Growing up in Duquesne, Schinks was and still remains a family owned and ran hardware store. They literally have anything you made need from garden supplies to being able to get copies of your keys and so much more, too much to list. You also will find from time through the years the Schinks supporting fellow businesses throughout the monvalley. We were just down there a week ago and our 19yr old purchased 'Rockys BBQ Pit' sauce. He bought the hot sauce one, I believe from the label it's from McKeesport. And our family gives it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.As well as Schinks hardware store ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Its an old mom and pop hardware store family owned and run. Service is excellent as you would expect in a mom and pop. These guys know what they are talking about and can help get you the right item the first time. They deal with each customer one on one and guide or even walk with you to help insure you get the right item. I definitely recommend visiting them before a big box store. Seriously their prices are competitive and in some cases even better than big box. Support your local mom and pop, they appreciate you more the others ever will.

Great place. It was my first time at this place. They helped me find the right fuse that I needed and showed me that there was a circuit fuse. If the circuit tripped all I have to do is push the button and everything is back on. I was very impressed with Schink's hardware. I will definitely keep going there.

They have everything. You won't find it yourself, but just ask the employees and they will take you to the product or get it themselves. I have been going there for at least40 years. GREAT family owned store

Great hardware store. They have almost everything you need for your home. I was able to find the right fuses I need. The gentleman that helped me informed me about a circuit fuse. I was very impressed with this place.

Great place to go for any of your hardware needs...Old time hardware store that is THE place to go, especially for hard to find items... The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable! This place is a gem and I hope it stays around forever!

Schink's is my favorite hardware store. It is open early at 8:30 am and stays open until 5:30 pm. The owner and employees are very knowledgeable and polite. They always ask you if they can help you when you enter the store. I have never had them tell me they could not help me or did not have what I needed. Also their prices are very competitive. Schink's is my goto store for hard to find items. Kronos to SCHINK'S!!

This Place is and has been a true Hometown Hardware Store! You are greeted when you walk in and help is always there if you need it. If you are looking for something Rare, Old or Impossible to Find! They probably have a part for it, or New Old Stock! The Show room is only a fraction of what they have. They even have New Old Stock for Gas Lights. I love this place! I'm 4th Generation shopping here. Support your local Family hardware store.

Great old-timey hardware store. If you need someone quick and want to get in and out quickly, this is the place. What you also get are knowledgeable people who can tell you where every item is located. They often can help you when you describe a problem, they can often offer a solution. They also do key cutting and have many conveniences that only a neighborhood, small hardware store can offer.

They, like 11 other stores, and the internet, didn't have the $26 brand new part that I needed, because the parts been out of manufacture for at least 20 years,so they fixed the old one for $3.12It's 4X bigger than it looks from the Main Street.They have thousands of things that the big box stores don't have.

Needed parts for a faucet leak that turned into a bit of a project. I needed to parts to be able to turn my water back on and Lowe's didn't have them. Luckily I found Schink's. Staff told me which stems needed replaced and which just needed new washers/ o-rings. Easily could have charged me an additional $45 and I still would have given a 5*rating. Will definitely return.

Grew up in Duquesne...Schink's is the BEST hardware store! It's like going back in time when you walk in their store! It's a family-owned business still. You can go in there & ask any worker for some random item like "JT21 - 5/16"- 8mm Staples for my staple gun" and they will walk you right to the aisle & point to the EXACT hook where they are hanging! ...And they have a lot of stuff in that store! You can buy chicken wire by the foot and get your screens re-screened by them! They still manually cut keys. They will always give you good advice on how to complete your project. They are friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable and all around good folks to deal with! Give them your business!!😉

I have lived and shopped at Shinks hardware store all of my life. I am very upset with my last visit. I was treated with very cold attitudes and a lack of willingness to help me. I am disappointed and appalled by the way I was treated and will not go back their!

I love the convince of this place but it is almost like the owners don't want people in there they don't want you to look around they want you to go in tell them what you need and have the women keep her eyes on you while she smokes a pack of cigarettes and the men go get what you need
