Always a nice place. Very good selection of most things, they even carry some native plants. Recently updated the building also!Also a great deal on delivered mulch!Ps. They measure the mulch in scoops. A scoop is a bit under a cubic yard. Thats...like 30 of those little bags.This is what 5 (generous) scoops looks like AFTER we removed several buckets.

I went to Stauffer's last Mon. Stauffers was out of black lace elderberry bushes. Andrew took my name and said he would call when more came in. Got a call on Thursday evening - they were in. I went up and Andrew helped me with picking out two bushes to be in the shade. Very helpful and informative. He told me that hydrangeas need an acidic soil. He also gave me tips on planting all 4 bushes. Andrew is a real asset to Stauffers. Thank you for all your help!

I love love this nursery. I live in Abbottstown, I pass by multiple nursery in my area. Since I moved from NJ to PA, while getting my house built we rented in Dover for 6 months and I came across this nursery. The people are the kindest & most knowledgeable in regards to plants, caring of plants etc. Erica is so knowledgeable with Orchids. She re-potted 2 of my orchids and she did an amazing job! I purchase the proper orchid pots w/ holes in them to verify how moist or dry they are inside. I got 2 orchids as gifts and I wanted them tore-blossom. I am clueless in how clean them and what stems to cut etc.. Erica Is a TRUE PRO! I drop the 1st one at the store left it w/ Sally who is also a friendly nice lady, (Erica was off on the day I dropped off my plant), Sally said you will be very happy with Erica’s orchid potting skills. I need to remove plant in my front of my home landscape to smaller plants since Berk’s planted these huge bushes that are definitely not for a small front lawn. I plan to buy my plants from Stauffers in Dover. Thank you for your outstanding service!! ❤️

This is the place to go if you are looking for a live Christmas tree. They have a wide selection and you won't get a better price any place in the area.

My daughter and I love this place. It's almost magical when you walk through the door. Their displays are beautiful! Whomever is in charge of that area is really great at their job! The greenhouse offers many wonderful plants. Herbs, shrubs, flowers, pond stuff etc. This place is for you.

Only thing preventing a perfect score is the price. You will find what you need here at Stuffers, especially if you can’t find it elsewhere. Great plants and planting supplies. Great selection and quality products, yet sometimes quality comes with a higher price tag. Yet the selection and friendly customer service is top notch. They are always there to help.

Was very surprised with how large the store was in the variety of plants they had. The price is for the plants wasn't bad at all. I couldn't believe they offered a warranty on the rose bush I bought aside from plants they also have a variety of items to decorate both the garden and inside your home. If you're looking to expand your green thumb or even just get a green thumb started definitely stop by this place you will not regret it.

Absolutely love this store! Staff are friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Although prices are a little on the high end, they have fantastic plants that have lasted me for years and are still growing. Very clean!!

Visited yesterday (4/24/2021) looking to buy a tree. Salesperson [Steve, iirc] was very helpful in answering all of my questions and I'm confident that we made a good choice. He also shared tips for planting and helped with loading the tree into the vehicle.I felt that our purchase was reasonably priced and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The cashier I dealt with was extremely unfriendly and miserably mean. I couldn't believe how horrible her people skills were. (I have changed my rating and review because of how great the management at stauffers handled my negative experience. I can tell that this company at it's corporate and management level definitely care about maintaining happy and satisfied customers. Thank you for addressing my concerns. I'll definitely remain a patron of your stores.)

The garden people were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! This time we needed to replace a tree in our backyard. They have every kind and size for every yard and gardenscape. Been going to SKH since a little girl with my mom who always came here for her flowers. Left with our tree, can't wait to plant it and couldn't be happier!

They were in the middle of a transition after Christmas, but it seemed they had quite a bit of Christmas merchandise at its peak. I would love to see what the place has to offer in the spring. Staff was friendly and available.

I love this place .. Trees are awesome here a very large selection. Not to mention the peting zoo that helps with the kids. Hot chocolate and hot cider for free is an added joy.

Staff is all very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. If they don't know an answer they don't hesitate to reach out to somebody else to try to make sure you get the best answer possible. The selection is pretty decent as well. Some of the larger Stauffers locations might have slightly more variety but for the most part just have more quantity of the same plants. Nothing to be lost in going to the smaller location except less drive time (if you're a local).

DO NOT buy mulch from here. I paid 50-60 dollars for 2 scoops think I would get a decent size... I was wrong it was just enough to fill my trail at the half mark. Head over to H&H Excavators to get 2 scoops to fill your trailer to the brim. They’re even so nice that when they done about 5 to 10 shovels worth on the road they gave me an entire extra scoop for 58 total dollars. Again, don’t shop here for mulch.

This place is a cool place to visit and they have a great selection of just about anything outside for gardens and landscaping. The employees that I have dealt with have been very nice and accommodating. The biggest problems that I have are that the prices seem to be a little higher than expected. The second problem is that they are, often times, very busy (which is good for them) but it is often very hard to find anyone for help and it makes it hard to find anything. Otherwise I would still go there either way.

Love this Huge Garden Center.It has lots of inside and outside plants, and succulents as well as pots, bird houses and bird accessories.A bit expensive, but the quality of the plants is exceptional...They also deliver mulch to your house if you don't a vehicle to haul it in.Staff is also very helpful and has lots of knowledge.

This place is great. I bought 12 pepper plants and they were all reasonably priced ($3 each) and the staff was very nice and helped me find my items quickly and knowledgeably. Will definitely come back in the future.

Expensive was able to find one or two good deals in the paper but only during that sale otherwise very overpriced. However staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. So if you need to just ask questions good place to go. Shrubs and trees are reasonably priced though.

I was looking for plants for my chameleon and the girl working there was so knowledgeable and helpful about which plants to get. I was there right at store opening and everyone was smiling and welcoming. I would recommend the Dover SKH to everyone!

Manager Hahn has helped me with all my gardening needs for many years. He is one of the hardest working and one of the most honest men I know. He has a keen understanding of plants, trees, and gardening products, as well as garden design. When I am frustrated with gardening issues, he always has a wonderful solution. I've been to their Cookie outlet more than 10 times and I have to admit the cookies are phenomenal they say their Factory seconds yet I don't see any problem with any of them whatsoever so the prices my God you might as well say free. The place is always clean and I only live a mile from it and I say this jokingly I can't stand it because I wake up in the morning and smell cookies baking if anybody has woke up in the morning and Mom is made cookies or something like that that wakes you up with a smile and I can tell you I woke up with many a smile and tears because I didn't have any money to buy cookies LOL
