Located in Downingtown and closer to Thorndale, I like this location for their nursery section during the spring and summer season. The store is maintained well and has a shared but large parking lot. The store is well stocked and the staff is friendly. The checkout is easy. I would expect the bakery to be more but meet the basic needs. The fresh veggies, produce, and flowers are a plus at this location.

The store was nice and quiet with barely any customers there. I was in and out in minutes. I had trouble finding the pet aisle at first and there were no employees around to ask, but I found it got what I needed. Went to self check out where there was no wait then got out of there. The store could use a good cleaning and maybe a few more employees to assist customers but I got what I needed quickly so not that big of a deal. Acme's prices are usually more expensive than maybe the Giant a few blocks down which doesn't make any sense because that Giant is way nicer. I'd go here again if it was closer and was in a rush like today but otherwise Giant is all around the better local store.

Many unfriendly/ unhelpful employees who think they're gods gift to the supermarket world.The cheese department is a joke. The atmosphere is depressing. This is a future location to be shuttered.Good riddance.

I used to shop here before I explored other local options. Meat is usually expensive and I've had issues in the past with stock consistency.

Went to the one in Thorndale or downingtown 2/1/22 and the fat short ugly lady with glasses and short hair was very rude and unprofessional! Keep employees like her and you won't have a business! She needs to be trained in the customer service area or place her where no one can see her! Very unprofessional and I'm not the only one who complained about her.

Nice store with generally friendly staff. Rarely super overcrowded. Have not seen as many stock shortages as other area supermarkets. There are still plenty of sale items at reasonable prices. Tuesday, seniors(60+) get an extra 5% off.

Second time I go there with my family and their promotions are truly good! Shiloh at the register was super nice, very knowledgeable and even helped me with the ACME app. Great supermarket! Only 4 stars because I feel they could have a few more gluten free options for those with allergies. Great store !

Overall, this is a decent supermarket. Usually has everything that I need. Prices can be hit or miss, but I think that's all grocery stores nowadays. They have a large produce selection, but the produce that I've bought tends to spoil more quickly than other local stores. They have a decent meat and dairy selection. The staff is always really friendly and helpful.

Ray at check out consistently provides great customer service he checks you out so quick and bags up everything for you. He always has me walk away with a smile always tells me to enjoy my day. He’s great, irreplaceable!

Honestly I will not shop here unless it's necessary or they have a great deal. I prefer self checkout and the self checkouts here are WAY TOO LOUD! Triggers my anxiety and creates an unfriendly environment. I don't understand way the whole store needs to here what I'm buying! There is no way to mute it(you could in the past). My last resort shopping place. WHY ARE YOUR SELF CHECKOUTS YELLING AT ME! Please turn them down. It's very obnoxious and causes anxiety.

I went in on several different occasions. I live in Germany so I don't have a PA ID card/drivers licenseThey didn't want to take my passport. Which is a legal document. There is one go with a stone piercing and very helpful. Today is the last time I go there

Other than the older grumpy lady working self check out, I have great shopping trips there. Everyone has their days maybe she just wasn't having a good day 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Acme is way better than Giant.... just saying

Produce aisle stinks! I wanted to make a big veggie tray... couldn't find the basics: a head of cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, bell peppers.... nothing. I found celery and baby carrots, but by then I gave up. I had to buy a pre-made veggie test, and even three "large" ones had limited veggies. Very disappointing!

My husband ran in a half an hour before closing and was over charged for an items...had to wait for manager..told him he couldn't help him with the money back that he over paid because he was closed and he would have to come back tomorrow...by the time he got out of the store at 10pm customers were still going in...he was very dismissive and had an attitude like he just didn't want to deal with it..I'm gonna start going to Giant maybe they will treat their customers better. (This is not the first negative incident with their staff) it's a shame the nicest people are the cart collectors.

I have been going to this store since 1990, so I guess you could say I really like shopping here! Their prices are fair, their meats, fish and produce are always fresh. I know I can find most everything there. They sell beer and wine now. Still excellent.

They have a wide variety of things in stock at decent prices. The woman working the deli counter was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave some good suggestions. The person helping at self check out was helpful and willing to adjust things manually when the coupons on the Acme app were not registering correctly. On the other hand they were short staffed and after I checked out and noticed some items on my reciept that over rang I was not able to get it adjusted because customer service was closed due to short staffing. I was told to come in for my refund tomorrow. Very inconvenient and frustrating.

It's a good store. Typical looking grocery store inside. Nothing special about the atmosphere. Easy to park at, and easy to get in and out of. Their prices for a lot of things are higher than elsewhere, but they often have those items when every other grocery store doesn't.

What a great place to shop. I went with my dad. Everyone seems to know him by name and they give him service that many royalty only dream about. Huge selection, clean, and well laid out. Love the store and staff.

Fully stocked with the exception of the dairy department. For three weeks in a row the yogurt hasn't been filled in. I went up to customer service while I was checking out to let them know somebody needs to take care of the dairy department, specifically the yogurt. The rewards program is definitely worth it! I saved a bunch!

It's a little challenge, shopping Acme's sales for pickup.They don't deliver to my location.You know the buy 1 get 2 free ribs. Sometimes they run out as they did for my first pickup.A wonderful employee ( I was going to say kid.) stepped in and pretty much walked my order through.

One of last of the original grocery stores of time gone by.Love the small homey feel of the store, unlike Giant which got way too expensive and modern past what they were, or the big box stores.Everything is lit nicely, well stocked and they greet you with hello and as you exit they say goodbye have a good day.Keep it going!!!

This Acme has the best beef. When we want steak, this is the place to go. I like to marinade my steak, however even if I don't, they still have good flavor. There seafood is also always fresh.The store is old and needs a bit of remodeling, but is kept clean. That's the reason I gave it three stars.

You have great employees working at the registers. One girl on self checkout was very helpful and in telling me where to find gift cards; then the guy who’s line i check out in was so nice, i left a bag behind and he ran out and found me before i drove off without it.

Not too happy with acne always doing that bait and switch plus electronic check out whatever that is and if you don't say anything the price on the label where you're picking up the item is not what you wind up paying they make it look like a sale item and you get it for that price but you do not and unless you say something they don't tell you plus they do that buy one get one free what they do is Jack the price of the item up making you think you're getting another item free but you do not you pay for it
