The staff at Columbia Animal Hospital are kind, compassionate and accommodating. I have two fur babies with issues and very difficult to diagnose what was happening with them. Dr. Bartlett tried various treatments and research to help my cat and dog . Of course with everything cost can be an issue, my only recommendation would be to go over cost prior to treating. With that said, I highly recommend Columbia Animal Hospital.

Dr. Bartlett is truly a life savior when it comes to animals. He operated on my pup waylon twice & did a terrific job! he was super honest & kept calling in to keep me updated on everything. I have 4 animals & he has shown me nothing but pure respect! my animals feel safe around him. I highly recommend this office! Very genuine people that work here! The front desk staff is very genuine as well & pleasant to deal with! Sometimes there is a wait past your visit time but i promise you won’t regret taking any of your fur babies to Columbia. Such knowledgeable staff!

Everyone has taken AMAZING care of my kitty. He was also the first vet that didn't make me feel like it was my fault my cat was so thin. He told me to test her for food allergies, which she came up allergic to so many things. They also made sure I could have her home for the holidays. The care she received, the communication, and full disclosure of cost were clear and upfront. They were also about to get us in last min on several occasions. I'm very grateful for the staff and will continue to bring my cat here for care.6/26/23Still absolutely love bringing my cat here. They recently had the place renovated, and it is beautiful. Your animals will be in great care with Robert and his staff.

Took my cat here for an emergency visit. They were able to diagnose and treat her quickly. Took her back for her follow-up. All the staff were kind. I would highly recommend this vet office to anyone looking for a good vet for their pet

Dr. Bartlett and his staff at Columbia animal hospital were absolutely wonderful. My puppy simba broke his leg In two spots pretty badly and required surgery. It happened when they were closed so we had to go to the pet er where they wanted to send us over an hour away and had a starting estimate at 7k which was not affordable for us. We called Dr. Bartlet as he's seen simba before and they were able to squeeze him in fast for his leg which required surgery placing a plate and screws in his leg. They took wonderful care of my baby, surgery didn't take too long and he was able to come home same day. We saved a little over 3k going here which made it affordable for us to get the procedure done and we are so grateful to have such a caring vet and his staff that make sure there services are affordable and how loving and caring they are when it comes to our pets. I highly recommend Columbia animal hospital and will continue to use them for any future needs for simba as well as our other two doggies.

Worst experience at a vet period. They will take advantage of you. Took our dog with a potential hip/limp issue (3 year old pup) and was told she needs a shot once a month which would be $100 each visit plus extra costs?? Took her to a second opinion and dasaquin pill over the counter was recommended each morning. Here we are at the pup at age 8 and she’s living life! Don’t come here, they will screw you over.Even more to this post, I asked Columbia animal hospital to transfer all treatment documents to the new vet and they denied to pass along the documents. Secretary’s and Dr Bartlett will take advantage of you and won’t treat your dogs correct.

I really don't even know where to start. Dr. Bartlett and his team are some of the kindest people I have ever come across. My family has been taking their pets here for the last 15 so years and its only been recently, when our cat Caleena had some pretty serious health problems, that it sunk in what a wonderful place this is.It was discovered that Caleena had a tumor on her thyroid that we suspect was also causing a whole host of other health issues. Dr. Bartlett never gave up on her even when things got really bad and we thought we would be leaving the vet without her.In the end, Dr. Bartlett performed a surgery to remove the tumor and I got my cat back. The cat I haven't seen in almost a year. She went from a lethargic, skeletal lump to the thriving, playful and adventurous cat she was this time last year in a matter of weeks after the surgery. I cannot thank Dr. Bartlett and his staff enough for what they have done for us.

They work with customers on pricing, special needs, and care. I was impressed with the service we received today. Neutered my boy on the spot and we were just there for pre neuter shots and steps. xrays were not legible nor sent out to be read by a radiologist, therefore, misdiagnosed and was prescribed medication for a "guessed" ailment. he claimed my dog miraculously healed from a prior ailment that had been diagnosed with Xrays and ct scan elsewhere. in reality she needed surgery . this is so inappropriate and makes people not trust vets - be vigilent and do research

My dog had a tumor on her spleen. This type of tumor can burst so I had to make a quick decision. We saw Dr. Bartlett on a Saturday, he performed the surgery that Monday. My regular vet was stalling with dates, so the fact that he took her so quickly was a huge relief. She stayed over Monday night, they have an intensive care nurse there all night, which was also wonderful. So much better than having to bring her home and possibly rushing her to an emergency vet in the middle of the night. The staff was so incredibly kind with my phone calls to check on her, letting me know how she was doing every step of the way. When I took Addy back for her follow-up appointment, I could tell that during her short stay, her and Dr. Bartlett had become friends. She clearly showed me that she liked and trusted him. Addy is recovering beautifully, and Columbia Animal Hospital will be my regular vet from now on!

