What a great place to take your furry babies. They are very professional and compassionate. I take all my babies there. Three cats 😺. They've taken care of me in a pinch. Dr. Jacobs is a wonderful veterinarian. Front desk ppl are understanding and friendly. Can't ask for a better veterinary hospital than Dillsburg. And also I like to say thank you for being there for Boogie. I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart ❤️.

We have been taking Grace to the Dillsburg Vet Center for about a year now, since we first brought her home! Dr Jacobs and the rest of the staff are amazing and you can really tell they love what they do! Highly satisfied with the care my cat received from Dr. Pryor and the vet techs at this office. My cat had a broken leg and was getting casts off from his previous vet, but not here! Every cast stayed on and everyone here who handled my cat did so with respect to him being a cautious animal. They'd also change his bandage faster than I expected and sent me home with supplements to support his joint health. This practice certainly delivers high quality care.

Everything was amazing, from the phone call to the end of the visit, Dr. Jacobs was amazing and very kind, prices were very reasonable and they got me in the same day! not only that but followed up the next day to check to see how sosa was doing! i absolutely love this place! he's back to his happy self!!

🐯UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL MARCH 2020 REVIEW: It's been 5 months since our first appt at DVC, and although my Cheetah baby will most likely have health problems going forward, or better said "FLARE UPS" from IBD, I couldn't be happier with the medical care Cheetah is receiving here from Dr. Amber &the wonderful staff 💚💛❤💜3/2020 Wonderful Veterinarian Hospital, 10 🌟! Thank GOD for Google, that my mom found this place when she did. My beloved (soon to be 9 year old) feline baby named "Cheetah" was examined by Dr. Amber for the 1st time this past Wednesday morning and had an ultrasound completed (WITHOUT any type of waiting period or scheduling conflict thankfully) as a brand new patient, and I knew by the end of our appointment that this was going to be Cheetah's new full time Vet! Believe me when I say, not all Vets, Animal hospitals, and so called animal trauma centers provide the same level of care, as I recently found out the hard way with 2 different places (prior to going to DVC) in the last month. Word of advice, if you love your pet like a family member & value their life, then AVOID ever taking them to Rossmoyne "so called" Animal Trauma Center, as they are incompetent, uncaring, and flat out lie to protect themselves from legal action... Even thru all of my skepticism and worry due to horrible service received at the previous 2 places I took Cheetah to, Dillsburg Veterinary Center quickly won my confidence and I now trust that Cheetah will receive the best care available to her! It was like night & day going from the other 2 Vet places to this welcoming place, as the individuals that work for Dillsburg Veterinary Center show how much they love their work (it's not just a job) and they actually take pride in what they do. They not only show your pet empathy and do everything they can to make them comfortable during their visit, but they spend as much time as necessary to make sure the pet parents have a good understanding of what they're planning to do in regards to diagnosis and treatment for your pet. Furthermore, they actually call you after your appointment to check on the status of your pet (my own doctors don't do that), to see if their condition improved, worsened, or no change and provide helpful recommendations if needed! One appointment so far and to date, I've received 3 follow up calls👍. One of those 3 calls was from Dr. Amber herself, and she spent over half an hour on the phone with me explaining Cheetah's Ultrasound results, as well as the options available to treat her. Walking into Dillsburg Veterinary Center instantly gave me comfort & hope, from the friendliness to the eagerness of the staff fitting us into their schedule without notice & wanting to help Cheetah get better, to the cleanliness & positive atmosphere, and the stellar level of care that Dr. Amber displayed during our visit... For the first time since Cheetah began getting sick nearly a month ago, I felt like I could breathe again! Cheetah has been my baby going on 9 years now (the kid I never had), and she's usually very healthy, full of life & energy (1 of a kind spirit to her), so intelligent, playful & even comical at times, affectionate & loyal, and she brings me such joy, that I can't stomach the thought of losing her! I feel like this Vet Center understands that AND respects that, (as every veterinarian place should, but unfortunately doesn't). Our experience with taking Cheetah to Dillsburg Vet Center has begun to restore our faith in the veterinarian world. Many thanks ❤ go to the following staff that were in some way a part of Cheetah's 1st visit as well as her upcoming surgery scheduled: "Debbie, Amber, Allie, Kelly, Brittany, Cindy, Tasha, and Dr. Amber", as well as anyone else we're not aware of! To date, the staff at Dillsburg Veterinary Center have proved to be more than competent, patient, caring, and enthusiastic about their work in providing animals with compassionate and stellar medical care, as well as comfort and hope for the pet parents ... They were fast to give me an appointment for my puppy. They asked for a stool sample for testing and they said it would be the next day and the vet would call me with the results. Well it has been almost 2weeks and they have not called, emailed or texted me results. It seems like the $60 I paid for that was for nothing. The receptionist even called the next day to ask how the puppy was doing and I reminded her that I was awaiting results and have never heard from them again.

