I have had 2 cats neutered there. They take the very best care of the animals. Minimal contact to keep the area clean. The price is amazing! $125.00 for neutering, chipping, vaccinations, nails clipped and the people are very kind and explain everything when you pick your cat up. I definitely would give more than 5 stars.

I have been calling for over a week now. Waiting patently. I rescued a dog that was going g to be shot. I have 2 autistic grandsons. The dog is very friendly. I just ha e enough to do. They promised if I kept calling back every 15 minutes they would take the dog. They lied.

Adopted a dog they claimed was perfect with other animals, would do well in a smaller apartment, was house trained , crate trained. Neglected to mention his crippling separation anxiety. I got him home we worked with a highly renowned trainer for 2 months until he broke out of his heavy duty crate burrowed a hole through my wall and almost through a door trying to get to our cat that he was dead set on trying to kill. When we surrendered him and explained the situation. We then were put on black list claiming we threatened the workers with just dumping him and we were irresponsible owners and didn't deserve to adopt again. Mind you the dog was healthy up to date on all of his shots and groomed professionally in our care something the SPCA neglected to do. They also changed his name and slandered us some more in the post trying to resell him also neglecting to mention his issues. Over all don't adopt a dog from SPCA, cats are fine, if you want a dog get it from a breeder or private party.

The staff were nice but they don't let you in the kennel. You look at the pictures of the dogs and if interested, they bring the dog out to the yard but the dog was so distracted by being outside that I couldn't tell if it would be a good match because the dog couldn't focus. They said they do it that way because the dogs get too excited but doing the way they are is producing the same result. I don't like the way the set up is there and doing it that way in the dead of winter is going to make it even harder

We adopted a dog here back in Nov. She is the best dog anyone could ever ask for. We had lost our dog of 10 years last summer, and when we were finally ready for a new family member I knew we wanted to come here. Everyone that works there is wonderful, and our experience was great. This is our second time adopting a dog from here. (Last time was in 2005, sadly that dog passed in 2015 but was an amazing companion for many years) If you are looking for a new family member please don't overlook the animals here. We couldn't imagine not having our Belle in our lives now thanks to the SPCA!

Have gotten both of my cats from here and they are wonderful. When adopting, your pet comes spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, and with a small bag of food, a bag of treats, and some toys! The adoption process was quick and easy and both times I went home with a new best friend.

My dog of 17 years passed away and my sister brought me to Danville SPCA to adopt a new fur baby and the process was great and I was able to give a beautiful sweet dog a new loving home. If you are looking for a new pet, why not adopt your new family member from the SPCA !

Very happy experience. They are kind and knowledgeable. They are patient with questions. The cats are actually in good shape which can be very hard to do. I can't speak highly enough of the folks we worked with in the process. Don't expect to take an animal home that day because this center prioritizes animal safety in the best way.

Such a wonderful time here looking for a new addition to our family. We found a great dog to call our companion here. He's doing great in his forever home and we are grateful to the people who work here in helping us through the adoption process

Where I got my kitty. Great place. I was happy they allowed me to go back to the Cat Room so I could hold different cats and make a more informed decision. And though I wasn't able to get the one that I wanted, I got her sister, and it all worked out. She lays on my desk most of the day while I'm working and keeps me company.

A truly a complete waist of time and money and resources. Tried reporting true animal cruelty and the gut that I talked to said no,throwing declawed house cats that have been inside cats the whole time out side without food or water, no that isn't abandonment and or neglect. So this place truly is another agency that has rules but those rules are to follow once in a while when it's convenient. I have seen this pattern become more and more, I think may start living it. Do what I want and no consequences do to laws only apply sometimes. Same laws I swore to protect and defend when I took a oath to

Prices are a bit crazy for the elderly dogs. If dog is approaching 10+ years i dont see why they aren't basically free. I'd love to adopt some of these older doggies to care for them towards the end of their lives, but its not justifiable when a 2-3 year old runs the same cost

The staff was very friendly and helpful to us . The animals and the shelter was clean and well maintained. They need help from the community for donations to help care for the animals until they find homes for the animals.

