Not bad. The lack of shopping carts makes it difficult to shop . But they have the essential items and checkout was fast. The employees although stressed were very helpful.

I stopped in this Dollar General because I was driving past and remembered that I needed juice. This is the 1st Dollar General I've visited that has so many nice home decor pieces! The store was clean, there were a few boxes but they weren't just sitting in the middle of the aisle, the employees were actually putting the merchandise away, the store was well stocked, I didn't see any empty shelves. The cashier was very polite and friendly! I heard him talking to the customer in front of me and I overheard him say his name was Trayvon (I apologize if I misspelled his name) I definitely plan to visit this Dollar General again to get some AMAZING home decor!

So happy we have DG in Donora. The workers are friendly and very helpful. My only negative thing about the store is it’s junky and dirty. I think they should hire someone to maintain the overall look of the store. To keep it clean. Hire a maintenance person ASAP

The lady at the cash register is always very rude. She makes you feel like you’re such an inconvenience. The people that work at this dollar general should take some more training on customer service. The store is always a wreck. It’s dirty. The floors look like someone was dragging their a$$ across it up and down every aisle like a dog. I don’t think they’ve ever scrubbed it. No one will ever open another register so you’re stuck waiting in line forever. I’d be surprised if they weren’t invested with cockroaches for how disgusting this store is. So I’d definitely recommend that you shop elsewhere.

Seems like every other time I go or every Sunday they have a sign on the door closing early? Do people not believe in working anymore? Absolutely pathetic and they are always crying about something when I'm there

The new manager is very boisterous, hear him before I see him. I don't need to hear about the vendors, employees or how you arrange your shelves. I just want to shop and not forget items because of all the chatter. The volume in that store is too much, along with the lack of cleanliness and disarrayed shelves.

Basically the Only store in this town. Building has been falling apart for years, and the stores very unorganized But the ladies who work there are great, friendly, and helpful. They usually keep a good stock of the items we need, which saves me a trip to Belle Vernon. They usually only have one cart, though bc everyone in town steals them.

Always go there for nothing because they never have enough items in stock. But for some reason Monessen has everything you need. If you live in the "great" town of Donora and don't have a car, expect to starve! Oh and half of the freezers don't work either

Always busy. Not enough employees . Customers come in without face mask no social social distancing. If crowded i leave. Feels like employees dont care who get sick from this mess.they got sign about mask wearing but no forcing the rule. So sad.

This is the closest thing to a grocery store Donora has. The prices are extremely reasonable and the value is great. Employees have always been friendly and helpful. Try their cookies that are close to girl scout cookies!

As a past employee, I don’t even understand how the reviews are at a 3.7. The management is horrible. The manager Jess D. Is absolutely ridiculous. Everytime she came into work she was high and walks around the store smelling it up. She was rude to customers, most of the time her and the assistant manager Jess W. Are sitting in the back talking. Now their knew worker Johnathon is another one who is always high and smells of weed so bad. I was told he fell asleep on the job in the back. HES A KEYHOLDER. He is suppose to be the one in charge of the managers aren’t there. I was also told he was caught smoking week on the job. AND THEY WONDER WHY THEY CANT KEEP WORKERS. Since I quit, four people quit or left. This place so ridiculous.

Dollar General is an average discount store. But we really depend on it here. We don't even have a grocery store. A lot of people around here don't have cars, so it would be horrible if this store ever closed.

Always to hot in the stores in the summer time and freezing in the winter time. Makes for a poor shopping experience. I've complained to employees but all they say is corporate controls the temp. People dont want to shop or work in these conditions. Plus how much you pay your employees. Thats why you have such a huge turn around with employees. You really should pay more. People would want to work for your company.

The only place to grab quick grocery off household needs in Donora after 5/6pm. But it's filthy...floor tiles coming up and when it rains outside it rains inside too. The whole back right side of the store will have buckets and towels everywhere bc the water just pours through the ceiling. Everyone talks about how that's probably an electrical fire just waiting to happen. But, it's our only store!

Don't feel like driving all the way to the grocery store for 1 or 2 things? Come roll the dice at Dollar General! There was a verbal disagreement outside the store both times that I stopped, as well as public freakouts while I waited in the stagnant line. Would recommend for the $1 Bai water 🔥🔥🔥

It's okay because it's the only store in donora that sells everything you need daily. Other than that it is a terrible store. It's trashed and cluttered the moment you walk in. Half the time nobody's upfront waiting on customers. Employees regularly stand around while the line goes to the back of the store and the list goes on. 3 thumbs down

Always love a Dollar General.. the one in Donora is sooo crucial to the town as many in Donora dont have cars and The Dollar General is the closest they have to a grocery store. The store has a wide selection of many diffrent things...from clothes to ice cream...its just a wonderful store

This particular dollar general is a dive. Dirty not so clean. Products in wrong spots. No current with sales tags or current sales tags. They do not turn around based upon expiration date. There’s roaches and mice that ate through products. And employee turn over rate is horrible and management is lazy only at this location!

So convenient for your everyday needs being only minutes away. Items are easy to find and the staff is knowledgeable and super nice!
