We stayed in cabin 10 for our 25th anniversary at the beginning of October and even though the location is fantastic the overall experience for the price was mediocre. We rented that cabin to have some peace and ended watching a backhoe go back & forth all day, over and over again. That and having a dirty bedspread was just really disappointing. For $260/night we just expected a quieter, more peaceful stay.

I have been coming here with my dad since 1972. Gene once managed the place. Once a year visit in the Fall. The place never change, and never gets old. It's a special place that don't age. I canoe that river several time back in the day and hiked many trails. The Fire Towler and the view.. Gee Wiz, breath taking. I will ALWAYS visit Cook Forrest and stay at Cook Riverside Cabins. Thank you for all the great memories. And many more to come. Peace!

You will not find a nicer place or experience than the Cook Riverside Cabins!! Everything was Beautiful!!! The owners of this Beautiful resort work really really hard to ensure your stay is comfortable, fun and relaxing. We just love this place and are planning another week next year in the same cabin. I truly cannot say enough good about this place and it's owners. If you like the out of doors then this place is for you!! Feel free to message me if you have questions. Check them out!! You won't be sorry.Noteworthy details: We didn't really need to bring much. Most of what we needed was supplied for us. Personal toiletries and other personal items are all that you will need.

We visited a relative a few afternoons when they rented one of these inviting cabins. ( I did not spend the night)So cute. I was very impressed A sweet little kitchen with a sink and running water, full stove/oven, a microwave, full size refrigerator, and a small bit of counter space. Dishes glasses and other items… A nice table that would fit 6 comfortably. The living room is cozy with a working fire place. Seating for about 5 or 6Two nice size bedrooms each would sleep abt 3 people And a bath with tub showerThe porch is very welcoming with picnic table..A fire pit outside for roasting marshmallows.I really liked the cabin.

Love this place!! Owners are wonderful and the cabins are perfect!! Great weekend getaway to unwind and relax. No cellphone service and woodburning fireplaces!! The Clarion River is right outside the cabins and is beautiful any time of the year. When our house caught fire, we took a weekend to get away from the stress and the owner gave us a wonderful cabin perfect for 2 and a night free. We couldn't have asked for anything better or better people at the time. Your missing out if you don't stay here!!!

Rented cabin 15. It was very nice with lots of room and outside fire pit area had chairs and 3 tables. Wood is provided at no charge! This is probably the 4th girls trip to the forest and we like the Riverside Cabins best.

The cabins are great and reasonably priced. The area is so beautiful and so tranquil. There are a ton of things to do and everything you need close at hand. The staff are very friendly and will do whatever they can to assist you with whatever you need. I love coming here and hate leaving. This is a fantastic place to vacation with the family! I highly recommend it!

We just stayed there over the weekend. We had such an amazing time. The cabins were gorgeous and came with everything we needed...except bath towels which we didn't remember to bring LOL. The staff at the shop were very nice. The area is stunning. Tbey are extremely pet friendly. We brought both our dogs and they had a great time. We will definitely be back ans highly recommend. We stayed in cabin 7

In-laws family has been going here for 35 years, myself for the better part of 20. There have been several different owners over that time. While the past owners tried to keep it simple, the current owners are adding conviences to the cabins. Roads are now paved instead of rutted gravel, some cabins have wifi, satellite TV, and some have ac. There is within a short walk access to post office, gift shop, finger foods and ice cream, canoe and float rentals and more. Also very close is lots and lots of hiking trails, of various levels of difficulty. I think the most important thing to remember is no cell phone reception. Weather you find this a good or bad thing is up to you.

Wonderful people at a great location on the Clarion River. Private cabins are a little long in the tooth but they work to keep them comfortable. Free fire wood and discount at Pale Whale rentals are great features. Only problem we had was that the previous renter had left food encrusted on most pots, pans, dishes and silverware so all had to be scrubbed before use. Other than that, a great time was had by all and we will return.

Such a charming relaxing place. Got engaged here so it has an extra soft spot in my heart. Plenty to do in the area as far as outdoors activities. The surrounding area is simply beautiful. Also perfect for just holding up and getting cozy in one of the cabins.

