Sadly I have to say that this was a great place to be with but unfortunately not very accommodating when you sit in the parking lot fir a half an hour and the first appointment and get told due to them being late they couldn’t take my dog became they have an 8am appointment. That’s wrong in all areas. Bad business. I had to get rescheduled? I was there for 1/2 hour waiting so why me why not the 8am? Who does that? Just tosses a client to the side? A client that has been coming to them for years. If you have a client that is there and has been waiting the most accommodating courteous thing to do is take them call the 8 o’clock and tell them or give them the opportunity to reschedule not one that has been present. I highly DONT recommend this place.

I have been taking my Border Terrier there for her two years. Christy does a special grooming called hand stripping the coat. It is difficult and tedious but she always does a great job! Even other Border Terrier owners and breeders have commented on how superior her work is. She also LOVES the animals- meets my Posy with big kisses- and Posy is actually HAPPY to go there ! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Christy is a dog-grooming artist! I always say that my favorite day of the month is Maisie’s “spa day”. Not only do I absolutely love her work, but I know that Maisie is getting Christy’s undivided attention for the entire time she’s there. That itself is invaluable to us. Christy doesn’t just groom your fur babies, she takes the time to get to know each and every one so she can give them the best experience possible. It’s very obvious that she loves what she does. Her shop is inviting and clean. We are so happy we found Christy!

Our mini-schnauzer puppy Fritz was adopted during lock-down, and we weren’t able to socialize him as well as we would have liked to. When it came time for him to get his first grooming, he was terrified and squirmy, and because of that, the groomer he went to asked that we find someone else.We were concerned that Fritz may never feel comfortable getting trimmed, but then heard about Christy’s kind, gentle and patient reputation, and decided to give her a shot. On our vet’s advice, we offered to give him calming medication before his appointment, but after speaking with Christy, she said she wanted to see how he did without the meds.We dropped him off and didn’t move far from the phone, fearing a repeat of our previous grooming attempt.What ended up happening was beyond our idea of best-case-scenario. Christy did a full, one-on-one bonding session with Fritz, playing with and petting him before introducing the clippers. Not only was his haircut flawless, but he walked out of there so confidently!Having since caught up with his socialization, Fritz has returned to Heart Dog many times. He saves his biggest tail- waggle for when we say, “Do you want to go visit Christy?”We can not begin to share how grateful we are for the time she put into our boy, or say enough positive things about the quality of the job she does.

I had appointment for my fur baby that I waited for he is suffering with knots and this morning last minute she called and canceled only because I let her know my baby has a enlarged heart but I explained he is still fine and vet cleared him to be groomed! I called her 3 days ago and she waits to the day of appointment. A week ago she made a appointment to have nails cut and did not show either! She was kind enough to reschedule and did not charge she is friendly and her works is good but to do that last minute was so Unprofessional. Now my little fur baby has to suffer until I can find a new place and he will be stressed because it will be a new place! Way to go heart dog not so much heart going on.

Christy is thoughtful, and kind with my dogs. She listens to my wishes well, and lets me know any recommendations to improve my dogs experience. Afterwards, Can’t take my hands off my dog! She feels so soft, and smells so good! I can tell my dog is proud of her style, because she prances around the house after a groom with Christy.

I wish I would have waited before typing my initial post. My first initial experience was good, but unfortunately after that it has been nothing but one negative encounter after another. I had several cancelled appointments, and coming almost an hour a way, it was challenging to say the least. When I took my beloved Bichon Frise puppy there 6 weeks ago, I picked him up and he was completely shaved with no hair left, that is one thing, but he had been shaved so close on his ears that his ears were literally bleeding when I picked him up. I was so distraught, and my dog literally shook for days after, but I was willing to try again. After driving almost an hour to get there today I expressed my concerns about him being shaved and his ears bleeding, and I said let’s just move on and start over, but she said NO and refused to groom him and I had to leave after scheduling an appointment and driving round trip over 2 hours. Do not take your dog to this groomer. My dogs demeanor changed for almost a week afterward and he is a fun loving newly one year old puppy. If I can give 0 stars I would.

Just WOW! My dog Heidi has never been so cared for while at the groomer. My dog also has black nails with long quicks and no one has ever been able to get her nails short and some will even refuse to cut them. This place gets 5 stars from me, if I could rate higher I would.

Christy is wonderful! Our Laycee always looks so pretty after her "spa" time! Laycee is an older dog and sometimes quite antsy but Christy is great with her!

We recently moved to the area and we were having a hard time finding a groomer. We are so happy we found Heart. Our two dogs look and smell wonderful. Love that you can wait while they were being groomed. That really helped with regards to our more anxious pup.

The owner and groomer is very sweet. She speaks to your dog in a high pitched, adorable voice.You know, in that baby talk that we all do sometimes.Her work is amazing. My dog came home pooped and fluffy, and perfectly groomed. She posts a lot of her clients on Facebook afterwards.Has early morning hours. She is quick, and thorough. Dog is groomed within the hour. You'll need immunization history.

We are new to the area. My girl Dory is almost 17 year old & she hates getting groomed. Christy was wonderful with her. She talked to her and treated her like her own! Dory didn't mind getting a bath and haircut. She looked adorable when she was done. Great haircut, I have my little puppy back!Definitely a great place to go for all of your grooming needs. It will be my new groomer! Christy was a pleasure to speak and work with!

Made a last minute appointment for my pup and Christy was great. Very clean facility and you can tell she is passionate and loves animals. She only takes one dog at a time which I loved and he was done in under 2 hours. Highly recommend!

I have a very hyper puppy mill Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix just shy of 2. He loves people but afraid of sounds from above. One noise and he is under the porch, but will chase a bear, go figure. Christi was great with him and did an amazing job at cutting his hair. She left enough on to shade his skin from the sun but short enough to look great. Thank You!

Christy was part of my family for over 10 years. She came into my life when I was desperate to find a groomer who cared for my “babies” as much as I do. It is never easy to leave your beloved animals in the care of others. Christy specializes in patience and navigated doggie anxiety to ensure the best experience with the greatest outcome.
