They will hold your prescriptions hostage to get you to overpay, just like CVS, but at least the people are much nicer. Regardless, I am switching to mail order to avoid the 'pharmacy shakedown' as the saying goes. Perfect example of everything that is wrong with the current system....

Wife hurt her wrist and needed a brace that did not rub, so called first to make certain in stock as web not always correct. Woman named Donna had choices ready at the counter. Felt like the way it “Used” to be when patronage deserved expertise.. BLOWS DOORS OFF CVS or anywhere else. Know where to go and HUGE SELECTION..

Today I went to the pharmacy on Northern Blvd. The young lady who was at the desk was very pleasant but, she asked the pharmacist to come over. She arrived and I greeted her and she looked at me with a blank stare, no greeting whatsoever. I explained to her that I am a heart transplant patient and that I needed to get some melatonin and what dosage I should take because that's that they gave me at hospital to relax at night. I clearly explained it to her and when I was done, she said what is it that you want. My response was I just told you. All she did was point in the area and left. That woman definitely does not belong there.

The pharmacy is awful. The pharmacist is rude. Switching after the fiasco the pharmacist put me through to get a non narcotic prescription filled. Switching pharmacies after this last trip.

Every single time I come here as of late there are new hours that weren’t posted or followed before, including one night where there was a paper taped to the door saying they were closed (not matching the hours on the door). I used to be able to stop in before work, now they don’t open til 8. And when I can find time in the evening, there are things like papers taped to the door about closing early. Today, I stopped in after a doctors appointment to pick up a prescription that had been called in a short while before, and they told me I’d have to come back after their lunch, because they were closing in 10 minutes. It was a blister pack type of prescription. No reason it couldn’t be filled within 10 min. I’m growing increasingly frustrated and think I may just switch pharmacies.

My wife just had a knee procedure and called to see if the pharmacy was open at the drive-thru. They close it sporadically and it appears as they please! The young lady told her yes. She immediately left the house and went down there and they had a handwritten note that actually said drive-thru window closed! She pulled up anyways to see if somebody might come to the window and the pharmacist and text just glanced at her and acted like they didn't see her! She came back home and I went down and went inside to pick up her prescription!UPDATE: My wife transferred here prescriptions to the CVS in Clarks Summit...

Drive thru always closed. I’ve gotten the same prescription every month for 7 yrs and when it’s time for a refill they have to order it and it’s never ready when I call it in. Was told it’ll be ready today at 3. I go in next day and they don’t have it ready. Pharmacy very disorganized. Nothing but problems for years. Moving to CVS as soon as possible.

The parking lot is ridiculous.. Hit a major pothole entering and my tire was flat (and blown out) when I came out of the store 5 minutes later... only to find two more large potholes at the other entrance to the lot. Needed a new tire immediately. Expensive stop at Rite Aid considering I didn't even make a purchase (item needed was not in stock) This is unaccepatable! Will never go back there.

My son dropped off a prescription that needed to be mixed. Waited 1/2 hour and nothing. Not done, and no one attempted to tell him how long it would take. I phoned, "it has to be mixed, come in 20 minutes. After giving them 20 minutes I then proceed to sit in the prescription pickup line for 30 minutes. Finally get to the window, and "oh, it has to be mixed". This is the most understaffed, inefficient pharmacy I have ever been to! I usually take my business to CVS. I will never go there again for anything!

Yesterday, I took my 6 year old daughter there for a flu shot. Our doctors office was backed up with getting the flu shot so they had suggested that we try our local Rite Aid, so we did. The cashier at the pharmacy took my information and insurance card and then said "the pharmacist will come out when he is ready". The pharmacy was very busy; so we patiently waited....for more than 20 minutes. My daughter was getting antsy and she was very nervous to begin with knowing that she was about to get a shot. The pharmacist could clearly see us and everyone else who was waiting and made no attempt to accommodate any of us. Horrible customer service, horrible pharmacy. Clearly understaffed and mismanaged. I will not return.

Please hire more people in your pharmacy. It's hard to talk to a pharmacist to see if a prescription is ready. I know those poor guys are scrambling to do the best they can. It doesn't look good if you can't keep employees because you're overworking them. Shame on this company. Do better.

I went into Clark’s summit to buy a blood pressure cuff. Went on rite aid’s own website to check ratings and chose one. Then I looked back to the shelf, where the same exact $36.99 item is $59.99 (with free shipping online). Manager was called to the register and said they can’t price match their own website?! Seems like an identity crisis when you are willing to pay shipping (and let a customer walkout) and I am standing right there wanting the same part number with no shipping cost on your end. I don’t get it. But I will be buying one on Amazon. Everyone in the store was really friendly though.

Great staff and store but no one answers the phone! Called 510 pm to pick up a script ready and no one answers. Changed to talk to front desk no one answers 5 times each Dept!!! Open front til 12 midnight and pharmacy til 6. Ugh

This pharmacy sucks. I hate this place. The head pharmacist Paul Rumensky is rude and coniving. I like Cristina Penetar and Lisa Carson but Paul just sells needles to junkies and I have heard him talk to his employees like crap. He is the pharmacy manager, unfortunately. I will be calling corporate to complain and I will be taking my medication to CVS Pharmacy down the road at 101 N. State Street Clarks Summit PA 18411.

The worst service! I need a prescription that is brand necessary not generic due to bad reaction. I go to rite aid every month NOW I was told they can’t dispense it for days because store overprescribing......was told to call around for another store. Was forced to get generic and now I am having awful side effects!!! Will never go to RA again!!!!

Mostly friendly staff. Usually only a really busy place from about 4-6pm M-F. Don't like the new set up. The checkout area is so small and congested. It's def an annoyance and reason to shop elsewhere. Just saying.
