Just came out of there for the peanut and croissant donuts. Have to try. Great supermarket for the locals and visitors alike. Great variety. Prices tend to be a bit higher because the closest supermarket besides this one is Weis market which is about 1.5 miles down the road which hits a bit of traffic.

For the most part I love shopping in this store. The deli folks are amazing and I completely appreciate the diligence and work they put into what is currently the last remaining (and clean) salad bar in the region. That alone brings me in at least 2-3 times per week.BUT I am completely over the miserable and cranky older checkout ladies who obviously detest the fact that some of us like to bring our own reusable grocery bags. This has been going on for a long time now and this location is the ONLY store in the area that has cashiers like this.Maybe it is because no one has taught them out to bag using a reusable bag. It is NOT difficult and these bags are much easier to use and are much sturdier than those flimsy plastic bags that bust open before you get them home. The main lesson is: do not put ALL of the heavy items in one bag and ALL of the lighter items in the other. They do this every single time then show their frustration because the bag is heavy for them to lift up onto the counter. Guess what? Then it's heavy for me also to put in the car then have to carry up steps into my home. If there are 2 bags, put some heavy items into the bottom of each bag, then top each one off with lighter weight items. The lighest items such as bread go on the very top. It does not take a genius to figure this out.Today I put my items on the belt hoping P would get the hint - heavy/light, heavy/light. P was in a bad mood already and going by her expression and her not saying a word when I got there, no hello nothing, I could guess how this experience was going to go. She pulled all of the heavy items off the belt and put them into one bag. I could see it was heavy for her to then lift up onto the counter. Then she put the few remaining lighter items in the other bag and asked me if I want my soap items in there. NO, you don't put smelly soap items in the same bag with food. (That is lesson #2: if the customer does not have enough bags, either offer to sell an extra reusable bag, or put those items into a plastic one.) The rest of the time was miserable and she was rude. It's not my fault that YOU don't know how to bag groceries. It's certainly not all of the cashiers here, many are very very nice, but there are a certain few that seem to make the front-end environment toxic overall for everyone. Customers can see this, and we become part of that when we are there.

Employees are hit or miss as far as being helpful/nice. I went this morning to buy brioche bread, and (silly me!) I asked a woman working at the bakery where the brioche bread was. She looked at me like I was the biggest inconvenience to her and said whatever is here is what we have. It was around 10am and she had her bag and was walking out. So I guess I was a terrible bother to her. She was shaking her head as she walked away from me. I was about to leave but decided to look by the deli up front, that's where I found brioche bread. Cashier and young man helping to bag had their own convo about how much their getting paid, apparently home depot pays better. Thankfully the strawberries and blueberries were great, better than weis.

Update - I did call the number you provided. I spoke to Rochelle who kindly took my information. I'm requesting a copy of the video of the event from my company truck cameras. His black jacket looked like it had this stores brand on it.Event - We were parked there this morning, in a bobtail truck. This means it takes a couple of spaces. We parked by the road furthest from the store. We left the truck to get to go food placing a sign in the window saying we are here as customers with our phone number on the sign just incase. The signs in the parking lot only say parking for customers only, we did make sure to read them. We arrived back at the truck and were planning on going into this main store for some groceries. We were brewing another cup of coffee in the truck. Someone knocked on the window, I immediately rolled it down. This man was extremely rude and looked like some sort of angry security personnel he was short and bald headed driving a large dark SUV. He loudly told me get my truck out of there immediately. I said no problem. He then told me he was serious he better not see me again. I told him that's fine. I'm in the driver seat ready to roll and he continued to get meaner and angrier. I was totally compliant and trying to move. He then started coming back towards my window saying, "why are you looking at me crazy?" I am not used to confrontation and perfer peaceful situations. My husband then comes up to the front of the truck and tells this security man he doesn't need to be an Ahole to me. I was really trying to leave quickly because this man was acting way out of line. I was nervous about what he might do next. My truck has cameras all around it and is accessible only by my company. So they will see how the situation went and that I wasn't illegally parked. They will even see that I was a customer there in the plaza. Unfortunately I never got to go in the grocery store. But I'll get groceries elsewhere. As a truck driver it's easier to pick up food and groceries bobtail with no trailer. This man should not be allowed to be in a position to make people feel scared of what he might do. I'm so glad I wasn't alone and that we have our full sided camera system. He also took pictures of me and my truck. Again though I didn't do anything unsafe or wrong so that's OK.

So I stopped in the other day to buy some groceries. I got home an noticed the loaf of bread I purchased was moldy. I drove back to the store to return the bread. At the return desk a bald little man named Joe accused me of trying to return weeks old bread. He got so angry and red I left. Unless you want to have a cage match with an angry little leprechaun, I would shop at a real grocery like Weis or Caravia.

Ever since Gerritys got bought out, their pricing has gone up. They are more expensive than any other store in the area.

Neighborhood type supermarket in a super location. Parking is as tight as the store's space. Prices seem a bit higher than the competition.

Gerrity’s has always been eh to me. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. It’s like they have their place in the market but they are easily beat out by Wegmans or Weis even.Their parking lot design is poor. Not much room for larger vehicles. I understand they are trying to do the best they can with the space they have but it can be a challenge at times to navigate it.I do think their baked goods trump the rest of the “supermarket type” stores in the local area. They make great donuts, delicious breads, and cakes. All in house. But that’s about where it ends for me. I wish I could be more excited about the store but I can’t. It’s plain. Not a wide variety of stock of certain items. It’s really just a bare bones basics store, which is fine. Just a personal opinion.

