. I have nothing good to say about our stay. The inn is extremely run down. The pictures on the Internet are very misleading and must be at least 10-20 years old. We booked very early and thought we had chosen a delightful room, the French Country Cottage. Everything about the room was old and dilapidated, from the falling off dust ruffle to the falling apart chandelier that was dangling over the bed. The air conditioner was either inefficient or just not working and the towel stuffed between the side of the window and the air conditioner was less than attractive. There were no screens on any of the windows so opening them up was not an option. The decorating style was "Goodwill eclectic". The nasty carpet needs to go. After seeing the room, we asked to move or see other rooms, but none were available. We were looking forward to a lovely B&B style breakfast but it was a diner breakfast at best. No rolls or pastries or jams. Basically a choice of eggs with cold toast with packets of jelly. Oh yes, there were also tiny, thin pancakes. Our evening meals were worse. We left hungry the first night because the portions were very small. We decided to get the cheeseburgers the second night figuring how could we go wrong. The burgers were so burnt, on both sides, that they were inedible. My sister attempted to eat hers but I could not even cut the burnt layer off of mine. The server never came back to check on us so I finally just gave up and ate potato chips back in the room. (They did take the burger of of the bill.)The Jacuzzi tub was so loud, it sounded like it was going to take off and the TV did not work the second night. The young lady who checked us in must have just started. She knew nothing about the area, i.e.the path or direction to the lake, the closest liquor store? (BTW 30 MILES AWAY).The town of Eagles Mere is very quaint and SMALL. One or two gift shops, a book store and a cafe.We came to the area to hike and eventually found our way to the hiking trails and state parks. There is NO PHONE SERVICE in the area so getting around and finding anything is challenging. Once we found the hiking trails, they were beautiful! If you want to escape civilization, Eagles Mere is the place to go. Prior to leaving the area we did find another B&B that had recently been renovated. It looked very nice. Hopefully the owners of the Crestmont Inn will be able to do some restoration. It looks as though the Inn was lovely at one time. At least tidy up the grounds and do a bit of fall decorating to make it a bit more inviting.

I vacationed here almost yearly for nearly 25 years. Returned this past Sunday for dinner. Food was good. Easy disappointed in condition of grounds with large needs in gardens, hazardous walkway to patio where tables needed painted. Our waitress was delightful and willing to serve us outdoors.

The Crestmont Inn was lovely and the servers were very kind. I couldnt in good conscience rate it five star only because our service was a little lacking and we had to keep asking for water etc. That being said, the tables around us appeared to be faring better and our waitress was very sweet. Perhaps she was new. All around the food was good, especially the desserts

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Crestmont B&B. We received a steep discount through a coupon website so despite the fact that it was obviously the off season (December) we thought we'd give the place a try. Did we have a wonderful time? Yes. Were there a few off season setbacks? Yes. Pros: +Staff was very friendly +Inn is full of interesting history and displayed antiques +Food was delicious! +Comfortable Bed +Espresso machine on free-play in the common room Cons: -The hot water heater cut out for our room on the first night we were there -There is no phone in the room to call for assistance for things like no hot water. The public telephone off-hours rings to a recorded message. I was able to find help the next morning but we did miss breakfast the first morning in part because of this problem. -No shower products first night(bath gel, shampoo, etc...). Odd for a room with a whirl pool tub. -In-room electric fireplace didn't seem to be working properly and made a strange noise. -Dinner service staff was friendly but woefully inexperienced. Coupon made the food complimentary but original amount provided for gratuity was ~$50/plate. -WiFi was intermittent due to the modem going into lock down and prompting someone to do a firwmare update. This was a little dissapointing because I had 0 cell service in our room and we were trying to find things to do in the area. Bottom line: We had a wonderful time and enjoyed some steller food. The discount that we received made it possible to overlook the many oddities that we encountered. I would not recommend paying full price in the off season. My wife and I would give this place a try in the summer months when the outdoor areas are open and the staff are on their A-Game.

Great place to stay. We were in the Theresa's Suite and really liked it. Good breakfast, and there is a room with sodas, water, coffee, and snacks for guests staying here. They have a game room with a TV for movies, ping pong, and a pool table.

We stayed at the Crestmont for two nights to see the fall foliage. The Innkeeper Tony and His Wife were delightful. Very relaxing place. Excellent Breakfast. Loved the pancakes. Took a long walk around the Lake. This was our 4Th stay at the Inn but the first with the New Innkeepers. They are Upholding the fine tradtion of the Previos Innkeepers and Improving the Experience!!!

Filet mignon done to perfection. Unique butternut squash risotto was exquisite. Asparagus crisp tender goodness. However, for $31 I would expect better ambience-not plastic placemats, bright lighting & music that kept cutting in & out. We noted on leaving that there is another room with tablecloths so maybe it was because it was during off season.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff , superb food. The Inn itself is in need of repairs and updates. Ceiling over our tub was falling and the bathroom slanted! But the food made the trip worth it!
