This is the sweetest mom-and-pops shop. It’s local, it’s small, it’s personal. It does not have a large variety of items, or long hours of availability, but the personal connection provided by both sweet owners is irreplaceable! I personally think that they offer hight quality products (compared to some of the chain stores) as well as affordable options and sensible prices.

Stopped in to try and support a local business but was absolutely shocked by what I saw. There were so many dead and decaying fish that were covered in white fuzz in a majority of their tanks. In one tank there were even fish bones and the tanks looked like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. The fish did not look in great shape either. I’ll stick with my petco fish for now.

By far the best local pet shop to shop at. Don't overspend on crickets and mice. Uncle Ben's has the best prices. Also, some great live fishing bait. Last week, he had an axolotal, which was so fun and unique to see!

Bought some fish from them, one died because it has velvet disease, the others, I got and 2/4 of them were already dead in the tank and they ended up having Epistylis, which after 2 weeks I still have yet to get rid of. They shouldn’t be selling sick fish.

If you're looking to support a small local business it's a good stop. The owner is a rather aging pleasant man though I think the shop is getting a bit run down. Probably suffering like most places from the failing economy and back lash from COVID. You can still find some good buys though. It's a small shop but they have a rather wide fish selection for the size. Danios, cichlids, bettas, tetras, loaches, and sharks to make a few. Definitely worth the stop. It's a small place away from the hustle and bustle of everything. So no you're not lost. It's a back water place so keep driving.

Great place! Had a great selection of fish to choose from! The woman that served us was very knowledgeable about the different fish. She knew which fish could or could not to together. She was very friendly and had great advice! I recommend Uncle Bens to everyone! It's a nice Mom n Pops establishment with great customer service!

Great little store. I always check here 1st before going to larger pet stores. Uncle Ben's had a good selection of pets and their supplies! Worth a look if you've never been there.

very nice family owned pet store. they let u call ahead for crickets, and or anything u may need for the pet. makes it very easy, and quick one stop shop. very reasonable priced. for a dollar a dozen u get crickets, wax worms. cheapest I found yet!

The woman working there was rather nice and had a sense of humor, but when my girlfriend and I wanted mice, she seemed as if she did not know how to properly handle the little critters! She was trying to put them in a small box with a fish net because she "hates mice." Pleasant experience overall, but please be advised when getting any small rodents.

Not sure if we came in on a bad day, but we were very disappointed with the health of the various animals. There were several tanks with deceased fish floating at the surface, and a majority of the aquariums were dirty. Many fish seemed sluggish. Back in the small animal section, there was a rabbit living completely on wire with an unclean cage that was too small. It seemed very lethargic and unresponsive. Overall, we were pretty concerned with the wellbeing of the animals. Neither of the people running the store at the time acknowledged us, so we left with only worry. Hopefully they are not normally like this, and we will keep our fingers crossed for the animals' recovery.

We love Uncle Ben's the product he sells are reasonable The Crickets and mealworms we buy for our bearded dragon are always fresh they're not dead the next day like from some other places just overall experience is wonderful from the staff the owners

Last week my family and I decided to stop at uncle ben's to get some loaches for our aquarium. We found a tank with 2 loaches, 1 of which had a half inch of white fuzz completely covering it's dead body. No loaches for us.... Then our boys excitedly pulled me towards a tank further down. "Pea puffers mom!!". We had 6 pea puffers already but when I saw the condition of these poor things, and my husband saw the look on my face, we decided to take them home and try to save them. To say that they were skinny would be an understatement. They were nothing but eyes and tail and looked near death. When I asked him to bag them up for me I asked if he'd been able to get them to eat anything at all be replied "if there's nothing floating in there they ate flake food". To which I replied, "they won't eat flake food" he just shrugged and bagged them up. A week later, we have 2 survivers. 1 didn't make it through the first night. My puffers have a constant supply of snails and get blood worms nightly. If you don't know how to care for the living creatures you sell, don't offer them at your store man...... That was disgraceful. I didn't even go back for a refund.

Had a horrible experience, worst customer service I've ever had in my life. My husband and I walked in to check out what they carried as far as bird cage accessories go. We happened to have our pet Red Tail Boa with us. Instead of the man working there asking us nicely to please leave because someone was afraid of snakes we were met with a very angry "You gotta get outta here with that thing!" Here's an idea if you don't want a certain kind of pet in your " Pet Store" then maybe hang a sign as to what is not allowed. Although with the attitude we were met with I recommend you not have anything to do with giving service to the public.

Was very impressed my first time going there. Pulling in, I wasn't sure what to expect since it basically looked like a house from the outside. I went in to check out the fish, and was shocked by the selection. Wall to wall aquariums. More variety than Petco, also had aquarium supplies as well. I ended up buying 3 neon tetras and 5 black neons, all survived. My last two times buying tetras from Petco led to an ick outbreak and several dead fish. Very impressed, a spot to definitely check out for any aquarist or hopeful aquarist!

I stopped in last week for a couple of feeder mice and was happy with what i saw. The mice were active, all fat and healthy, and tanks well kept. Highly recomended.

I love this place the items are a little pricey but they are much better than normal stores stuff I got one of my guinea pigs here and it is extremely healthy and the owners are very kind and patient with helping you find the perfect stuff for your pet.
