Always a treat coming here. Go early or during the week to avoid crowds. Great for organic/vegan/GF items, bulk items, canned goods, and non perishables.

Vegan market ??? I feel like i just crossed the border into South America!! WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL THE white workers?? OPPS WAIT! There are NONE!! Some of the prices are good especially on bulk spices and fruit. Thats if the fruit isnt spoiled.. I would not buy any meat from here.. Questionable sanitation conditions..

There are some great deals to be had here but that being said....watch the experation dates. This is my second time in about a year that I stopped. This time there were a lot of exceptable/non expired dates on many products. A large variety of items are found in this store, just like you would find at your local Walmart. Always crowded, so be ready for a few rounds of number karts.

Great grocery store. Doesn't look like one on the outside, but it has a bunch of canned food, dry goods, and other things. They apparently get overstock from the big box places, so they can afford to sell at a discount. Wish I knew about this month's ago.

Although this place has good customer service and a good variety of products, they need to check dates. We had a delivery close to this place so went in for items quickly. We spent about $60 for items. I was very happy till we went to eat some of this stuff. We found that more then half of it was expired. Of course we had to throw it out and stop somewhere else to buy more stuff. It was a waist of money and time. We won't be visiting this place again unless I have time to check the date on every item I buy.

B&r discount has a little bit of everything for your entire needs. The prices are awesome and the employees are very helpful and very courteous. It's worth your time to stop in and look because I'm sure there's many things you'll find that you actually need!

This place does not seem to be at all related to the P&R That was an Archibald. The price is here are very high and the selection is very small. Do not waste your time to drive there This has no comparison to the old P&R...

This is a small version of the P&R that closed in Eynon due to water damage. They have food, clothes, cleaning supplies, paper products and home decorations. There is a nice parking lot and a handicap entrance. It is very clean and the workers are friendly and helpful. I have difficulty seeing so they helped me to the car carrying my packages! There were some nice bargains. I bought a brand name mayonnaise "buy one get 2 more". Large rolls of plastic bags 3 rolls for $5 for one size and 2 rolls for $5 for the other. Cereal brand names on sale at a great price. Check it out before you try the expensive stores, you will save money.

LOVE this place! There are different things there every time. You cannot go expecting to find the same things every time. But there is no better place to find unusual groceries. Gluten-free, unusual baking needs Etc can all be found here. They have a lot of organic Foods for very inexpensive! And anything you could possibly want/need for a baby or child. The prices are amazing!

This place is really tough to rate. One day it could easily be a 5 star. Yet on others it could just as swiftly be a 2 star. Prices are always great on the majority of their items. Lots of organic options are also a great addition. The drawbacks would be that you MUST check expiration dates as many of the products are approaching or passed expiry. Also the "wonderful selections" are very unpredictable. Some days they are fully stocked with tons of great offerings yet other days they appear to be "picked clean". My recommendation is to go earlier in the day and later in the week. My family tends to have the best luck doing so. Bottom line though is that there aren't very many grocery stores you can mound your shopping cart over the top for two hundred dollars.

Love it here. Prices are always great and tons of health food whether you are looking for keto diet things, gluten free, or other healthy choices they have it. It is a discount store so yes boxes may be damaged etc. So be careful as what you buy and a huge thing is to allow time to shop here as you will have to check best buy dates and remember some things have longer shelf life than best buy date. This is a store where you can pile it with food and spend under $100 which for a single dad with 3 kids that is huge...heck for anyone that is huge..I mean the prices remind me of prices in 1980's.

Great prices, friendly cashiers, the store has a wide selection of unknown brands and food. Love the fact it's a discount store. Just one fault, too small a space for too many shoppers. I'm not comfortable in crowds. P&R should move the store to the old Burlington Coats building. Larger space and lots more parking. Otherwise a great place to shop.

If you're looking for the P&R that was in Dickson City or Edwardsville, I'll save you some time. This is nothing like either of those stores. They sell some similar items but prices are near retail and the selection is pathetic. It was explained to me that there were 2 partners and this must be the other partner. So basically nothing you liked about P&R. No natural or organic food, no gluten free, no real discounts, and imo, no reason to go here. I haven't walked out of a store so quickly without buying anything in awhile.

Clean, well lit with a friendly staff. Wide variety if items, including some cookware and kids clothing. I can sometimes find items that have been discontinued or are no longer stocked at my local stores. Because it is a discount store, handling items that have been cleared from the shelves of major chains, you may not find exactly what you are looking for. However you may find things you didn't even realize you wanted or needed. It's worth checking out, if you're in the area.

Good deals, but quite a lot of the food is either near the expiration date ir well past it. Can't say how many times I bought food items and only thought to check the date after finding the food tasted off. Five yogurts for a dollar seems like a great deal until you see it's a month past the sell by date.

Love this store! You have to check expiration dates, but other than that, lots of vegan options for super cheap! We found Vegenaise for less than $2, and it wasn’t expiring for a few more months. Most of the vegan and skincare products are still good for months! I seriously can’t complain.

