Only visited the cafe but the experience was great! The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The cafe is super cute and has a nice view of the river from the porch outside. Lots of vegetarian options which was appreciated. The food was a great value, very filling. The staff hooked us up with a big sundae for only $3.50 which was nice after a long bike ride. Would definitely recommend.Food & drinks: Great vegetarian options. Good prices. Pleasant staff.

We went to falling water today and before we left asked our guide for a dinner recommendation. This was one of the two places she suggested so we took the ride through the park to go. Parking was easy in a lot, always worth a star. The place was rustic and decorated comfy cozy.We enjoyed a table for two on the porch which was a great place to relax and dine looking out onto the river.Maggie our server was attentive and efficient. Our salads where fresh and they had blue cheese crumbles which always makes me happy. They did not have Russian or French dressing which did not make my husband happy. He ordered the special beef tips in a mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes that he enjoyed. I ordered the clam stuffed shrimp which was tasty but not as hot as I would have liked. The bill was reasonable. If I lived closer I could see myself coming back for lunch often.

Truck stop food quality. Way over cooked pork chops n canned green beans. Wine was well priced n service was good. Food.... terrible.

Rather disappointed. Out riding on motorcycles with friends yesterday & decided to stop for late lunch. When we walked in with vests that clearly stated combat veterans, it was rather clear that we were not the “proper type” of clientele. Were told it was quite a wait to sit outside, which was fine (we sat inside). Took a good bit of time to be waited on. Food was good but a little on the cool side. A note to management: please do not judge merely on appearance. 3 out of 4 were combat veterans, which means they fought & served our country for your freedoms. 1 is a Purple Heart recipient. We are all professionals of jobs that you know nothing about. Just a little more courtesy & respect would have been appreciated.Sincerely,The wife of a proud veteran

This is my second year in a row visiting ohiopyle, and this place is by far THE best restaurant and food in the area. The food is amazing and the restaurant is so unique. I didn’t stay at the bed and breakfast. Just the cafe. I waited all year to come back today and the peanut butter pie was RIDICULOUSLY amazing. Everything was. Thank you!Food & drinks: Amazing.

Visited this little gem after an afternoon bike ride down from Ohiopyle, and enjoyed dinner on their covered front porch. Surprising that such a small establishment would offer such an expansive menu - impressive. Although the fish sandwich I had was tasty, it was quite small and was surely just microwaved from a frozen filet - not great. However, everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals. One oddity were the chips served on the side, as each of us only received 6-9 individual chips - not kidding. Either don't serve them at all, or give me a half plate full, eh? Lastly, they're now charging customers 4% for using a credit card. In my mind, that's the cost of doing business (like rent, raw materials, gas, water, electric, etc.), is it not? If credit cards weren't accepted here, I wouldn't have visited at all. Anyway, I did enjoy my visit and would likely return.

Adorable little B&B on the river. We were able to make a last minute reservation coming off the GAP trail after a long day’s ride and felt like we found a gem. We were not planning on getting dinner at the attached cafe, but the menu was too hard to resist and the food turned out to be absolutely delicious. Definitely would recommend to anyone passing through.

Had a nice visit to the River's Edge for dinner and an overnight. Met the proprietor who was very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was yummy with great service. The B and B was pretty good. The breakfast was self-serve and supplied well. Fresh muffins were brought in the night before. The only hiccup was the mattress...not very comfortable...time for an upgrade.

We ate a late lunch at this Confluence restaurant. It is not too far off the GAP trail, and the food quality, service, and atmosphere were well worth the additional partial mile. We only ate; no hotel stay.

If you're visiting Farmington, Uniontown – heck, even Pittsburgh – take a trip to Confluence for a meal at River's Edge Cafe!Nearby activities: Yough Lake, Ohiopyle white water rafting, biking, running, fishing.Safety: Ultra quiet and secure.Walkability: Beautiful, quiet, traffic-less.Food & drinks: Superb cocktails, appetizers and meals.

We were looking for a place to stay last minute after a long day of riding on the GAP trail and River’s Edge turned out to be the perfect spot. The b&b was cozy and very fairly priced and came with a full breakfast, tea and coffee, along with a covered and locked garage to store our bikes. The owner and staff were very friendly as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Love this place! Food is excellent and so is the atomosphere. We had reservations with another couple for the outside seating. It was a beautiful day. We ordered the gouda dip and fried green beans for the appitizers. I had the confluence chicken sandwhich and it was soooo good...with avacodo and cole slaw on it. The others had chicken Quessdilla, and the bicyclist wrap. Oh and dont want to forget to mention that the servers were very efficient and friendly.Everyone was pleased with their food and we will be back ...hopefully on our next bike riding adventure🙂

This is an excellent little gem of a place to eat. Have biked past it many times on GAP trail rides from Ohiopyle to Confluence but never stopped. Excellent food, service and friendly. Given that we had 20 people in our group and they already had a crowd.Had a reservation and were seated promptly. Amy was polite and kept drinks filled as well as kept us informed about our orders. The food was surprising! Didn't expect the quality and the homemade potato chips were great. I will stop in again when I am in the area for sure. This is a hidden gem for sure.

