This used to be a beautiful store, but it feels rather dumpy these days. A lot of shelves are empty and it just looks fairly worn and dirty in general. On a better note, the staff I encountered were very kind and considerate. I was in an aisle and as I was exiting they were stocking shelves and were expressing concern that they might be in my way. Way too often staff don't even look up when a customer is encountered. These ladies were very kind and friendly. If it were not for the earlier problems I mentioned this would be a regular stop for me. The kitchen section with the plates and glasses and such is nicely stocked and has some things that are very nice.

They have really nice things for the price, but during the Christmas season could they possibly open at least one more of their four registers? The one endless line for the one open register consists of either people with whole carts full of stuff, or people with one or two things. Wouldn’t an Express Lane make sense? People are willing to work for holiday $…please hire some!!!

Needs a good clean employees are good but always understaffed and bare aisles especially towards the back of the store need to be stocked. Prefer the wilkes barre or eynon stores to this one

A little bit of everything, even their own brands. Can find some great deals here. Prices seem to have gone up in the past few years compared to other discount stores. But in general you can save some money by shopping on certain items here.

The store staff is friendly and nice, I was greeted with a friendly hello. The staff made my experience great by them having a great sense of humor and joking around with me. There were two gentlemen in particular who went out of their way to assist me including getting a blanket from a higher shelf for me.

I'm in Love with the Queen size bedroom suit and this new mattress that felt like I was laying on a hugh white fluffy cloud I'm in love with it and can't wait for the bes5 sleep ever

I was there on 5/27 to pick up an outdoor sofa. Everyone was courteous. The woman that assisted me in loading it into my SUV was very helpful and kind. I really appreciated everyone's patience considering it was a holiday weekend. Overall it was a great experience, and they had a variety of furniture. My 5 star rating is based on customer service.

Not a bad store with a wide variety of merchandise. Friendly staff. No major issues with this store, but I have heard merchandise is out of stock since covid and prices seem a bit higher. Worth a stop

I love shopping in this store because they are very reasonable, especially on seasonal items,. cashiers are very friendly, especially Kim, but I have one complaint about one gentleman, I believe he's in charge of furniture, he's very rude & lazy!! Everyone else is very pleasant...Last year I had purchased a pool and chairs, while I was struggling, he was leaning against the wall smoking his cigarette,after I had everything in the car, he asked me. I guess there's always one bad egg 🥚Other than that I love Big lots 💖

Blah...they had some clearance candles that were under 5 bucks. Dirty and just blahhh. The employees are ok tho:) I tried to get around some employees and they do not move. Kind felt like I was in the twilight zone. I had some guy following me around. In store security I assume. That was interesting. I darted in and out of isles just to keep him busy😆

Things seem so crowded in here. The isles are tiny, the doors walking in and out are super narrow and everything just looks squished. Its not all that organized and honestly today seemed to be pretty empty with items that should typically be pretty stocked. Prices are fair and items are good quality from what I saw. Staff seemed to be kind and courteous. This store is just way too packed in a tiny place.

Prices are great for the most part. Store is near and orderly. The only issue I ever have there, is due to a lack of importance placed upon customer service.Even management, in most places as of the last 4 years, has lacked the absolute importance, in making a customer feel comfortable and generally all around pleased in their shopping, dining, etc., experience.Big Lots and the many Dollar store variations, seem to have suffered most in this area.We ARE the success of downfall of their businesses, jobs, paycheck, etc.. I just don't get how the customer being right concept has been so unacceptably thrown out.There are Some who still go above and beyond. But it is few and far between.

One of my favorite places to shop whenever I get over to Dunmore. They always have great deals and the staff are always helpful. I scored a knife set on sale for $15 just the other day. They have great discounts if you look for them.

I got into a sticky situation because the online quantity for a couch didn't match what the store had in stock, and of course a snowstorm was on its way. But the manager, and all of the employees I interacted with, made an effort to do what was in their power, and they were pleasant. Nice discount store!

Love Love LOVE BIG LOTS!!!! So many great deals with amazing prices! I stopped in the spur of the moment and found so many good deals that I just couldn't pass them up! Tell me where you can buy a 175 oz. Bottle of Arm and Hammer for 6.80?!!! Nowhere but here! Don't walk...RUN and grab some deals for yourself!

Liam (mgr) and Devon (floor sales) were great with our recent visit / purchases. My wife and I rented a $300 UHAUL truck and drove over 200 miles based on Liam's word and pre-visit helpfulness. Devon was aware in advance of our arrival and took time from his busy schedule to personally assist with additional sales questions and items loading from back dock. Other staff (young lady) jumped right in to assist without requesting. GREAT STAFF👍Highly recommend.

I don't shop here or the one by Keyser. These people are not polite to people like me. I really don't write review base on race, because someone can just have a bad day. I have given them more than enough opportunities to redeem themselves, but I the feeling of you don't belong and it's not in my head. It asking a simple question and the reply is rude as if I was imposing.

I personally love big lots. They always have a great selection of items that are inexpensive. The store decor is a hit outdated they can use a remodel. Staff has always been pleasant with me. Big parking area & separate bathrooms. ( Not always very clean but functional) I recommend giving it a try ur sure to find something u like at big lots !