Oddities are found here for sure! ALOT of organic, vegan snack foods. Deli, frozen area, and fresh vegetables & fruit (limited tho). It's a good find. Update: I have purchased meats here. The texture of the hamburger was horrible. I have purchased chicken breast cutlets, they were fine. Last time I was there I checked the dates on the meats. they're all dated for that day. So unless you're going to cook it on that day, I would not recommend purchasing. I purchased a pack of chicken wings that were dated two days to expiration. It was my intent to go home and make them that evening. They were already expired. 🤢. Please check the dates on EVERYTHING that you purchase from there! It's not a great deal if it's expired and you have to throw it away!

First time going and will definitely be going back. Amazing food selection and even better prices. I would have paid at least $50 for what I got somewhere else and got it all for under $25! Staff was great and helpful, appreciated that the staff was taking good safety precautions. Love this store!

Great prices on most things, many BOGOs. I hauled grocery items from many packets and KNOW pull dates on canned goods don't mean anything..

First time here and wow! A vegan/vegetarian dream! Prices are fantastic and lots to choose from. Expiration dates are still decent from time of purchase but do watch them. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because produce is very underwhelming. Although I did score a great deal on bananas.Definitely a must go to market if you're on a budget. You won't be disappointed.

The shelf stable food is great, a lot of organic and gluten free selections. Have bought items at 90% off of what other retailers would have charged. This place is like a treasure hunt and it's a fun place to shop, because you always discover new products. Having to check the expiration dates is worth the discount.

Really liked my first ever stop here! Seems to have the best elements of several of my favoritePA-thrifty style stores. Low prices,(sometimes 50% lower than the others I shop!) great staff, and eclectic stock (asparagus chips, anyone??) plus great FREE THINGS situated here and there ( pea-based drink? Fresh baby carrots?) I will definitely be back here. . . SOON.

Employees are some of the most diligent workers I have ever experienced. They are very gracious and customer oriented. I am not sure how well they're treated as essential workers. That said, the prices have changed to reflect a higher profit margin for overstocked and marginal date limits for groceries and merchandise. Except for a few weekly specials, and close out items the prices are too high for what they are. A shopper would do better, purchasing at Walmart for a little more and insure fresher groceries and extended shelf life. Observe the price in relation to the shelf life.

I depend on this store for our families needs. It can be a little overwhelming navigating the aisles and the ever changing stock but for the most part I usually find the items I need. I do need to shop elsewhere for meat and produce since they don't supply everything I need at times or stock runs out. You need to be mindful of the dates of expiration and if you are conscientious of prices, there are items you definitely can find cheaper somewhere else. Not everything is discounted as they claim.

Great deals but need to use your judgement as some stuff is the same price as regular store. Also Ned to look at dates as some perishables should not be risked. Other than that it's a great place to dance money on food. Certain things like condiments and sauces are very good prices.

This is a magical discount Mecca of surprises!!! Seriously I don't know how I lived before he found this store. The prices are amazing and it has vegan natural and gluten-free products that would cost 10 times as much in the store. Watch your dates on fresh foods

Love this store. Let me clarify what other users have said..this is a second hand food store. They pull organic and diet restriction foods from other stores such as whole foods or Wegmans right before they go bad (a few days to a week and a half for fresh foods and a few weeks to a month or so for dry foods). This store is not trying to be a regular grocery store. It is for people who would like to purchase healthier options but cannot afford to at full price. My husband and I shop here each week and have never been sick from the food because we check dates on the packaging and freeze fresh ingredients if we can't use them right away. Yes it is a little run down but it is always staffed with smiling helpful people, you cannot beat the prices ANYWHERE. (organic cage free eggs for $1 and organic milk that is a week before going bad for 99¢) we even purchase steaks here for $5 or less and freeze them or cook them immediately. We are grateful to be able to get healthy and organic foods at a fraction of the cost.

I went on a Saturday which is probably a bad idea because it was waaaayyyy too crowded. And the store is not designed to handle crowds. I had to park my cart several times and try to squeeze by people to get what i needed. HOWEVER, they had a great variety of organic and regular food for really great prices. I will definitely go there again (maybe on a Tuesday instead, lol). There were a few things that appeared to be prices a little high but if you know prices well, it shouldn't be an issue :)

Great store if you like buying eggs 2 days past sell by date, cereal you have to eat within 3 days. Nice growing plants, oh wait that was the bacteria growing on food. But on a lighter note if you're looking to buy items where you think expiration dates don't matter and you're not worried about salmonella and possibly throwing up, this is a good place to save a buck. But on the other hand you might be spending more than that dollar you saved after being sick as a dog in the emergency room. Just my opinion.4/16/19My wife made me go back. Although I maintain my thoughts about their food items I will have to admit that their bakery was pretty good for what it is. My wife is a vegetarian and found quite a few things that she's happy with; moreso than stuff bought from higher end stores. Just watch the dates and you'll be fine.
