No longer Barry’s Bakery Nook just The Bakery Nook……. I have been buying donuts and cakes here for years. I’m all for trial and error but months into new ownership now and all I can say is-it is disappointing for sure. Donuts are no longer fluffy and with a decent amount of icing but totally opposite. Donuts are pretty flat, smaller and little icing. Where’s the love of donuts?I am here at least once a month if not twice. And although that may not seem like a lot, I drive a distance to get there. At least half hour one way on a good traffic day.Barry use to sell me extra icing and when I did ask the last few times in, it was like I was asking for something unobtainable and free. And the new people put on less icing.Most of the worker bees there are not pleasant at all. With all the goodies there surrounding them, one would think they should be smiling ear to ear.I hope by writing this, they will see the errors of their ways. They bought the original recipe so why not do your best to duplicate.Photo below is of donut purchased today. I wish I had one from when it was Barry owned it so one could compare for themselves.It’s been several months in a row that I have been going since new owners have fully taken over. I keep thinking I went on a bad day. It’s been different days and times and I’m sad to say, it is not worth the drive for me any longer.

Back in June of 2022, was my Bridal Shower! My mom & the bridesmaids ended up getting my shower cake from the Bakery Nook- i’m pretty picky with cake, but it was spot on, red velvet with a nice buttercream not to sweet not to heavy icing! It was perfect ! I would recommend this place to anyone local for Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthdays, Graduations, etc!

I have been going to the Bakery Nook for years. Unfortunately not as often as I would like to because I don't live close by. They have the best muffins, hands down! They have a wonderful variety. Each one is a work of art & looks more like a beautiful cupcake. They have other baked goods there too like cakes, danish, pastries, cookies & dog biscuits. The owner & everyone who works there are the nicest people. So, if you're ever in the area & even if you're not, check out the Bakery Nook! You will definitely not be disappointed!

Barry (the owner) was wonderful to work with. After many calls and dealing with several mediocre to downright difficult vendors, for our May wedding, this was breath of fresh air. He worked with us on what we needed, packaged everything with our packages and delivered promptly. When I shifted my original order and asked him to add heart cut-outs to our pies, he didn't blink and gave us exactly what I asked for. We ordered 300 mini pies for our dessert table and another 60 larger 3 inch pies (in 5 flavors; cherry, strawberry, pumpkin, lemon, apple and blueberry) for wedding favors. He even labeled each flavor for us. Everyone loved them and we ran out of the most popular flavors. They were both pretty and delicious. We could not recommend this bakery enough.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! I’ve never been into this place but always saw it when I got my hair done and I thought “hey, might as well check it out”. Went in and saw the TONNN of options of delicious pastures this place had. They had donuts, regular muffins, specialty muffins, lobster claws, literally everythinggg!! It smelt amazing because they were making fresh pastries!! Fairly priced and an abundance of choices!! 100% recommend this place!! Truly truly delicious and always a must have when I’m in the area !!

I recently ordered a cake for my daughters bridal shower and was very pleased with how it turned out. Barry was very helpful and great to work with. The cake turned out just as we discussed, tasted great, and was a hit with our guests. And of course I had to pick up some of their doughnuts on my visits there. So yummy! The Bakery Nook is the best bakery around! The cakes not only taste amazing but the decorating always exceeds my expectations! The staff is always super friendly. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called at the last minute to order and they are always happy to accommodate me. The only con is that’s I always end up leaving with more than I came for because the donuts and cookies just look (and taste) too good to resist!

I live about an hour away, otherwise I would definitely be there more often! We ordered a Smash Cake for my daughter's first birthday, and not only did it come out wonderful, but it tasted a lot better than I anticipated, especially for something made specifically to be smooshed into oblivion! They were super helpful as well, dropping the cake off to the photography studio when I could not get there in time (yay, snow). Definitely recommend.

I got my wedding cake, along with filled wedding cake cupcakes, from here and they were phenomenal! I chose chocolate with cannoli filling and white with lemon filling. I looked all over the Valley for a place to accommodate our wedding that was postponed and rescheduled and the Bakery Nook worked with us the most. I’m so glad we chose the Bakery Nook! They made an amazing sheet cake with a hand drawn golden retriever puppy on it and paw prints all over it for my daughter's third birthday party. Not only was the cake absolutely delicious! But the detail in the puppy was mind blowing! They do not disappoint ! I highly recommend! Oh and the price for such a detailed time consuming cake was awesome! Definitly getting all my cakes from them! Amazing!

