Have only been once as I'm new to the area. Grabbed some donuts for the kids and some other treats for the adults. A lot to choose from even at 10am. Service was ok, speed wise and employees were ok but definitely not chipper. I felt that the donuts were too "cakey". Very thick. The cream filled one was not even worth eating unfortunately. The cream was good but the bread part had no flavor and the whole thing kind of fell apart (and not in a good way). I ate it within half hour of picking it up so it didn't sit and get bad. Not sure if maybe it wasn't fresh to start with or what. The cheese Danish was superb! I gave it 3 because I probably won't be back. If I felt like it was something fixable or maybe a fluke I'd have given it 4.

Stopped this morning to get buckeyes, pepperoni rolls, and donuts for the family. We are campers nearby and we were excited to try this place! Cream filled Donuts were delicious!! However, the pepperoni rolls and buckeyes were disappointing. The buckeyes were pricey for lacking the peanut butter flavor. The pepperoni rolls looked great and the bread was soft but I only got 1 pepperoni in the whole thing. Not worth the price for this bakery and the staff seem pretty miserable (however it was a Sunday morning so… maybe just tired). Don’t think I’d go back again for anything other than the donuts.

Was there at 7 not alot to choose from. They had 1 loaf of burnt pepperoni bread no regular bread. Got 6 donuts the worker hit the Boston cream donut on top of the shelf, put in the box so now the icing is off. She stacked the donuts on top of each other so the topping is on another donut. We added a glazed donut she said wca attitude and smart tone that's 6 donuts ok well I decided I wanted 7 she didn't like that. We got 7 donuts for $11.10. Definitely not worth it. When she put the box on the counter she put it on its side. We felt rushed and we were a bother to this girl. Will not go back

A decent selection of baked goods Is always available when you stop in on your way up or down the mountain. I would say recently in the past 2 years the quality of their of bake goods has went down and prices have skyrocketed.

Donuts were delicious and melted in your mouth. So soft and fresh. We only tried the glazed and the sugar but they were amazing. Under 6 bucks for a half a dozen. Glad we saw the bakery sign and decided to stop on the way home from somerset!

The best fruit pies in my opinion. Nice crispy crust and not overly sweet filling. Perfect!

We’re camping in the area. We tried this bakery 3 different times each time hoping we would find something good. Everything looks amazing but lacks in taste. I do not recommend anything we tried. My husband who eats anything is just as disappointed. I swear they put flour in everything including their icings. Nothing taste the way you would think it should. The apple crumb had so much crumbles all over the pie it was like eating sand and dusty. Giant Eagle has a better bakery.

Two employees were rude when placing an order. When I went to pick up a birthday cake, they never made it (mistake on their end) and never apologized or corrected the situation.

Was looking forward to dropping in here. First the raspberry pie: pretty bad. Mostly bright red goo in a mediocre crust- not many raspberries. Worse still, there is a strong processed aftertaste which I found very gross and could not wash down. We both tried it and had to throw the rest away... Pumpkin chocolate chip cookie- might just be my taste but, again, thought it was pretty bad. Also tried a dry but passable peanutbutter cookie.I found the service unhelpful. They seemed annoyed that we asked a couple of questions. There is nowhere to sit. We were hoping to enjoy some goods there but you can only buy and take home. Which I do not recommend you do.

Love this local owned bakery! If you need some cookies they have em, want a donut then you got it, need a cake or pie for a party they will make it. Ive never had a bad experience. Plus when you are at this bakery you can go right next door to their awesome Old General Store. Best finds!!

We ordered four small pies of various flavors. Each was overly sweet. The crust was decent but nothing special. We also had several other baked goods that all were decent but nothing special. There were no bathrooms or place to eat. Except two benches out front.

I've only been there once so far, but tried the blueberry scone, cinnamon roll, cream puff pastry, cherry danish, and blueberry pie. My parents, husband, and I loved each of the pastries we tried, the blueberry pie was good, wasn't our favorite by itself-it's a little tart, but you can tell its FRESH. With some icecream it balances it out :) Also can't speak for other people's experiences, but both girls working in there when we were there had masks and gloves on.

Really cool antiques and "rustic" home decor! We didn't try any of the pies, but we did purchase some natural chapstick, a ton of old-fashioned candy, and some older sodas! This place has a great nostalgic feeling! I'd love to make the trip back in the future and try the desserts!

The Country Pie Shoppe is a great first stop on your way into the Laurel Highlands to play amd explore! Everything from their bakery is fantastic, especially the pies! There are usually a few seasonal favorites available, you should try them all. Also, be sure to grab one or three of their pepperoni rolls on the way out!

This was one of my favorite places to stop growing up. The only reason that I say "was" is because I can no longer enjoy the goodness within these walls. The longjohns are out of this world. The make their doughnuts fresh, in store each day. Absolutely delicious!

My peach pie was not that great. Tasted better at Giant Eagle. And would of been cheaper. Purchased dinner rolls and i can't believe the frozen ones tasted better. 3 points is being generous

When you walk in, the aroma of fresh baked goods is enough to make you want to buy everything. Everything. Looking around, the shop is clean and tidy, and the wares are lovely. I bought fresh pies and a loaf of pepperoni bread, and they are worth every calorie. This is a destination spot!

Oh my goodness. Forget everything else. Buy the orange-iced cookies. My friend and I both agreed that we may have had a cookie *as* good, but never one that is better than these! Once we left, we began calling around to see if they had other shops (they do) and where it was (just one more shop, too much out of the way for us), but that is how much we wanted to buy more of these cookies to take back to St. Louis.A bit of a let-down when I ate the only other thing we bought...a brownie. It wasn't very chocolatey and the icing was too gritty. It was good but I wouldn't order it again.

Wonderful variety of fresh baked goods, but especially love the doughnuts! Great girls running the counter and owner who is also the head baker puts out great baked goods every day.

The variety of goods in the cases was outstanding. The prices were reasonable. There are no public restrooms and the lady behind the counter seemed impatient with me when I was having trouble making up my mind.....Come on, I was the only customer she had at the time!
