I took my kids here for ice cream and it was one of the best spots we have gotten ice cream in the area. The ice cream is delicious and the portions are huge! I recommend the midnight caramel river it's so good! You can get ice cream on a cone or in a cup. They have a lot of different flavors to choose from! There are milkshakes and sundaes. Barkley's also offers food to order. I heard the food is really good here. The prices here are very reasonable! I highly recommend this place.

The best place I know of to get an old school malted chocolate shake! Serving sizes are very generous and the staff is always friendly. They have tons of ice cream flavors and an extensive short order menu all at reasonable prices! A+++

Today Sept. 22, 2023 I walked to barkleys for food and was highly disappointed. I ordered a double cheeseburger with pickle, onion and mustard. What I got was awful. There was so much mustard that it was totally inedible. I ended up giving it to my dog and even he wouldn't eat it. Hopefully the gyro I got for my husband to have after work will be better than the burger I got.

Home town ice cream kingdom. Very good food too. Do not order a large cone unless you are starving. haha. The family that runs the place is and has always been very friendly and they train the staff to be the same. The food is very good. I'll get a sandwich or sub fairly often. No guessing whether it will be good or not, it's always well prepared and packed. Honestly, this place has been there for many decades for a reason. It is well maintained and clean with consistent service and quality treats. I've not found a better ice cream place in all my travels.

Local standard for Ice cream for many years. Bigger than you need servings and a good selection of options. They have a good menu for basic food as well and most everything I have ever tried has been good. If you are in Derry you should try this place.

Best ice cream ever!!! Love their peanut butter sundaes. They are not selfish with the goodies! The size of their ice cream cones is nearly unbelievable. A small is like a large. Their banana splits are enormous. My fiance loves their banana malt shakes and says they are the best.They have a pretty sizable hot menu as well.They have like 24 flavors of soft serve. As well as a bunch of hard scoop flavors.Only downside is the wait. There is always a lot of people there, but it is very well deserved.It's normally teenagers working there, and they're not that friendly. But there is an older lady working there that is sweet as pie.

This place is great. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors and toppings as well as a regular menu for lunch/dinner. The portions are huge and the price is fair. The staff is very friendly as well.

Huge cones! I usually get the baby cone, I think it's $1! Like for real a dollar! You think it's going to be some wimpy cone, but this ain't DQ folks. Can't go wrong! They get a little busy and sometimes there's a line, but that's to be expected. Nice local family business.

This place truly has some of the best ice cream you will ever find in Southwest Pennsylvania! I have been going there for almost 20 years now and their ice cream sundaes are amazing as well as the food great place to take the family or just to go and get some ice cream. If you ever have a chance definitely stop here don't pass up an opportunity when you have an ice cream craving.

Barkley's has been around ever since I can remember. I think they're noted for their great portion sizes. In fact, I love taking new people there & letting them order a large cone just to see their reaction 😅 I love the Brownie Delight because they might actually use home-made brownies, not those hard chewy things other places use. And I also recommend the Fresh Raspberry Sundae.

They are very generous with their portions, they also serve frozen yogurt. I can not eat ice cream so frozen yogurt it is for me! Bradley's also serve a large variety of ice cream products as well as hot sandwiches!You definitely get your money's worth!

I ordered a banana split, could not find any bananas anywhere. I was told the bananas were on the bottom of the styrofoam container. I dug around in the melted ice cream and still no bananas. The service was very slow, people behind us got their orders before we did. My wife and I were very disappointed, this will be the last time we ever go there.

I ordered both food and ice cream. got my food and then waited over a half hour for my ice cream while they kept waiting on other ppl. so I was getting upset and finally told someone that I've been waiting over a half hour for my ice cream and here they had it already bagged up in the freezer and totally forgot about it.i think maybe they need more than 2 employees working the front.

The best place for ice cream in my opinion! Great prices for the portion size. Portions are huge! If you like bananna splits barkleys is the place to go, I've skipped dinner just to finish one.

This place is the best around for short order food and ice cream!!! The portions are huge!!! Definitly worth the money...any order $10 and over you can use a debit or credit card but anything less than 10 u gotta pay cash!! They are closing 10\20\19 so sad to see it end for the season but soon as spring hits ill be back down there yet again!!!!

I tried to give this place a go since the other local ice cream shop opens later. The first couple times went fine but on the 3rd visit I ordered Whitehouse cherry, 2 scoops and got a cone with ice cream hardly out of the cone. I asked the lady of they ran out and if I could get more since I paid for 2 scoops and didn't get one. She said no because they ran out of my flavor and before I could ask for a different kind to be added she went in the back. Never again.

Barkley's is always lovely, been going there for years now. Always clean, has the best ice cream around, and any time we've been there everyone has always been very kind to us as well. Definitely recommend anybody even near the area stop by! Used to drive from Pittsburgh each weekend years ago, if that tells you how good the service and ice cream are.

My family and i love going here. Its cheap and you get three times the icecream than dairy queen!!! Cheap Cheap Cheap... just for newbies- a child cone is the size of a large at dairy queen. And only costs about $1.95!

Great food and ice cream...for super cheap prices! You do get double the amount you'd get at a normal ice cream place for half the price. Cute side area with picnic tables to enjoy your treats and eats!