WHAT HAPPENED!!!........I am updating my review due to the new ownership or whatever is going on. It is unfortunate bc the workers are still wonderful but they are taking away a lot of the great products that I go there to shop for!!!! I don't understand why they let someone come in and completely ruin a great store and great products. I feel they made a huge mistake by doing this switch. I'm so sad that so many of the products I loved to shop here for are no longer on their shelves....very disappointing.

A very very sweet cashier named Lisa caught something that I didn’t catch while wringing me up! She thought the chicken smelled a little funny and had me smell it and she was correct..and I’m so thankful that you have an honestly amazing employee! THANK YOU LISA!

I cannot say enough about this store! The meats are great, the selection is great, and they are so accommodating. They make my shopping experience with children do much easier as each child receives a complimentary cookie, and chicken tender! And the employees are the nicest most helpful people! Thank you so much!

Store was clean, the staff at the registers are the coolest, most down to earth college kids you'll ever meet in such a setting! Always leave after a good laugh smiling and content with my experience and purchases! Little pricey, but extended hours make it super convenient!

Great little, consolidated grocery store where everyone kind of knows each other whether it be from locally neighbouring vicinity, or from shopping here. Reminded me of mini sized Gerritys from the usual I shop in Scranton. Only issue is on multiples occasions when visited by myself and of accompanied with friend whom have children. Felt as an " OUTSIDER " bc everytime I, or my friend looked, WE WERE BEING STARED AT, almost felt like being followed from isle to isle by more than 1 of the associates. Came 30mins to closing time, & LET ME TELL YOU, cashiers, 1 member of managment, & even the customer service desk, made it known to myself and fellow custkmers awaiting to checkout, THAT WE WERE VERY INCONVENIENCING WHICH WAS CAUSING EVERYONE STAYING LATER. **Ran into unforeseen issue paying for order, had misplaced or lost all of a sudden my payment card when it was just in my hand with the cashier agreeing that it was just in my hand, but with just about closing time and still few customers waiting behind me. Management showed up as I was looked around the area to see if I could find it because again, it was just in my hand but the young gentlemen manager just stood like making gestures that I made forgot to bring with me, I started to really feel embarrassed. Especially saying this in front of all customers, with many thanks the cashier spoke up and said she agreed with me that it was just right here a short minute ago. And still just standing looking like he was gunna force me to leave without having found my payment card or more importantly my groceries. I rated this a 2 star when I wanted to give just 1! But the cashier was just attentive and willing to help even while checking out custonerd

It's genuinely better than Wegmans. It's very quiet and clean. It blows the detritus, on Keyser Ave, away. Parking lot is easy managed if you pay attention. It's much bigger than it seems inside too! It's our new grocery store! Even the young cashiers are well mannered.

Gerrity's supermarket is an average supermarket. The staff is often helpful, and it's locally owned.Update: 2022I now find Gerrity's to be my favorite grocery store. I prefer them having registers (as opposed to self checkout), and friendly cashier's. The store is clean, and well stocked. The deli section is the best in town. The bakery is great. If I were to complain, I would say that the parking lot is poorly laid out (not really their fault), and they lack fresh fruits.

Excellent bakery and overall selection, extremely well maintained. Gerrity's is a small chain only found in the Wyoming Valley (I prefer local supermarket chains with that hometown character) and is becoming my go-to place on my foodie runs to Clark's Summit.

I only recently started shopping at gerritys. Each visit has been very nice. The store is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.Plenty of cashiers and deli staff. The only comment I have is the organic vegetables are mixed in amongst regular veggies. There is no one designated organic section..

Got an order of subs today at the made-to-order counter and waited just over 30 minutes to have 4 subs made at about 1pm. No other orders were in front of mine. We asked for extra meat and extra cheese. We paid for it, where was it?

This place is amazing. Gerritys has a great assortment of products with hundreds of sales going on each week. They recently added a beer and wine section to the store making it perfect for your one stop shop saving you time driving down to Chinchilla to the wine store!

Absolutely no selection of regular hot dogs! All they have are oscar meyer regular hot dogs and the rest are all beef! Unbelievable they don't even have Kunzler. They also have almost no selection of barbecue sauces or marinades. They were much better in the past unfortunately it seems they're done away with some of their best products and replaced them with strange odd ball stuff. I can't speak for other locations but this one has really gone downhill.

I have always had great experiences at the Clarks Summit store....run in on the day before a holiday and every worker is asking if they can help you find something and all with smiles on their faces.Tonight was no exception. I came in after work around 9pm no problem getting exactly what I wanted at the deli (the house made roast beef was to die for), the young man at the register as pleasant as can be (I am sorry I didnt get either of their names) and lastly Amanda at the service desk always as helpful as can be even after she was closing up the lottery.Thank you all for you great customer service. It did not go unnoticed by me!!!

Please bring back the plexiglass barriers at the checkout lanes. Since employees and customers are no longer required to wear a mask, the barriers would help people like me feel a bit better. I have young children in my family who are not eligible for the vaccine yet (under 5). I still wear a mask when I go out to help protect myself and them. Thank you.

Prices are much more expensive than my usual grocery store. I only run into Gerrity's when needing a few things because it is very close to my house. Many employees are standoffish. Also, the teenage employees flirt with one another, stop right in the middle of what they're doing to chat with each other, all while customers are waiting to be checked out. There seems to only be a handful of helpful, happy employees.

Excellent choices of all the various food groups. Always fresh. Great choices daily for hot and cold items to take home. There are always four hot soup choices. Customers can eat inside if they wish. The wine and beer selections are first rate. No need to go to a PA wine store. Staff are smart, courteous, and helpful. Never a long wait in line. Dr. Bob Sadowski, Waverly, PA.