A lovely set of cabins tucked away in beautiful Cooks Forest right next to the Clarion River. We've stayed here twice so far and have had fantastic weekends! The cabins are well equipped and have just about everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay. The dry goods store sells a wide array of wonderful gifts and had a few of the essentials in case you forget something. Our family loves this campground and plans to continue making it our go-to destination for our annual camping trip!

Nice place for a weekends getaway. We stayed in Cabin - 21, which is not really a cabin but more of a farmhouse type. This cabin has a big backyard which was very helpful for the kid's outdoor activities. Overall we had a great time.

Easy access to the highway. Clean cabins. Plenty of wood for the fire pit. Refrigerator. Dorm freezer. Small kitchen. Dish tv. No internet or wifi or cell signal in property other than at the lodge or highway, just an FYI. Close to the beautiful river and scenery. Totally worth it!

We stayed during the off-season (early december) two weekday nights and I have to say they are seriously overpriced. For the price they charge, it better be nice and there were just so many problems. We stayed in cabin 10 which was advertised as the "honeymoon cabin, but it was not private as there were a few windows that didn't have coverings. The carpet in the bedroom was severely stained and looked like it hadn't been replaced in many years. The hot water from the tap was scalding hot and I mean almost boiling like it could actually burn you. Not safe for kids. They didn't show any pictures of the kitchen/dining area on the website but it was so limited in space to the point where we couldn't use the dining table and there was no counter space available other than where you would put the drip tray. It is not a full kitchen, as described,in but a kitchenette with a mini fridge and a mini stove. Those are my main complaints but there were other problems that I wouldn't have cared about if it hadn't been so expensive. We had a nice trip overall but $200+ a night for a tiny 1br cabin in December is ridiculous.

Spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in Cabin 4. It was rainy and cold but the cabin is perfect for staying indoors by the fire. Very clean and up to date. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

I gave a deposit for a cabin last October to be sure I got the last week available for this summer. My husband suffered a stroke in November. I got a letter in January stating my deposit was due by February. I called and they forgot to post my deposit. I explained that, due to my husband being bedridden, we would not be able to travel. They would not refund the deposit but I was told to buy the insurance and they would send me the paperwork that I needed. I bought the insurance with the information they gave to me. Insurance denied the claim because the canin was already booked. I was given the option of using the deposit within a year. My husband will never be able to make the trip to PA!!! I am out the deposit, even though they were able to rent the cabin that week, and the cost for insurance.

Every year our family spends the Memorial Day weekend at Cook Forest State Park. Staying at the Cook Riverside Cabins has been a family tradition for 3 generations!! A river ride from the Pale Whale is an annual must and we always recieve a discount just for staying in the cabins! All cabins are well kept and stocked with firewood for campfires. The staff is there to please any request. I have nothing but great things to say about the location and cabins. They have given our family countless memories!

Very nice cabins near the Clarion river. Located right behind the Pale Whale ( a dairy isle ) and the dry goods store, these cabins are very nice and very convenient. There is a playground full of toddler appropriate toys and a huge swing! If you want to spend your day playing in the river, the location of these cabins means you can just walk there.

Nice cozy cabins at a good price. My girlfriend loved the fireplace. We had a little issue when we got there, but the matter was handled promptly and I was compisated for the inconvenience. Will come back again.

We have been here many times now and never a disappointment. Alway clean and well keep. Matt will do all he can to make your stay memorable. Lots of trails, canoeing, kayaking and Hershey Ice Cream yummie. Great family or couples fun.

These cabins are beautiful. I love watching the fire in the fireplace and just getting away from the normal distractions and the staff is so polite and helpful. We will most definitely be back!!

They have tons to offer here, although we've only taken advantage of their ice cream stand so far.They have a HUGE selection of ice cream. The portions are humongous and the prices are great.

We rented Cabin 1 for the weekend and it was perfect! The cabin was updated, spacious, and very clean! We'll definitely be coming back again soon!