Dr. Bartlett and his staff at Columbia Animal Hospital are truly amazing!My cat had a chronic ear infection that his normal veterinarian couldn’t get under control (even after a surgical procedure) so they suggested another, more invasive procedure needed to be done but they couldn’t perform it there. So after lots of research, I came upon CHS and scheduled a consultation. During the consultation, Dr. Bartlett suggested a different surgery that was actually less invasive and would potentially yield better results. Long story short, the surgery was a success and my cat is basically totally cured. The price for the procedure was also competitive - I’ve researched other facilities in PA and everyone was charging approx $2k more for the same procedure.We travel from over an hour away to visit this hospital and in my opinion, it has been well worth it. Everyone there cares about my cat and my concerns, they take time to answer questions and provide information. I truly am so grateful I found CHS and will continue to bring my cat there for future needs.

I recommend this place to anyone who needs a vet Dr Bartlett removed 20 teeth from are Jack Russell and he is a whole new dog its amazing how happy he is compared to how he was before the surgery hes a totally different dog. Dr Bartlett and his team were absolutely wonderful and very professional to me and my girlfriend and Got the surgery done quick and done well we have no reason to go to any other vet. If you have a dog who needs teeth extracted dont hesitate to go here you won't regret it ....Wade danielle and the dogs thank you

My family can not thank the DR and staff more. While preparing for a vacation our dog started getting really sick. We found out after a visit to a local ER that our little one was in need of surgery due to a growing tumor. Everywhere we called was a month out for just the consultation. When calling here the doctor had me there within two hours and set up a plan to have the tumor removed and a week stay on site while we still left for vacation. I was floored by the fact that he squeezed him in as fast as they did and took really good care of our little one while we were away. He is home now and making a full recovery thanks to the staff and DR here.

A friend took my cat Columbia animal hospital because of it losing weight they diagnosed the problem which they did what I feel is a good job now it's time to pay the bill over $765 $400 for blood work I got pretty much the same at my physical the beginning of the year which cost me a little over $300 for everything they even charge me a little over $27 just to use my discover card to pay the bill they gave me a prescription for the cat $33 one month worth of pills I got prescription renewed at rite aid 3 months worth of pills for $10 The only thing they didn't charge for.is parkinanybody out there that thinks that was a fair price I guess I'm living in the wrong time

I would like to rate Columbia animal hospital with five stars I called Dr. Bartlett at 9 o’clock at night on a Saturday to explain my dog kilos situation he had a growth on his spleen Dr. Bartlett worked with me on the price so that I could afford it He also informed me that this was a very important surgeries that need it done right away and he left his home at 10:30 at night to perform the surgery for Kilo The surgery was a success me and my family cannot express enough how much we appreciate Dr. Bartlett and the staff at Columbia animal hospital

Kind and caring staff. Dr. Bartlett is thorough and thoughtful. It was a tough time for my family hearing a poor prognosis for our dog but he took the time to help us understand all the treatment and comfort options and to teach us how to care for him at the end of his life. He made it a little easier for the kids to accept and now they want to be veterinarians when they grow up : )

Never on time. NEVER!!!! And I'm not talking 10-15 behind. I've been taking my lab there for a few years and have always waited at least an hour at minimum past my appointment time. Always! I will be changing vets for this reason as well as the constant push for surgeries. The price for services are what they are. It's like any other service providers. Some are higher than others although I've never escaped without feeling like a discount was owed for my time waiting. I just can't get past the fact that I am expected to be there at my scheduled time and have never been 1 minute late and am expected to just wait. Today I worked a 12 hour day and literally sat in the waiting room for over an hour past my scheduled appointment time,, and an additional 20 minutes after being shown to the examination room. My time is just as valuable as this slow-motion of an operation. My patients has expired. If I'd charge my hourly rate for my waiting time past the scheduled appointment time, I'd be owed money. It's less than 5 minutes from my house and I'd spend less time running to a vet 30 minutes away not to mention the added stress on my pup. I'm just done.SincerelyA very patient man.

We have had Milroy almost 3 years now. A few months ago, he started having seizures. Dr Bartlett not only answered his phone after 1000pm, he referred us to a great emergency vet, then followed Milroy’s care with extremely cautious care, preparing us for the worst possible outcome. Milroy surprised him by thriving with his care, and is back to being the hungriest dog in the world! Yes, he needs daily meds now, but he is enjoying his life to the fullest!

I brought my Guinea pig about 6 months ago when I noticed head tilt and some balance issues. He stated after a very brief exam that he was “faking it”. Months later and a CT scan shoes my pig has a really bad ear infection that can no longer be helped. My poor baby now has to live his life off balance and a puss filled ear as the vet did not do a proper exam or listen to my concerns here.
