I've always had a good experience here every time I've gone.... Everyone I've come across has been friendly, kind, and helpful... There's always a great selection of products and being able to pick out what you need is a huge help... Being set up like a little supermarket is better in my opinion than having bags all ready just to take not really knowing what you have... I have only positive things to say and would like to say I appreciate all the workers for taking their time to help those in need.... It's helped me so much having this close to my home and the friendly atmosphere helps the experience be so much easier..... Thank you.... Keep up the great work!

This food bank can be a wonderful place for those in need WHEN THEY ARE OPEN TO SERVE. I walked there and a sign was posted that they were closed until 1 pm.. this was at 11 in the morning. Went back at 3:30 only to be turned away while they were open and food was there to be given! That was a waste and extremely disappointing!

I recommend anybody has transportation stop by the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank the staff was fabulous and assisted me. No fault on my own I got laid off from work and having trouble getting food stamps and unemployment started. Food stamps should be coming soon. Unemployment I need assistance from the unemployment agency. The place has canned goods, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries if available, bread milk eggs and at this time they only had ground beef or turkey log ground. It's worth taking a venture over there. you can get all you need. Take advantage of it when you have the opportunity. That's my advice to the General Public. I fell ashamed going to the food bank cuz I felt like I was at my lowest point in my life but they helped me pick myself up and made me a better person appreciate all the donations that companies contribute to the food bank without them a lot of us will go to bed hungry at night thanks to all the volunteers and donations that people give I for myself appreciate it thank you America.

So far I haven't been there. I've tried so hard but I'm a single parent and I can't afford to take off even one day to go there. Just wish that some food banks offered later hrs for people who can't get there either cause of their job or good transportation, Ubers are expensive when your struggling. Hopefully sometime I'll get there. I could sure use the help

Very nice has a good variety to choose from. Just make sure you get there at a good time so no one has to wait past the close time. It's nice to be considerate that way especially since they are there to help in their free time.I was able to get a good amount of breads and even a couple treats like sandwiches along with mini pastries.

I wanted to volunteer on my birthday, so I emailed the volunteer coordinator to help me find a volunteer opportunity on that day. They were very kind to let me come in the morning to help pack food boxes for seniors. The process was easy to follow and very efficient. I was in charged of putting canned beef into the boxese from 9am to 12noon. It was tiring, boxes kept on coming to me!! But I feel good that seniors in the community will have a box of food and won't starve. I hope to come back here and volunteer again in the future!

Like the saying never meet your heroes I think people should take a deep look how they operate i am one of many drivers who delivered here believe me when i say me or anyone from my company is never coming here to deliver ever again i am putting this companies load on black list they might look like a charity as a front but people working here are worse than you’d expect , they are pretty quick for unloading but there’s a hidden charge you might have to pay so delivery drivers be careful and Cautious when delivering here they’ll get you one way or other and for the people who come here to shop you are not getting what you think , this place is nothing but a tax benefit scam and sorry but someone had to say it .

Always closed. Open only 2hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. I can't get a car when it is open. Web site says it is open much longer. I keep wasting time and gas only to find out they are not open. Won't be going back. It was much better before they built this Indore market.

Wonderful place to Volunteer for. Polite and supportive staff takes you through the process and treats you with respect and encouragement, never losing focus on the volunteerism of your position. Will definitely work in their warehouse again.

My only issue is that they shouldn't make everyone stand outside in freezing cold winter weather waiting to receive food. Some people were in wheelchairs, others on oxygen and others just plain cold and needing food. They supplied hot chocolate and were nice, however, the building is large enough to let people stand inside out of the cold to wait. Someone did have a heart and let us is around 10 minutes beforehand for which I was very grateful.

The place is currently under heavy construction, but other than that whoever dealt with me that day were very friendly and the goods were all fresh, except the carrots that were in need of going into the refrigerator right away. The fish sticks were the best fish sticks that I have ever had. Their fish sticks are even better than the store bought ones.

It's great when you're short on cash and you need food.The only thing I recommend they don't do is freeze their produce. Because once I got it home after it was frozen it was bad within a day or two.
