I went yo dollar general, to purchase a backpack and few other items there. The backpack I was trying to purchase was not priced and the was with backpacks that were priced at $5. When I saw the total amount I was confused because she said the backpack was $15 and there was no price tax saying that and I told her there should be a price tag stating that it’s $15 so customers can know. Her response was I know the prices with A attitude and frustration because there was a line being held up because she didn’t take care of me properly. Terrible customer service. i’m definitely gonna start going to a different Dollar General or go to their competitions because of the service was unprofessional.

The company sucks but the staff there is great, I see the manager heading in almost every morning at 3am and she’s always there when I come back in the afternoon to get my drinks. The manager works very hard, and so does the staff. I will always appreciate hard working people

This store sucks! It's never stocked, and it never accepts the digital coupons when you enter your phone number. And the staff get smart when you ask about the coupons. Wish they had the old managers back that were here over a year ago

Actually a lot better then some other dollar generals. It was actually clean things around the shelves. When you go to other Dollar generals there's usually boxes everywhere and cards everywhere and you can't barely get around. This place was cleaned up and nice everything was presented nicely there weren't many boxes laying around I was impressed.

These employees work their butts off to provide for customers. It may seem like they aren't fast enough or don't care, but trust me they are doing the best they can, granted they are understaffed and have a huge workload split between a total of about 5 or so employees to do EVERYTHING. Keep up the good work the store will improve in time! Already much better than a year ago! ☺️

Pay attention with the lady at the cashier when u get ur change back she always act like she gives u the right change 💵 but count it before u leave the store. She did it couple times and I acted I didn’t pay attention next time u will be in trouble OK

I would like to start by thanking the town of Columbia for the past 4 years of business. It has been my pleasure serving you as the store manager of this location. Unfortunately, as time went on I no longer had the same vision as Dollar General. So I will be opening my own business.Unfortunately, Dollar General is all about making money for its share holders and has no care or concern for its employee's mental & physical health or safety. The lack of payroll issued to stores puts heavy work loads (that list gets bigger monthly) on the staff, resulting in injuries. This is occurring in stores in every state. The logistics of Dollar General is poorly managed which results in empty shelves, poor inventories, late trucks, no trucks.I am very grateful however for the friendships I have developed over the years with my customers.

I had a nice time shopping here. They have some good sale items here. The store was clean and well stocked, and the staff was polite and friendly. I recommend shopping here. You might be able to save some money on items that you typically purchase elsewhere.

Prices are comparable to Walmart which is handy to have right here in Columbia. The store is cramped and it is difficult to maneuver through the isles. Sometimes items do not have prices and obtaining a price can be a challenge since the store is regularly understaffed. Occasionally you stop in for a single item only to wait ten minutes to get through the line. The greatest redeeming factor is the friendly employees. Several of them are very nice despite being kept very busy during their entire shift. Again, very much like Walmart, I go there despite low customer service expectations because they have a good selection at a good prices. Overall, the few select friendly employees, competitive prices, and convenient location keep me coming back.

Online it says they have a western union. The employees had no clue how to use it so one called the manager on speaker phone and he basically said if I couldn't figure out how to use the app then "oh well". The only reason I even stop in from time to time is because I live in columbia. But this is the most unorganized store in town!!!! Learn to do your job people!!!

Every time I go there they don't have things stocked. During busy periods only one cashier is working, while other employees seem to be doing nothing.