My husband and I have been looking for a place to surrender two friendly strays and we found them, made an appt and drove over an hour away just to have them be unable to do the testing to get them cleared to take them in. They had no sedatives, the employees couldn't hold a cat if their life depended on it. How the hell did they expect two cats taken over an hr away from their spot to act? All nice and chill and sit there all pretty? Jfc 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 they should have been prepared and now we wasted gas time and money with nothing to show of it except two cats who are literally scaring my cats to the point they won't even come out to use the litterbox. We even told them straight up that this was how bad it was and we tried MANY shelters within the area, tried posting to find a home nothing. I'm at a loss. I'm only 28 and I feel like I'm gonna die from a heart attack over this it's so stressful.

Terrible experience. We just lost our family dog and wanted to look to adopt. We drove out of our way to Daville SPCA only to find out that we have to schedule appointments for each separate dog (prior to going). We were the only ones there on a Saturday. Upon our arrival, the staff in the office sat and stared at us... not saying a word. I finally asked if we could see an animal and she told us it was by appointment only. I was highly confused as to why she said absolutely nothing to us while we waited. I feel horrible for the animals in this place. What happened to the days when you could see the animals & adopt one.

I'm out in the country and over the years I've had many feral cats and a few that were abandoned, show up. The SPCA Clinic makes it affordable to TNR the ferals and have the tame kitties fixed & vaccinated. The staff is knowledgable and always pleasant. They're the best!

Wife found a stray kitten in the middle of the road unable to walk. Brought it home, fed it and gave it water and we immediately sought assistance in trying to help this poor kitten. Looked on aspca website and got phone number and hours of operation for Danville center. No answers to phone calls, took kitten to Danville aspca, website says no animals turned away. Were supposed to be open 11am Sunday. Closed when we got there at 11:15. People working cleaning cages and such, got their attention, we were basically told nothing they would do for it, no room. Even to hold it overnight till a vet could look at it. They were more worried about their horses as it seemed, bigger profit for aspca when large animals are adopted I guess. All we got was recommendations for other rescue centers and veterinarians. Mostly they just turned a blind eye toward this poor kitten. Ironic how an orginization whose main goal is the prevention of cruelty and abuse of animals turns their back on one in need of help. Tried other rescues such as Animal Recource Center in Millville, worthless also, won't answer phone no matter what day or time, no local vets open so we took it to Watsontown emergency animal clinic. Spent $600.00 of our own money on a kitten that would unfortunately have to be put down 2 days later. We tried what we could, put him in warm house, gave him food, water, attention but because we aren't independently wealthy, unfortunately our help wasn't enough. Just sad that these places put profit over the value of helping an animal. We understand had it been one of our pets the cost of care is our responsibility, but turning away an injured stray animal by these so called humanitarian organizations is downright disgusting to say the least. At least my wife and I can feel that we did the best we could with what we had to work with, which is way above what these places do. We did name him "Tuff" because of his will to try to live, despite the odds against him.

Personal friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, really care about animals. Completes paperwork quickly, professional. Cares about adopters too. I adopted the cutest, small dog. I'd been looking for him for awhile. The application was easy, simple, necessary information. Very happy working with this SPCA. I highly recommend this animal, all animal rescue.

Very disappointed in this place. They don't even deserve 1 star. Very rude an dishonest staff. The girl that was handling the adoption that never happened said we were approved an assured my young daughter we were taking the cat home that day. Left us get the cat out an hold it. Then proceeds to come in the room an tells us they decided not to adopt it to us do to some dumb detail. So they lied to my daughter an upset her. Will never suggest this place to anyone.

I don't think the young ladies there know what there doing . I have an emergency situation and they said my dog didn't pass their test because you didn't want them touch his mouth .they said he was not aggressive at all but was afraid he would hurt himself . That made no sense at all . But they took his sister .

I can't say enough about how great the techs and vet were at the spay/ neuter clinic. They explained everything and treated my dogs with kindness and respect. They went over everything I should expect post-op . Don't hesitate to avail yourself of this wonderful service provided by top notch people who care about all the animals in their care. Will be returning to use their vaccine services and can't wait for their wellness clinic.
