I absolutely LOVED it and enjoyed it being so convenient considering I just moved locally but today I had my first bad experience and I’m not one of those people who need to write reviews and barely write them but this is absolutely ridiculous, so today I sent my son into shop n save today so he could get quarters, were new to the area so don’t know much about the stores or area we just moved here 3 weeks ago , I needed quarters to do laundry so I sent him in to get some. He went up to the girl who was working where the scratch offs were she was a young dirty blonde hair short skinny girl with glasses , and he asked could he exchange the $20 for $10 in quarters and she looked at him and said we have a machine out there so he goes out to where there’s a PLACE TO PLAY QUARTERS JUST EXCHANGE THAT’s why he said KEYWORD EXCHANGE but not the machine to get the quarters so he goes back in and says I didn’t see it. She goes no like out there in a rude way to him like he’s stupid when infact she’s stupid because the word EXCHANGE MEANS EXCHANGE NOT PLAY!!!! and he ended up just walking out mind you he’s only 11 years old and the only reason I sent him was because I had to feed my baby a bottle if not, I would have went in myself , but the point is she was extremely rude, so I came in and said that there is no machine because I just looked and she gave me the meanest ,rudest, face and exchanged it for me after she just told my son, there was a “machine” and talked to him in a rude way and there was never a quarter machine AT ALL I don’t know what kind of customer service there is around this area but that little girl was rude as hell and to speak to a child the way that she did it infront of my spouse who was there with him so I know for sure what she said.What a great way to welcome new people to the area , what wonderful customer service !!! The whole point of hiring people is to hire people who have good customer service skills in which she has none!!!

This place is the best ace to shop in cresson.I like all of the shop and save stores. But this one here has a lot of good managers special 's on the meat and pre made dinners usually. The staff here are all very friendly and helpful. 😀

Worst place for time sensitive food. The shelf life of produce and breads is incredibly short. Almost feels like magic when you look at your food a day or two later and the mold growth has started. Bread, blueberries. Strawberries. Lettuce, whatever. If you're not going to finish it in day or two, don't buy it. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now. Throwing away some recently purchased fruit tonight.. the rest of the store is decent. You can save money with the dairy and nonperishables.

Nothing fancy, just convenient. Great variety of fresh meats and they have an in-house butcher. Hard to find small, little family stores this good anymore. Their deli is great, they usually have fried foods and rotisserie chicken, they have hit soups.

The Cresson Shop and Save used to sell a cake called Spanish Bar cake in their bakery dept ... Basically a double stacked spice cake with raisins and white icing.I always used to buy it there but it seems to have disappeared from their assortment.The old A&P grocery chain used to sell those cakes before they went out of business.

I run a moving company and we use U-Haul Moving trucks. We came here one day and the manager taking of the U-Haul rentals is the rudest person out there. First, the lady told me this isn't a U-Haul store and I waited for like 40 minutes to get my truck that was suppose to be ready 2 hours ago for me. Secondly, she kept telling me that this is a grocery store and I come to the wrong store for a U-Haul. 3 she kept saying how she doesn't have any equipment in that store. She only gets like 10 blankets and 1 dolly and just continued to tell me I picked the worse spot for a Uhaul. I hope this has changed.

We go there often for their sales. We couldn't find an item that was in the flyer ,so they made it right by offering another item at the same price. I liked that they did this for us.

I am always made uncomfortable by the staff that constantly hawks me as if I am a shoplifter. I assume this may have something to do with my appearance as I have tattoos and colored hair. The employees at the deli are an exception, however, and are always helpful and friendly. They have a huge selection of fresh baked goods. Prices are outrageous.

Clean store. Some things are a little pricey and I have gotten bad meat there once before. But I shop there all the time and things happen. They did refund me on a gift card. The bakery and deli are pretty great.

11 yrs ago when I moved here I was excited to see a 'hometown grocery store'...my excitement faded as I entered a dark and dirty store that wreaked of cigarette smoke near the back. I seldom went there and only for true emergencies like grabbing milk or an ingredient for a recipe I'd started. I started doing better with keeping stuff in stock so lately I hadn't a need to go in. I'd wondered when I heard there was a new owner but I was set in my ways now and didn't need to go there. But my husband would stop in now and then for bakery items. He started updating me with the condition of the store so curiosity got the best of me (as did the baked goods) and I stopped in. What a world of difference! It is clean now, there is no more smoking in the back area, the shelves are stocked, there are some great deals, and my ever precious milk... a LOT less expensive than the big store in Altoona! If you were like me and turned off by this place a few years ago, be like me and give it another try!

I've gotten a lot of moldy vegetables and fruit complain to the man with the gray hair younger man obviously owner's son who really didn't care didn't even remove them from the shelf

Terrible. The cashier's just talk and are very judgemental. The one cashier just held our food in her hand instead of scanning it cause she was too busy talking to the other cashier. Prices are high, people are rude. I recommend just staying to a Walmart.

Very disappointed. I stopped at this Cresson location because they had a sign by the road that readHoney Crisp Apples $1 per poundAfter realizing they were out and wouldn't have any until tomorrow morningThey recommended bag of 3 pounds for $5.99Bait & switch???

Fruit and veggies must be consumed much quicker than other stores. Took meat back 3 times in the past year. I currently have celery three days old , it's limp as a rubber band. Thanks for stealing from the people who make you your money. I should have you over for dinner next time the pork smells of road kill. (You eat first) . Because I'm nice like you!

Hate this store its the only store to shop at in our area. Produce is always terrible. Things are hit an miss on deals. Worst parr is sale items are poorly posted. Also the store savings card is just paper weight on ur key chain it doesnt do anythinf 90% of the time. If a real grocery store came into this town the store would be toast

I dont do all my grocery shopping here but I like that it's close by my home to grab something quick if needed and meat sales are good from time to time. Always a nice clean store when I visit and employees are friendly and helpful.

Have a great variety of products, same as Martin's, Weis, and others. Closer to my home. Very helpful people. Not crowded all the time. Good place to do grocery shopping 😉

Love this little grocery store. They have alot ot items that I can't find anywhere else. They have the best bakery products.
