I advise you to pass on this location if you need anything to be special ordered. I came in looking for a basic lawnmower. No bag, with a side grass chute. They didn't have one in stock. Has to be ordered from another location. I supplied my contact info. This was a Friday. Called the following Monday. Still wasn't ordered. Here it is a week later, still no phone call. Keep in mind that all their locations are within 15 to 20 miles from each other. Their customer service was horrible 20 years ago and it appears that noth has changed. If you want basic tools they're fine, just don't special order anything and expect a prompt response.

I love having a hardware store right here in Dauphin. Staff is great. They don’t have EVERYTHING - but they have most things. Pricing is reasonable.I had a problem with a tool I bought there one time and they took care of me right away.Their tool rental selection is good, too.They are my first choice for hardware / tools.

This mini excavator we rented was a piece of junk the cylinder for the boom was bent it didn't idle right. We were just removing a stump and the cylinder broke. Well the hardware store wants to blame us for there faulty equipment. The owner came to my house and wanted to talk to my parents not me I'm 40 years old I rented it for my business. Hornungs true value is terrible. The owner said we caused $15000.00 in damage. I looked it up A Brand new cylinder is $715.00 should be like 1500 to replace with labor. They have the absolute worst customer service. Each hornungs true value has different prices for the same stuff. Go anywhere else but hornungs.

We bought a snowblower the day of the snow storm and we were able to do our sidewalk and then it wouldn't blow out snow!Hornung's told us to bring it up so they could see what the issue is because it is brand new!It was a bolt or screw the was loose and that threw everything off. They fixed it and made sure it worked!They were great about it but for the price paid for snowblower it should have been double checked.They all were very nice and all helpful. As soon as you walk into the store they immediately ask if you need help. I love that cause you don't get that kind of help anymore

Lost an exhaust hanger on my pickup. They sold me some inexpensive wire to hang it back up and even loaned me a pair of pliers to help get me on my way.Good people DO still exist. Thanks guys.
