Dr. Schwartz is great! The staff is friendly also. We appreciate the care they give our senior dog.Update: sadly, our senior dog passed away at the end of March. 😭 We received a beautiful condolence letter from the vet's office signed by all of the employees. It was very much appreciated. We now take our new puppy to this vet as well.

Cove mtn took care of our feline baby 17 years ago and still had us on file when she passed away. They kept us as clients even though our cat was healthy and need not be seen much throuout her long life. Had they not done this we would not even been able to get our new kitten the care he needed as no vets were accepting new pets. Their staff is super friendly and very helpful and thorough. Did everything we requested to ensure our new pet was healthy and were so gentle. I have always been pleased with Cove Mtn and now, even more so. Costs of services are very competitive too and you will get all you pay for from this Vet & more. Glad to recommend them to anyone with pet needs.

RACIST RECEPTIONISTBeen to this office twice for a new cat to get shots & spayed. Second time we went they tried to charge us for her previous appointment. Worked it out, came back to get my cat spayed.When the receptionist saw my address (Derry st.) She asked "if we live on the good side or.." and searched for words that didn't sound racist.Went To the back and proceed to tell us how she has to work at an office (when she was 19 she's a senior citizen) she had such problems with the "people" and "druggies." Then said how she feels so much better "out here" (in the country where everyone is white?)KNOWING that's where we live, walked.out with my cat never going backPic for proof.

Had an emergency, one of our puppies was hit by a car and we were treated horribly, as if we did this to our family member, on purpose!!! Up until that point, was very happy with services and the staff...I can't believe how disrespected my children and I were treated during this tragedy, thanks be to God he made a full recovery, because a friend of mine stepped in to assist after being told they charged me for work not performed...All the doc did was look him over and assumed injuries, but was told x-rays and labs were to be charged, before any medical treatments were made...

Dr. Schwartz and his staff were awesome. Our little Lucy has Lyme disease and epileptic seizures. I felt so comfortable after all the testing. It was a very positive experience. They began treating our little Lucy right away. I feel so fortunate that I found them.Thanks again to Dr Alan M Schwartz, DVM and your wonderful staff.The cost was very competitive.

They were able to see us quickly. Turns out it was terminal cancer. The bill was very reasonable for services provided and they sent us home with steroids that night to make him comfortable. He passed two days later. But we won't forget how kind the staff was during the ordeal.

Our English Bulldog Augie woke up vomiting and despite giving him over the counter meds it continued. He is 3 years old, but as we travel for my husband’s work and our vet retired, we had no vet here at home. I called Cove Mountain and asked them to help. Their appointments were over two weeks out, but they fit us in within the hour! Not only did they do that, they did not rush us at all, and charged us no emergency visit fee! I have never had that happen. Dr. Schwartz is warm, caring, funny and most of all listens. I am a 23 year bulldog owner and know my dog. He listened to my input and took it under advisement regarding his treatment. He fixed him right up and we are so grateful! His staff was kind and courteous and we are happy to now consider him our vet when we’re at home!

Love this vet, he was my vet for my pit bull decades ago at his Clarks Valley location... I had no clue at first he owned that place until reading the website and seeing, hearing him talk to me about my bulldog Pixie was the same care as I recalled from when I had my pit bull. He's an amazing vet, cared deeply for animals and goes above and beyond to help you out. The prices may not always be what you'd like to see but sometimes you gotta bite the price to know your animal is getting the very best he can give. If there's something he cannot do he has a vet that comes through to do certain surgeries and would recommend the best places to get things done that he can't do.... I'm confident that anyone searching a vet should use him.

Thanks to Cove Mountain Animal Hospital for taking care of Daisy! The first moment i steped into the hospital i was not sure if she was going to make it, but it only takes a moment to notice the Professionalism of Dr Alan, Nora and the Skilled staff always friendly and compassionate, to know that i brought her to the right place. They saved her life!I was a little worried about the bill but it was not bad at all! I must say it is a very Fairly Priced hospital. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hospital to everyone who truly love and cherish their pets👌If you want the best of the best for them

I was very put off when I took my kitten in there that I rescued. The staff were very pleasant but I didnt really care for the actual Dr. Alan. I felt like I was getting lectured more about self vaccinating my animals than he was answering my questions, concerns about my kitten. I paid $65 for the exam and another $50 for basically antibiotic ointment I could have purchased for $22 at Tractor Supply. I simply feel good when I left. We all do what we can for our animals :/.

