This place may not look like much, but their cheesesteak stacks up well against just about any I’ve had, and this coming from someone who lived in Philadelphia. It was delicious! The roll is fantastic and beef perfectly seasoned and juicy. The side of fries were golden brown and fresh, and we topped off our meal with a piece of the apple cobbler pie which, served cold, was phenomenal.

Got there about 3pm, no waitresses yet. Bartender ran over asked us what we wanted for drinks ran baway brought drinks out told him we would like to order he said wait gotta go ring out the bar flies came back took out order. Brought food out cheese steak sub ok I had black Angus beef burger I didnt taste line it more a Boughton patty from Sams club, asked medium well was pink in side, I wasnt impressed never go back

On a car cruise around PA. Found reviews online and decided to try for lunch. We were skeptical on arrival but decided to give it a try. It's a really dated bar/tavern that many locals frequent. Upon entry we found a few folks at the bar and everyone was friendly. By the time we left, the place was packed and not an open seat to be found (it was trivia day). Our lunch was really good, excellent burgers! Eight of us tried various menu items and everyone was happy with their meal.

My girlfriend and I were up at Northern Sportsman Association for the Annual PA State SASS Championship Shooting Match and we were looking for a place to eat dinner on Sunday evening. I found the Barn on Google and called to find out if they were open. The place has great service and the food was fabulous and at a good price. Next we are back up in this area we will be back here to eat

Fun pub with traditional bar food menu with a few twists. Try the long hots or the fried Ba man peppers! They also have a pool table, ring toss, darts, and gambling. Beer selection is a bit lacking, but the food and service were great.

Where in northern PA will you meet an owner who will drive to Philly to purchase his rolls and specific beef for his own Philly Cheesesteaks?? Commitment to perfection takes my 5 stars. It was great to give kudos to the bartender for good food and heard a thank you next door from the chef who was enjoying a drunk unaware that she cooked our best meals for last of the evening. This place takes my favorite cheesesteak rating I’ve ever had

Currently doing a loop to travel around PA and see all the sights of PA. Me and my gf stopped in to grab some dinner before traveling again.The staff was friendly and quick, the food was delicious. Probably one of the best stops we've had yet! They had a multitude of drink options and it was such a nice atmosphere to relax and grab a bite in.Their barn burger was amazing and very well done! Had toppings of Sautéed onion, peppers, mushrooms, and bacon. All on a Angus burger!The mac and cheese bites were cooked so well. The insides were soft and hot while the outside was crispy and warm to the touch. Perfect handheld size.Lastly we got the hot dog they serve there and it was one of the best. I do wish there was more toppings on it but the fact they cut it the way they did made it so much better.Overall great experience and if I ever travel around the area again I will be stopping back in!

We had an amazing meal! The barn burger was outstanding, cooked to perfection. The chicken cheese steak was loaded with flavor. My son loved his cheeseburger. The waitress was so good and friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back!!!

Great little local tavern. The food is surprisingly good. I had a flat iron steak salad and the steak was cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Brenda, was excellent. We had 13 people and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Brenda knew who had ordered what.There was a storm and we lost power for a short time, but the brought lanterns to the table and never skipped a beat.We had a great time, good food and beer and we will definitely be back next year

This is what tavern/bar food should be. They do about three things, but they are really good. Their cheese steaks are the best I have had outside of Philly. If you even remotely like cheese steaks do yourself a favor and order one, that is what they do best. If you are looking to grab a beer and a bite to eat this place fits that role perfectly. If you are looking for fine dining (you probably wouldn't be on a state route in rural northwest Pennsylvania) this isn't it, nor is it trying to be fine dining. This is a tavern with a small menu of bar food that will exceed your expectations. If you still need an idea of the general vibe they have a working cigarette vending machine and stuffed bears (plural). I will note that while this is a bar their small dining room is family friendly. You can absolutely take the kids here during dinner or lunch, it isn't a bar to the extent that you can't have a family meal. There are maybe five places to eat in this area (and they are surprisingly good usually) so if you are at the state park or staying locally you should stop in.

When I am up I go on Thursday nights great meatloaf. We went Friday and Saturday. Had their special steak very good. Saturday I had the special again lasagna very good. The waitresses are always very nice. We went late Friday night it was crowded but still got a table. Had to wait longer than usual but you have to expect that when the dining room is full. Saturday we went early and were in and out. Have not had a bad dinner.

Stopped in here hoping for a place to eat some food and have a drink. On thanksgiving day. When I walked in, past the pay phone and cigarette vending machine, and Alana Dangle, a sorry excuse for an employee said over the 30+ people eating there, “We are closed!” What if the native Americans had said that to the pilgrims?I would have paid $100 for 2 meals and a beer. Alana did me a favor.The place looked filthy dirty and inbred anyways. Im glad I left.It’s not like anyone would ever stop here aside from first cousins out on a date, but if you are thinking of stopping here, don’t. The only things worse than the environs was the caliber of persons that do patronize this establishment and possibly the possum stew they serve up.

Visited The Barn while in a weekend away. It was recommended by some others that we ran into in town. The food was great. And they didn’t mind my pickiness and modification to The Barn Fries! They were amazing!!!Beers were awesome and bartender was so friendly and generous in helping us build the ring toss game. Definitely want to figure out how to make one of these!Highly recommend this establishment!

Stopped here for lunch after hiking World's End Park. Around 2. Suggested by park rangers. This was actually our first meal out since the pandemic started. Plenty of room to sit. Waitress was nice, very good service. We had a hamburger and a fruit and nut salad with chilli. All were very good. Really hit the spot after hiking.
