Wow was not expecting all this! When you walk in, you think it’s a small hardware store until you go around the corner and it opens up into this huge store ! Very deceiving from the outside . They have things that no big store could provide it absolutely fantastic. I’d rather go here than any large Home Depot or Lowe’s. Much better. ! It’s fantastic they even have a charming gift shop upstairs!

Absolutely the best !! This store has everything you’ll ever need. Go see Linda she is honest, concerned and so very knowledgeable and helpful. Bought Clark and Lexington paint at a great price recommended by Linda and it was the best I have ever used. Covers great, hardly drips, goes on so easily and looks like a million dollars. Have never been disappointed leaving this hardware store, they are all very nice and always ready to help. Try them please!!

The elderly lady who helped me was very pleasant and knew exactly what I needed. This was the best experience there so far. It is a small town hardware store that was bought out by a chain company. They kept the old town feel of the place for the most part, but some of the newer gentlemen that work there are a bit unfriendly and condescending to those whom aren't a handy person.

What I love about this place is that it is throw back to the time when you didn't have the big box stores and everything was done in a smaller more personal setting. You went to the local hardware store and the staff would recognize you say good morning and how can I help you , ask about your day, share a joke or two and get the stuff you needed and be on your way, and this would happen each and every time you needed something. Yes honey I'll run to the hardware store, as long as it's Steele's. I hope this never changes...just a quick bonus they have a really cool gift shop upstairs full of holiday decorations, great woman's handbags, lotions creams and more. Something for everyone. 😊

Very friendly staff to help you out with anything you need. If they don't have it they are happy to bring it from their Tannersville store for the next day. Wonderful gift shop upstairs that changes with the seasons. Large selection of Carhartt clothing for him and her.

If I could give more than 5 starts I would! The workers were extremely helpful and kind. We went out for two snowblowers and they had them and helped us load them. They even helped us when we were in a pickle with transporting them. Such hospitable people and we will definitely be back. Thank you guys !!! :)

Always the best service and good conversation about their wares, the weather, and the topics of the day. Genuine people with superb goods: antiques, art, furniture, chachkies, quality hardware, exceptional paints and stains, and unbelievably good lumber. You need to stop to just take it all in. The place has the feel of a long ago general store, but with exquisite gifts and fare. We have purchased a fair number of things from there over the years. A fine Portuguese Oak cupboard, shaker ladder back chair, stains, paint, timber, and bees wax products. Always a new treat every time you go in.

Anything you could possibly think of, this place has it. Great old historic bldg with aisles and areas to check out new and exciting finds. From wood screws to purses. They have it all and great customer service.

Such a beautiful store upstairs and outside Very very friendly staff. I used to go to Walmart in mount pocono for propane bc I assumed it was much cheaper but it's not and I would be waiting g anywhere up to half an hour to 45 mins outside in the cold for someone to help even after asking.multiple times. At ace I'm in and out and they are sooo pleasant to be around and much cheaper! Plus they have beautiful jewlery upstairs!
