I'm an Instacart shopper and I'm at Martins a few times a day. They have high quality items and a lot of top brand names and varieties to choose from. Their produce always looks fresh and great. The employees are always very helpful whenever I need help finding a certain product. Thanks to all Martins employees that help me out and for helping me to make my customers happy.

This is retarded. Is this really what you call a self checkout? After waiting 5 min and no one ever took care of me, I decided to just abandon my already scanned and bagged items. I'm never going back to this retarded place.

The new self checkout is horrible. May never shop here again. When they force you to use it and you have a big order it end up being nothing the manager over rides because you can not remove your bags until you pay because everything is weighed. If they want you to use the self checkout that fine but don’t make it an inconvenience. NO OTHER STORE DOES THIS!!!

The so-called "hot bar" at this store is utterly atrocious. The three little pieces of fried chicken looked like they've been in that roaster since August. I wouldn't have tried to feed what appeared to be mac 'n cheese to my dog! There were no containers available to put the food in (if you were so inclined) and the 2 people that I thought worked there were having a conversation about a party they had been to recently. However, the newly installed beer aisle was fully stocked and lit up like a Christmas tree. As a grocery store, I do believe you should put more effort into selling decent "prepared food" (as it's touted on your Martin's parent website). The last thing this community needs is yet another place to buy alcohol. The only reason I did not go to Wal*Mart is your store is slightly closer to my home. However, in the future, I will never be burnt (pun intended) again. Wally World had everything I needed... hot fried chicken, multiple sides and friendly employees that communicated with me instead of each other... good luck in the future Martin's.

To be honest I didn't even know this place existed until I saw the sign for it. I would say the store is comparable with places like Shop N Save and Giant Eagle. They have a fuel station on the same property. They have a rewards program that is free to join. I only went there, actually circled back, because I asked another grocer if they had Boar Head ham. The response was no, but to try Martin's. There are only two places I know of that sell Boar Head ham, Martin's and the commissary. The difference is that Martin's has a huge inventory of various Boar Head products, cheese, chicken, ham, etc. I'll warn you though that Board Head is definitely not cheap wherever you buy it. It is simply the best you can buy. I recommend the teriyaki chicken, but you may only wish to buy less than 1/4 pound of it. At this time that specific one is close to $15.00/pound. The average Boar Head products seem to be close to $10 to $15 per pound. If I have to choose between eating candy or Boar Head, as an example, I would definitely choose Boar Head every time. I really only went into Martin's for the Boar Head because it is virtually impossible to find. It definitely is not sold locally where I live. Maybe next time I stop at Martin's I can do a more in-depth analysis since my focus was mainly the meat and cheese department this time. One more thing, I have a relative who makes me face palm often. That relative thought Boar Head ham was made out of an actual boar's head. I had to explain that Boar Head is the name of the company. Their ham is ham. Their chicken is chicken. Their cheese is cheese. I suppose if you never heard of Boar Head products you might think such a thing, but I had to hold back my laughter and retain my composure as I explained. I felt like I was explaining it to a kid who kept asking the same question. Before you ask, no, they are quite capable of hearing and thinking. They just have selective thinking and hearing. lol........ Even though I explained three or four times that the name Boar Head is a company name my relative still kept thinking it was actual boar's head in all their products. I'm still chuckling as I am writing this for you. If I tell you once then you shouldn't still be confused and continually ask me if you have the ability to hear and think clearly. 😂

All I can say is I wish there was one in Mt. Pleasant! Love this store. We need one of these in Mt. Pleasant somebody. Who can put one in? Also, a steak house would be awesome!!!!

There is life without WalM**t...We've set a goal this year to eliminate WalM**t from our lives. And we're finding there are much better places to spend our hard earned money.And Martin's is high on that list.The access to the stores lot is better, parking is better & safer.The appearance of the store front is more welcoming. The inside of the store it just has a more relaxing, friendlier and pleasant atmosphere.Pricing is a little bit more on some things. But if your a smart shopper the prices over a month with the sales do beat out WalM**t.But the quality of the deli, meat department and bakery are just untouchable by WalM**t. There is just no comparison... The few cents more per item are well worth the price you pay for this level of quality...There's is a very wide selection of brands and there is the store brand also. And the employees here are very pleasing to engage with compared to the competition.When was the last time you walked out of a WalM**T feeling satisfied with your shopping experience? And felt your purchase was appreciated?Shopping here will make you see a big difference in the shopping experience your accustom to....

You have to watch your receipt when you TRY to get their deals ( digital coupons or Bonus card deals ) . I was there yesterday and caught 2 things they owed me money back for and looked at my slip again Today and found another one but decided not to go back for my refund. They had a deal for 3 Prego spagetti sauce for $3 dollars and one of my sauces conveniently didn't scan so I ended up paying almost $6 for the 2 that did scan.

The BEST grocery store around BY FAR!!! Fantastic produce section, best combos of prices/healthy selection/store location. See adjacent to the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, with Adirondack shelters, trail, yough river park, abandoned trestle, monarch butterfly gardens, and the Youghiogheny River! Out back enjoying the view right now, about to take a stroll and pick up some blown down trash... ✌👍

Love it here. I work healthcare night shift so I go around 7am when they first open. The donuts are fresh and delicious at this time. I always make sure to hit their bakery up! I also like that I get discounts with my martins card. It's rarely busy during the week which I like.

Didn't have the best experience picking up catering & when I went upfront to pay the paperwork the gentleman in the back gave me had no barcodes on it & waited some time for the woman behind customer service to come back to the register. Not sure why all of this wasn't prepared before I arrived to pick up my aunt's catering for a memorial dinner?

Great food store, very accommodating to bicyclists on the Great Allegheny Passage. Public restrooms are well-maintained, food selection is awesome… We camp nearby and buy all our food at Martin’s.

Such a clean and welcoming supermarket! We stopped in on our way to camp and were pleasantly surprised with the selection and variety. You can even grab a piece of fruit on your way in to munch on while in store so you don't shop hungry!

Didn't actually make a visit today..I had a question,so I called in. The guys I spoke with was not very informative about something as simple as...when a purchase is made,and card is being used,is there an option to receive cash back. He said he was not sure..so I asked if he could please ask someone else who may know. He replied with he is the best qualified worker to respond to this question...wow!!

A great store along the GAP. The fried chicken is pretty damn good for a grocery store. Hit the stop after a long day of hiking. Clean and staff was very friendly.

This was my first visit here- employees were very friendly and willing to help me get a Martin's card for discounts & helped me navigate around the store to find what I needed. (They do seem a bit expensive, especially if you don't have a loyalty card. )