When my boy had an emergency they fit him in to their busy schedule. Wasn't even a regular client but they made it happen. They have such compassion for all the fur babies. The people that work there are out of this world with their caring and knowledge. They are now my reg vet. Can't recommend them more.

Dillsburg Vet treats us and our cats with great care. They saved the life of one of our pets and alway give trusted experienced advice, perscriptive recommendations, and customers service. Prices are moderate and the doctors give all prices and options up front before treatment decisions.

Our outside cat got caught in a trap and Dillsburg Veterinary Center was the only place who would agree to see him. They went through our options in detail and we agreed he would unfortunately have to lose his leg. They did a terrific job with his surgery and follow up and he is now back to his happy loving self and is now an inside cat for life. I am so grateful to the staff for saving our baby and would recommend them to anyone who has pets.

Nothing but great experiences here with my senior dog. Reception is so welcoming, nurses are personable and Dr. Amber Crow is amazing. Quality veterinary care and great people makes all the difference. Been several years now and I am glad they took us in as an urgent sick visit back then!

Our pup was a patient here for 5 years. When he got sick towards the end of his life, the staff here treated us so poorly. We were charged thousands of dollars for tests and medications that ended up being unnecessary. When he became very sick and stopped eating, they told us they couldn't get him in for an appointment for 4 days. He died 2 days later and never made it to that appointment. His death was traumatic for our whole family because he never received the care that he needed and deserved from Dillsburg vet. After he passed, I had to stop at the office to pick up some records and paperwork. I was crying and the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude to me and made fun of me for wearing sunglasses inside (to hide my puffy eyes). The staff at Rossmoyne ER, where he died, sent us a card saying how sorry they were about his passing. Dillsburg vet, where he was a patient for 5 years, did nothing.

The staff here are so kind, however the quality of care at Dillsburg has disappointed me two times too many. When my dog was a puppy, he had blood work done at Dillsburg. I was not notified of the results, and was only notified when another vet found the paperwork laying around and figured it would be smart to call me (thank goodness). My dog was positive for a tick borne illness and treated. At the start of this summer, I again took him in to Dillsburg for long term diarrhea and was concerned that he may have relapsed the tick borne illness and it may be a potential culprit. His stool was tested and I was given prescriptions and expensive RX dog food. I called back because it (loose stools) was still happening and was told that it’s likely a stomach sensitivity and that I should buy more RX dog food. I took my dog to another vet for his yearly, and as it turns out, he was in fact positive for the tick borne illness again. I should have trusted my gut months ago and pushed for more testing, instead of trusting their recommendation to simply accept that he has a “sensitive stomach” and purchase more of their expensive food which merely bulked the stool, instead of ensuring that the cause was identified. Cost is no factor when it comes to the well-being of my dog, however, I was able to obtain an exam, proper testing, and treatment for a significantly more reasonable cost elsewhere, and I am confident that my dog is healthier as a result of the other vet’s care. Just a lesson keep your eyes open and advocate for your pet.

We have been taking our 2 labs to Dillsburg Veterinary Center for a few years now and, honestly, can't say enough nice things about their entire staff. You can tell they truly love animals there. We recently had to put our almost 15 year-old chocolate lab down, which was absolutely earth-shattering for us. The entire team was so wonderful and caring during and after. In fact, we just received a very nice handwritten card that was signed by the whole office with very nice messages for us. It meant so much. We can't recommend them enough!

I took my 15yr old Maltese to see Dr. Pryor today for the first time. I was so afraid he was going to tell me I had to euthanize him. He was biting everyone, you couldn't pet or love on him and he kept falling. They did laser therapy on him and I have a new dog again! I'm disabled and have cancer and live on a very small monthly income. It was the best spent money ever!!!!! Thank you Brittany for your precious time you spent with my sweet Charlie dog!! Don't let money stand in the way of giving your beloved pet a chance for a much better life! Thank you to all of you!! Can't wait to come back for more laser treatments!!!!

We took our 14-year-old Calico to see what was wrong with her. A very nice veterinarian named Dr. Jacobs checked her out thoroughly. We were very impressed by him. We had to go back to have her put down. Dr. Amber talked with us. All in all, they made a very bad experience a little better. We are actually taking our newly adopted Calico to be checked out by Dr. Jacobs tomorrow.

They treat you and your pet with kindness and compassion.They understand that vet bills can be a financial burden, so they work with you on determining the best care for your pet with keeping your budget in mind.I have now had 5 pets take their last breaths at this vet and have 4 new little ones that receive care here. Staff explained everything in detail and were very friendly. They provided a cost estimate with no hassle. Price was much better compared to other vets in my area (Camp Hill). They called the day after my cat's appointment to verify she was doing well. Staff seems like they are very compassionate.

We decided to take our first cat there and loved the care we received. They put a welcome sign at the front desk and write your pet's name by the water dish in the exam room.We recently got a new cat that had to be seen when he was bit by our first cat. It was the end of the day on a Friday and they squeezed him in right before close so we didn't have to wait until the following day.I'm so happy with the care they give to our fur babies. Dr. Amber is the best!