Check your bill. You might get charged for something you did not agree to. We were overcharged $120 but did not agree to the service provided. Surprised with the overall cost because of the unapproved charges on my bill. Check your bill. We questioned the charges and the girl said, we thought we heard you say yes. CHECK YOUR BILL. GET AN ITEMIZED COST AS YOU GO. BE WEARY OF THIS PLACE.

Really great place to take your beloved animals. Loved the staff. Very caring, sociable and knowledgeable. Also patience is always needed at a place that takes in very hurt animals. Please have more sympathy for the staff and the others! My little guy waiting his turn <3

I took my 9 year old cat there and was very pleased with the staff. They were all compassionate and understanding of my situation. My cat came down with a skin condition which he never had before, and the vet talked with me to narrow down the cause of the problem. He gave me different treatment options as well as an overall health assessment. I love how informative they were and above all, they treated my cat like their own and handled him with TLC. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets.

I would give them 0 stars but that is not an option. We brought our sick 7 year old dog here and they convinced us her hips were the reason she had stopped eating and was sick. They prescribed a steroid and sent us on our way. A week later she passed away from a uterine infection. Had they taken the time and tested her properly, we could have saved her.Their old lady receptionist at the front desk is rude, ignorant, and doesn't do her job. We walked in and she was on her cell phone chatting up a storm with someone about a boot. This went on for about 5 minutes as the girls in the back waited patiently for her to hang up. She did not, so the vet techs from the back started assisting us.At the end of the visit, the receptionist was extremely rude to my fiancee and proceeded to tell us they don't do payment plans. She got irate and downright rude about us not having $600 on the spot. This was our first time having an emergency with our pets. We expected a little more understanding and help in this situation. At the end, she pulled out a contract for a payment plan and demanded we sign it like we wouldn't pay the bill despite paying $100 on the spot.We paid the bill despite our dog dying because unlike them, we were determined to do the right thing.

I was highly impressed with the staff, doctor, and care my pet received here. This was my first visit. They took the time to get to know my pet and go over any concerns. I had a hard to handle dog that gets scared easily. The vet and vet tech were very patient and understanding. Honestly, this was by the far the best visit I have had getting him to behave. I told them the best way to handle my pet and asked that I be involved as much as possible. I have had other vets in the past sneer at me, when I told them this as if I was doubting their abilities. However, the vet here is also a people person and an animal person. It was easy to communicate with him. The staff was very helpful in giving me choices and understanding my options. I am finally glad to say I have found a vet that I can trust and treat my pets like family.

Dr. Schwartz and his team are hands down the best group I have dealt with with veterinarian care in a long time. Dr. Schwartz is personable, listens, makes sure you understand everything that is going on with your pet, and is stern when needed. Tina, his vet techs, and receptiontists are very friendly and knowledgeable. They explain medications and answer any questions you may have. I was walking my dog on the street and she ate something without me noticing it, latter that day she was really sick and her little tongue was sticking out. We took her to Cove Mountain Animal Hospital, the doctor was very skilled, with his experience he knew what was wrong and was able to save her. Thanks to him and all the staff involve she was able to come home.

If I could choose zero star I would. This vet treated my puppy and was wrong. He would of killed her if I didn't get a second opinion. He is all about MONEY!!! PLEASE save your loved pet and money and go to somewhere that CARES!!! PLEASE SAVE YOUR LOVED PEY !!!

If you’re thinking about going to this place clear out and entire of 3 hours in your schedule since that’s how long you’ll be waiting for them to call you back to the room. Everyone is chit chatting and not focused on the CUSTOMERS they have waiting. And all they care about is selling their products at a way over price for no reason. My dog got one shot and I was waiting over an hour and forty five minutes for this vet to call us back to the room. Once we got called back the vet came into the room to get a shot for another animal. The receptionist that brought us back to the room was explaining why we were there and all he says was “well I’m working with this cat right now” and completely ignored us until the second time we came into the room. Then somehow 1 shot and looking at my dogs teeth costs $100??? They said since it was multiple shots in one that it costs more. I’ve never asked for just one shot. I would’ve rather had other options. By that point they should’ve given me a discount for waiting over and hour and forty five minutes for someone to put a shot in my dog. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be returning and I will be telling other people I know with animals not to waste their time or money on below mediocre service.

I can not say enough amazing things about Dr. Schwartz and his incredible staff. After my cat blocked twice, 2 different animal hospitals, catheters, IV's and lots and lots of tears and stress. They were able to clear him up without surgery and he is doing better than ever! I will recommend them to every pet parent I come across. Thank you all from Meatball, Asparagus and their mom! 🐾🐈🐾