Had lunch at the restaurant while biking the GAP. This place is super cute and the food is delicious. Lots of variety to choose from too! Lots of outdoor seating, covered for when it's raining. Even more outdoor seating for when it's not raining. I felt a little under dressed but they clearly cater to cyclists based on the ample bike racks out front. The staff was super friendly too!

Well we had 2 dogs with is. One had his service dog vest and card, the other was a 4 month old trading in progress. We were told to go sit outside in the yard. We had to look at a menu attached to a tree. Our food was brought to is on paper plates, quality and quantity wasn't as nice as it has been in the past. Made to feel like unwanted guests. Won't go back.

Had dinner and really enjoyed the overall experience. The service was great and the food fresh and plentiful. I had the New York strip steak, mashed sweet potatoes with a side salad. The lemon cake with vanilla ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal

Stopped here with our family on our way back from a road trip. We were looking for a place with outside seating where we could have our dog with us.The outside seating was fantastic, great decor and views of the river (just bring some mosquito repellent).Service was good even though our food was ‘to go’. The servers took good care of us.We only got sandwiches but they were outstanding! We got a couple of ribeye steak sandwiches, couple of The Brunch and a Turkey Bacon Avocado. Everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly. The price is a bit upscale but arguably worth it. (We’ll see how we feel about it when we stop by again). The place was great; it was a memorable spot for a delicious lunch. The ONLY real issue was the taste of the water and the fountain drinks. The boys called the taste ‘florida water’ (maybe it’s just the taste of water in Confluence - tastes like a turkey foot) 😉

April 29, 2022We had an awesome lunch at this lovely restaurant, on our way to Ohiopyle. The bean burger was delicious, served on a soft, warm bun with smoked Gouda cheese and tahini dressing. The sweet potato fries were fresh and delicious. The chicken salad with raisins and walnuts was served on toasted bread, also delicious. And we had a beautiful view of the river. We plan to come back for dinner tonight. Quite a find!

River's Edge B&B was our first stop on our bike trip on the Great Allegheny Passage. The River's Edge B&B is located in the small town of Confluence, PA. It is a charming little place to stay. It's clean and comfortable for a great price. The owner is very kind and helpful. We started having car trouble a few miles before arriving at River's Edge. We arrived for our overnight reservation just as the restaurant was closing for the night. When I went inside to check-in for our reservation and mentioned that we were having car problems I truly could not believe how amazing the staff was. They put me on the phone with Allen, the local mechanic who agreed to come look at the car at 9:15 PM. We were originally going to be dropped off by my husband and mom who had planned on driving home that night however the car needed a new alternator so driving home in the dark wasn't an option. We had to add another room to our reservation. The staff offered to make us food even though the restaurant was closed. The next morning Allen drove my husband a few towns away to get an alternator that he would install that afternoon. It was late morning when they returned without the alternator because it had to be ordered and would be in around 2 PM. Since the car issue was putting a wrench in our plans we decided to add another day to our trip. Unfortunately, River's Edge B&B was booked for that night but the owner, Ann Marie was kind enough to help us find a place to stay. With help from the amazing people in this quant little town our sleeping arrangements were made for the night and with the promise that the car would be fixed later that day my son and I were now able to start our 3 day bike trip on the GAP.

We had a lovely dinner at River's Edge Cafe B&B upon the recommendation of our host at The Turkey Foot Inn. The food itself was very good, although what I think of as old fashioned traditional American. My husband had the special salad with salmon, which he said was really good, and I had the rainbow trout, which was simple, delicious, and fresh. The best thing about our experience was the riverside setting and general ambiance. We were seated on the wrap around porch of the B&B parallel and closest to the river, and surrounded by a lush cottage garden bursting with blooms. The service was good. I would recommend dining here for a relaxing meal in a beautiful setting.

Truly a great place to stop on your bike trip and eat. The menu was impressive. The view spectacular. We sat on the outside porch facing the river. Our server (Amy) was super friendly. We'll be back... The Long Island Ice Tea was off the scale! I had to order a second one after my meal and sit under the beautiful maple tree and enjoy the moment before jumping back on the trail!

Perfect atmosphere. Ate on the porch. Super friendly and helpful staff. The blackened catfish with Cajun spice and the creamy shrimp creole were exquisite. And finishing off with English lemon cake was perfect.