I visited this location with interest in sampling some of their sweets for my daughter’s shower. I ordered their cannolis and not one was left on the tray at the shower. I’ll definitely be ordering for the other events. Their prices are reasonable and they have a wide assortment of quality items. Bother Barry and his wife are treasures.

I've been coming by The Bakery Nook every few Fridays to grab a dozen donuts for my coworkers, and I haven't been disappointed. Everyone loves how light the dough is, and how satisfying the fillings can be. I drove an hour to go here with my boyfriend. I got 2 dozen doughnuts, a cheese Danish, and a cinnamon roll. When I tell you these are the best doughnuts you will ever have in your life, I truly mean it. There doughnuts are fantastic! I was speaking to an older man and woman who I think were the owners, and they were so polite and honestly some of the nicest people I have spoken to. I hope to get my birthday cake from here! I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I’m moving out of the area and I feel like I owe this bakery a stellar review. My family and I came to the Lehigh Valley about four years ago but it took about two years for me to learn about The Bakery Nook. One day I decided to go in and just sample a bit of what they had: cookies, banana bread, muffins, cupcakes, etc. After getting home and trying the baked goods, my wife and I felt our eyes almost pop out of our head. They were utterly delicious. All of it. Like walking back from the Garden of Eden, if it were populated by trees offering soft, fluffy goodness. Needless to say, we went back. And back. And back. And back. Any excuse was an excuse to buy more of what this shop was offering.My favorite was the banana bread muffins while my wife loved the cupcakes. We would order tons of baked goods every week and I was a regular there. One day though, I stopped going all together, never showed up again, and I feel very bad about it. The reason why is because my wife and I, being health nuts, stepped on the scale after a few weeks of constant eating and noticed that we had regained all of the pounds we lost during the prior year. We did the only thing we could do, stop cold turkey. It was incredibly tough. Every time we drove by, we would nearly burst into tears wishing we could grab just another box of baked goods. I’m not exaggerating about the tears part. But, deep down, we knew that it would just open Pandora’s Box and we’d find ourselves surprised at the bathroom scale one more time.Moral of the story: this place is sooooo good that it turned two health and gym nuts into much heavier people because we lacked the control to put down the donuts, muffins, cookies, and cupcakes. This place is the real deal. A+++++. The best bakery not only of the Lehigh Valley but possibly of the US and of my lifetime.

I recommended my husband try this bakery for my birthday cake as it was convenient and on his way home. Years ago I had a cake from here and it was delicious. This year, my birthday cake was awesome. My husband was impressed by the store and the staff. I am sure we will be back!

I own the photography studio across the street and I tell every single first birthday cake smash parent to use these guys. Their cakes are THE BEST around! No joke. And affordable to say the least. Love when I can sneak out and over for a treat!

This is a very nice little bake shop. Their products are excellent! And the owner is very friendly. In fact there were other customers in there and we all had a nice time chatting. It's a very homey, friendly kind of place. I had a 93 year old lady with me and they were very kind to her.

Of course we're disgruntled Barry. You had us move to be closer to the bakery with our 3 year old son, then let us go for something that had nothing to do with our job performance. So when you went on vacation for 2 weeks with all the other decorators, Corinn was just fine to take care of all the cake orders for you with no problems. Stop lying to cover yourself for lying to all your customers about your products. So 4 cakes, while taking care of all the customers and making all the donuts, while the other decorators just made cakes. We worked for months, you went on vacation, had us move, then came back and let us go. So we were used to cover your vacation? Did you consider you left us with no way to pay our bills on a new apartment AND WE HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD SON! You advertise German and Hungarian old world recipes and mostly everything came out of boxes. We may be disgruntled, but we have proof of what we are saying. You are a terrible person. We asked numerous times about moving and this is what you do to a young couple with a child. You never had to remake Corinns cakes, you only had her do 2 fondant cakes, and the customer is still raving about the cake. You don't take fondant cakes because according to your wife, fondant is disgusting. How can you tell your customers that? When customers ask about fondant cakes, you put them down.

Just had my first visit to this bakery but after trying a delicious assortment of donuts it definitely won't be my last. Truly worth visiting and indulging!
